Every morning, Kal hiked along the Rubblebelt to climb a ruined spire of a long-abandoned Orzhov cathedral so he could gaze into the recently acquired Izzet industrial zone. Strange apparatuses, steaming pipes, and inexplicable holes were everywhere. Kal had no idea what they were researching but he found it fascinating. He watched the Izzet chemisters and guildmages summon huge hyper-voltaic weirds to bore holes and power machines. Occasionally, Kal heard a loud pop from one of the numerous goblin assistants that wandered too close to the enormous weirds and were flash-boiled in the creature's powerful mana-fields. This often prompted a spontaneous goblin game of "shove and pop"—which was not approved by the chemisters.
Kal was sent to watch the Izzet by his clan leader, Nikya of the Old Ways, to make sure the Izzet didn't move into Zhur-Taa territory or, worse, disturb the gods their clan believed lay sleeping under Ravnica. Although Kal was a shaman, all Gruul were raised as hunters, so his ability to move silently and stalk prey far more attentive than the Izzet made this assignment an easy one.
But Kal also showed signs of having a sensitivity to magic that few of the Gruul shamans understood. He could sense the strange magic of the Izzet, its frenetic, crackling, and unpredictable energy was something Kal could feel as if he were immersed in it. He liked the excitement and uncertainty that was in every Izzet spell and he sat on the vine-covered balcony, silently observing the manic work of the Izzet mages, watching the way they moved mana. The young shaman absorbed it all well into the evenings amid the deep thrum of the Izzet manacoils.

Much has been forgotten by the droning people of Ravnica. The steady hum from the gears of industry has lulled them into a stupor. They plod through their routines as demanded by their guilds. To fill the holes in their souls, they seek spiritual fulfillment in the false gods of Ravnica; the Chorus, the Firemind, the angels, or worse, the Ghost Council or the Demonlord. These “gods” were created by mortals, by words written 10,000 years ago. People revere them because they are here, it is easy, and because that is what the rules say they must do. These beings occupy the space in Ravnicans' souls where humility used to reside. These beings occupy the minds of Ravnicans, and make them forget about sharks, make them forget that there used to be the Old Gods.
To say that the Cult of Yore worships these Old Gods would be incorrect. Some of them are no good, and we are better off with them gone. But, there are some to which we still pay them homage and attention. Unlike the created lords of the Guildpact, these gods did not make demands or accept sacrifices. They did not require or answer prayers. They were there only to humble us; living, walking examples of the world's vastness, diversity, unpredictability, danger, wonder, horror, and complexity beyond our comprehension. They were the Nephilim. Or rather, they are the Nephilim.
may be its a clue that we may get a another nephilim?
In the random "possible DGM" spoiler we got from some business guy rolling through WotC, he said there were hybrid Nephilim in DGM. This may lend a little credence to his contribution.

In that thread, he also said the Gruul mechanic was "explore." I think we can dismiss those cards as fake.

There were several problems with those cards including the incorrect Gruul mechanic. We are moving forward assuming that the cards are fake unless we get additional info or the supposed pictures from the poster.

I dont think so. I mean they have already given the name of this Boar God that is supposed to awaken, and he sounds alot like a rainbow rare. With a small set with all 10 guild with a rumored legend cycle, I just dont see a new neph cycle. Would kinda be stupid.

yes its true ,had missed
soo we can assume( or speculate) that DGM will have a cicle of rare guild champs and MR spell for each guild. Its possible we get extra MR slots?
and its possible to get then at som rare's slot?
I don't see what the big deal is about them making new legendary Nephilims. There is only 5 of them and they could be mythic rares.
This is how I see it, there is totally enough room to have the Guild Champions and Nephilims all in the same set. I would rather have stuff that player's want than to have stuff that is just filler.
It's too perfect of an opportunity for legendary 4-color creatures. I imagine they could devote a few mythic slots to having these guys around.

I sincerely believe everyone on here is capable of being polite and respectful to one another. There is no reason to be insulting someone because they don't share your opinion or haven't been playing the game as long as you have.
