I think the filter lands are a much better choice for this set than any of the other lands. In my experience, they're better in EDH unless you have fetches or land search and I can't see all of these decks having fetches or land search (seeing as land search is mostly green).
I expect to see signets and bouncelands. I wouldn't mind seeing a single new land made with commander in mind, like this:
Commander Tower
Legendary Land
{T}: Add to your mana pool one mana of any color that a card in any zone other than a player's hand or library could produce.
I'm surprised noone has mentioned Spectral Searchlight yet. I think it's the likeliest of the Darksteel Ingot, Obelisks, Coalition Relic, etc... style manafix we're going to get, as it has its political uses as well.

That would make a lot of sense in political puppets, but I'd guess the other decks might just have Ingot instead.

Ooh, that sounds like a good idea!
I wonder if it kind of counteracts the mechanic that lets other people pay mana on your spell, though.
If wizards produces wedge lands and wedge panorama's, are they likely to give these names ala "esper," "bant," etc that the wedges will be identified as thereafter?

I would hope for "Dega Panorama," "Ceta Panorama," etc. a la Apocalypse.

Maybe they'll be named after the Planar Chaos dragons, kind of like the lairs from Invasion block (e.g. Teneb's Command Tower).
Personally I'd like to see a Murmuring Bosk without the creature restriction for each wedge, but that's probably asking too much.
You may not be to far off. Something like "Reveal a creature from your hand, add one of any color of said creature" orr add a color of any creature you control in any zone.

Agreed.
But I think that making this land legendary would suck when other people played them, and I can see them making the land relevant to commander only.

City of Brass seems like it should go in every deck and it could use a reprint. Quite frankly I'm banking on it. City is way more likely than Gemstone Mine since it's useful all game and this is a 40 life format.

I believe Grand Coliseum is better in EDH, and is more newbie friendly than City of Brass. The coliseum can't be used to kill you, and doesn't have to hurt you every time you use it.
Although, I have been waiting to see a card like City of Ass for a long time:
City of Bronze Land
City of Bronze enters the battlefield tapped. T: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool.

Is that really too strong?
too strong for edh? no. for standard yeah. legacy? no idea.
Because conservative bias is a far, far worse thing. Liberal bias doesn't, statistically speaking, make people stupid. Conservative bias (or at least Fox's version of it) does.
Rupture spire would say it;s too powerfull.Plus it makes running any citp tapped land obsolete. Vivid lands might be possiblities but I doubt they will make lands that could make colors outside the general for teaching rules rules of the format.

This is strictly better than Vivid Lands, and considering that the Vivid lands were completely abusable; I'd guess they won't be improving on that particular area of design anytime soon. You're probably right that they wouldn't actually matter in Eternal formats, but they should still be adhering to modern design principles.
Wit's End is the PERFECT answer to your opponent's Monomania however.
Just hold on to your Wit's End when they Monomania, so you can Wit's End them on your next turn!!!
I think this is fairly reminiscent of the "Jace Battles" we have seen in past standards.. My guess is we will soon witness the great Monomania-Wit's End battles.
For reference, here's the Heavenly Inferno deck, sheared to normal proportions:
Let the comparison begin!
BTW, I see duals! Last card third row, first card fourth row!
Edit: also note the Rakdos Signet and Boros Signet fourth row from below. Akroma, Angel of Fury third row from below, fourth card. Malfegor second row from below, first card.

Commander Tower (See Obelisks)
3 Signets (one for each guild)
Spectral Searchlight/Coalition Relic/Darksteel Ingot/Prismatic Lens/Mana Cylix/Springleaf Drum (probably more then one, but depends on the deck's theme).
Terramorphic and it's cousin.
Some multicolored lands (I see WRBshard getting Akoum Refuge + Vivid Meadow, for instance).
Green decks might get some land tutoring.
Nongreen decks will turn to artifact-fixing help.

That would be strictly better than the original duals, so no, not going to happen, ever.

In a way yes and no. Only one basictype and pay 1 for the other colors. The less basic type makes em less reliable for decks like zoo.

Both are very much under construction. Please stop by and talk about it!

Well we're dodging Standard, and I'm pretty sure Legacy is already fine on its colors.

There are 24 (8 of each) and what looks to be around 12-16 non basics, none of which look to be gold.
