As a Charleston player I'm happy to have one here again (I missed the one 6 years ago). Hopefully players travel out further than just the Colosseum and actually see parts of the city.

Getting into Modern if you have any commons/uncommons you want to unload for cheap (everything before Zendikar needed). My trade list.
Wow they are ending with Nagoya and Toronto on the same weekend, interesting and the next PT is Seattle with Modern, oh wow this is gonna be a epic finish to the 2012 season when it comes around.
Basically, if you want to open packs to get cards for Standard and Modern, the simpler approach is to just buy all the singles you need and then set some money on fire to make up the difference.
I thought they said it was going to only be 3 Pro Tours this year and not 4 since Worlds was it's own pro tour event, so we know all 3 of the PT's this year and as i type this PT: Dark Ascension is still going on.
Besides Seattle is Modern/Booster Draft, this is information revealed in the article.
Awesome how Canada, the second largest fricken country, has as many GPs as France. Serious, WTF. There is maybe 1% of Canadians that will actually get a chance to play in a GP because of the locations. Everyone between Manitoba and Alberta are screwed unless they want 7 hour road trips, never mind Quebec and the Maritimes.
W may only be paid with white mana. U may only be paid with blue mana. B may only be paid with black mana. R may only be paid with red mana. G may only be paid with green mana. C may only be paid with colorless mana. 1 may be paid with white, blue, black, red, green, or clolorless mana.

To be fair, France has a population of 65 million, Canada 35 million, so perhaps that should be the defining factor? 5.5 million live in the GTA, so that's a good percentage of Canada in itself. And it's not that far from Montreal to Toronto, plenty of people made the trip the other way last year
The Maritimes get a raw deal, but having one out there would preclude even more people from attending

Because country size has everything to do with population size right? And population size has everything to do with how many magic players are in a country, right?

Let's hope we see 2 more legacy gp, and dare I hope for a team constructed gp (standard, modern, legacy). I'm thrilled with about 5 of the gps being makable drives/flights for me (more if there are international legacy gps among the last third)

Mad props to Wizards for scheduling the last US GP during the weekend immediately following Thanksgiving.
Because, people really need to be traveling away from their families during the holidays to go play a GP...
Actually thanksgiving is on the last thursday in November so it will be the weekend before thankgiving, and I am so stoked because San Antonio, a "small town" compared to other Texas cities, is getting a GP. Lived here my whole life and now I get to see SA host a GP.
You can drive across France in less time than it would take to drive across Ontario. Canada needs more GPs
The fact that Canada is getting a GP is a good sign they probably will get more for the future. What Magic will most likely do tho, is to continue to put GPs near the border of Canada and US such as in New York or like Minnesota to encourage players from both countries.

Paris has broken every record in terms of attendance, I'd say France deserves a couple GPs.
Man, I keep weeping for South America. Double the number of GPs, we still get only one. Sad times. :/
Also funny how Mexico and Costa Rica, the other Latin American locations for this year, are more accessible to North Americans than to South Americans (and we all know how many GPs the North Americans get already).
Yeah, I know, there are obviously a lot of factors to this decision. Still makes me sad, as I feel South America has a huge semi-untapped market.
With the expanded schedule I was hoping there would be a Nor Cal and a So Cal GP and we get Los Angeles and San Francisco. I've never been to SF so I'll definitely have to get there on Thursday to see the sights. Fingers crossed that the format is sealed deck!

I'm excited for Philly of course, I might try to attend Chicago or Charleston, but I'm unsure at this point.
