neowalkers is best, people will know what you're talking about without needing context etc. As for the 'are players neowalkers or not' question... in my mind, anyone who started before Lorwyn isn't. I started slingin' spells back durin' the Ice Age, ya little whippersnappers, and I ain't changin' my ways now! Now get off me lawn!
Well, whereas the neo-walkers was the first term to emerge when we were discussing the FS book, I feel that planescrawler embodies the nature of these guys the best.
There is a clear relation to planeswalkers, yet there is apparent that they are something far lesser than their predecessors.
But the WTF and CRAP acronyms are great I saw them for the first time here.

How can Bolas have a normal spark now, then? I mean, TS block killed off all the other old 'walkers, so we don't really get to see any before/after comparisons (yet, at least), but my interpretation of the planeswalker site is the way sparks flare has been changed. Eventually, all the old walkers would die out, but I don't recall (perhaps because I don't wish to) the retroactive disempowerment of existing walkers.

The Fat Pack booklet directly states that the very nature of the planeswalker spark has changed. I will post the quote as soon as I arrive back home where I keep the booklet.

For eon, planeswalkers were demigods all but immortal, able to take any form, with boundless power. Then the multiverse was threatened by fractures in the fabric of time, and the planeswalker Teferi discovered that only by surrendering their Sparks could he and his allies mend the rifts in Dominarian planar fabric. As each temporal rift closed, the nature of the Spark changed. When the last of the fractures healed, the planeswalkers' godlike powers were gone. The Spark has taken on a new, more balanced meaning: no immortality, no boundless power...simply the ability to travel across the planes of the multiverse.
There it goes. The planeswalker existence was not limited on Dominaria, as we know. The old planeswalkers are now either dead, MIA (Karn) or fled beyond the borders of the 'verse (Bolas), never to return. And if there are any planeswalkers elsewhere, they all have been depowered to planescrawlers. If Jaya indeed still lives, she is no more than a planeswalking task mage, but supposedly a very powerful one.
As for Bolas...well, he was almost a supernatural being even before his ascension, and it may be assumed that his planeswalkerhood just gave him the ability to walk planes, but he might have been on par with planeswalkers power-wise even before he ascended, simply by the fact of being a "mere" Elder Dragon.
If Bolas returns to Multiverse, he may be very well the most powerful being.

sawbladex, I agree that flying is not the most important ability, but really, bradywalkers are mortal. Many of planes' physical rules can differ and kill those guys instantly, when they 'walk into it. If the rules of the plane won't kill them, there are big chances they will appear on it in location where their chances of survival decrees dramatically. For example 100 feet under water There was no such problem with the real ones.
They may not be immortal, but they are still WIZARDS. REALLY POWERFUL WIZARDS.they can't auto shape shift etc., but I assume most of them have very great abilities to survive in extremely hostile environments. Sure, you can probably trap them under a mile of ice or something and they wouldn't be able to escape. Like a certain very powerful (evil?) mage.
I think neo walkers are closer in power to non-sparked Elder Dragons or the most powerful wizards of the ages. Maybe pre ascension Mishra or Urza

minor point here, misha wasn't a planeswalker, and neither urza nor mishra used magic prior to urza's ascension...
as for the whole neowalker thing, i haven't decided if i like them or not yet, they remind me of the old style of characters from pre-rev times, if wizards starts killing them all off by the truckload though, they'll be kind of pointless
and chandra probably learned what she knows from jaya before jaya died from whatever

Why would flying help you in the Blind Eternities? The ability to planeswalk would seem to be more effective.
