Prices checked at Starcity Games...a site that is frequently quoted for over-charging (even if it is just slightly).

i dunno where you're getting your prices from... Ajani Goldmane is only averaging $6 on ebay. Garruk averages $8. Nissa is around $11. Nicol Bolas goes for $9. Mind, these are average ebay prices. Maybe from online stores you can buy them that high...

Jace's current "Draw a card" ability is a -1. You expect a Brainstorm ability which not only draws you a card but filters through 3 cards of your library in one of the most powerful filter effects ever created to be... +1?

Well I don't know about you guys, but I vote "magiccards.info." Every planeswalker except Elspeth is 12- at the lowest unplayed, and all but 2 are 10- (those being Nissa and Sorin).

I'm going by MOTL prices, the ebay average prices.

At any rate, I had no problem opening any of the Planeswalkers in Worldwake. I opened more of them than the ALA ones, to be sure.

I want to know how you got Worldwake already, 'seds. Spill the beans on the other walkers.

Anyway, I'm getting the impression we're looking at a +2, -1, -1, -lots scheme, based on the abilities. Even repeatable, if sorcery, Unsummon/Boomerang is powerful, especially if you only need to skip one turn (+2 ability) to do it twice more.

Maybe we have to offer him a Pickle's Nickel so he can leak some info.

I'll be like a demon trying to trade this card from under people's hands. I forsee it being a major player in Control decks for years to come; if it's got well-costed loyalty, it'll see play outside of Standard, which will drive the price up. My advice: If you get some, hold onto them, because it'll likely only go up after the release of the next block, when Worldwake is no longer drafted.

Unless you're at my store, that is. Then you should definately trade them away, they're terrible

Eh, it doesn't have as much synergy in worldwake as it does with it's other 2 counterparts. DAMN YOU SARKHAN!!!

I hope that they actual use the four abilities right and not completly unblanced...

The Unsummon ability seems pretty good with cascade creatures, specifically Bloodbraid Elf. I really hope they didn't make the Unsummon a +1 ability...

So far, the spoilers have been a dream for control players compared to the past few sets.

We've already been over this. Unsummon is NOT + anything. The first is a plus, and as we saw in a pic from yesterday, the second ability is clearly a down arrow, which means the others are as well. I predict -1.

We should assume the first one as scry for one.

The second and third abilities we should also assume that one is card draw OR tutor *can't rule a tutor out since hey IS the mind sculptor*,

Most likely since the image shown says "owner's hand." the third ability must be a bounce ability.

His fourth ability seems something *going from the image* ............

"Exile target player's library, then shuffle his or her hand into his or her library."

I'm calling this now his ult will be something like this. Man would that be cool

I used my eye and found an exact size to the text on the picture and the text is too long for the first part to actually be "Exile target player's library," But the ability must be something similar to what I have said.

@flyinpenguin: Unsummon would be ok, but PW's abilities are sorceries. Why would you want an instant to be a sorcery I want him to bounce permanents instead. It would work out much much better especially in the long run for control decks

@Hate: Where do you see a "clear downward arrow" because the image in the first post doesn't show any arrow at all *besides the first abilities one* But I haven't seen any of the other posts is there a clearer picture that shows an arrow?

I usually split a box with a friend. And if this guy keeps getting better like this i'm going to split a box with a friend and buy my own.

Also to those who think it could be the prerelease or release card. We can only hope so that we all get at least one for free! Otherwise good luck getting them in packs

EDIT: it also seems like he'll be fairly skill testing and strong. Between this and that land, things are already looking incredibly good for control. Lets hope they keep this up and instead of just printing a Jund hoser, they increase the overall powerlevel of standard.

I'm hoping the - ability isn't unsummon. Unsummon, as mentioned earlier in the thread, is terrible as a sorcery-only. I'm still crossing my fingers for Telepathy instead. I'm ignoring any speculated japanese text in doing this of course^_^

Couldn't it say "Exile all cards in target player's library" instead?

Hey, for the second ability Im almost certain it will read, "Draw three cards, choose 1 of those cards, and return the other two to the top of your library in any order". I say this because I can read Japanese and the card reads so far, "Draw three...put two cards on your library..." then the right edge reads "order".

Which is essentially what Brainstorm does. We've already figured that out.

My bad, I was mixing brainstorm with ancestral recall due to my below average memory.
