Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.

Blinding Souleater (sorry, Smokestack). It's just vague, and the fact that it has a significant portion of its features obscured by blinding light, while apt, doesn't endear it to me. It can be blinding to other things, but I'd kind of like to see what it looks like.

Darksteel Relic. What's up with the golden line cutting through the hand as well as the relic? And the relic itself looks like garbage, not some indestructible gem.
HM to Hovermyr for looking extremely Phyrexian while bearing a Mirran watermark.
Category is artifact creature. Warning issued.

The "line" you are referring to is a ring. I can agree with the garbage comment though, but that might have been the point.
I second Pestilent Souleater. It just looks like a pile of garbage, not the victorious Phyrexian that it should be.

Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.
Trespassing Souleater.
It looks like that bullet enemy in Super Mario...and...he is grinning?

Trespassing Souleater - looks downright goofy, almost cartoonishly so. It has no place as a Phyrexian, or as something called a "souleater."

Insatiable Souleater. I'd like to see the art commission descriptions for the soul eater cycle. I imagine it was somewhere along the lines of draw the most awkwardly shaped bodies compiled from rubbish. The only decent looking one is Immolating Souleater

The "Line" is a ring, and something similar is present on all the Darksteel cards. If you look at the right hand, this is stupidly obvious. And I actually kinda appreciate that it looks dirty, it's a nice display of texturing- and it definitely conveys durability.
Hovermyr....looked Phyrexian? Did you see the Myrs? Especially the old ones. It was a nicely flavorful card- and the art definitely fit both the set's theme and the Flavor text.
Hex Parasite. The thing is supposed to be a parasite, but it just looks like a boring creature. Plus, everything is tilted for absolutely no reason.
Raymond Swanland isn't for everyone- but none of his stuff is bad. Or would you prefer a monumental failure like the new Smallpox?
My vote goes to Trespassing Souleater. The ****? So it's a bullet bill going through a wall. I get embarrassed to draft it, though it's great. I understand the goal was a "Jin-Gix styled card going through a ****ing wall," but they could have done a lot more with "Tools for experimenting." It would've been creepy as hell to see something with tons of drills and saws going through a wall.

I'm very amused that all of the Souleaters got at least 1 vote. I think that everyone on this thread can agree that the Souleater cycle fails, artwise.
My vote is for Necropouncer. OK, I see the germ. But what is that thing that it's riding? It looks like a blob of slightly rancid fat sculpted into the vague shape of a threatening beak. I don't get it. I don't get how it gives +3/+1, and I really don't get how it gives Haste. That thing should give "This creature cannot attack or block and gets a -1/-1 counter every turn until it gains protection from dairy".
Bleh.
Edit: HM to Shrine of Loyal Legions, which creates tokens and yet has no loyal legions in the picture. Maybe one loyal thing. That's not a legion.

I also like to imagine that he has a rotating torso (like a metallic graft that fuses his upper and lower body together), so he can spin all around, leveling everything within 20ft of him to rubble.
Unwinding Clock. This thing looks like it was done entirely through Photoshop commands, filters and tools without the airbrush/paintbrush tool or any kind of personal touch being used at all.
