I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt it. Ok, its getting up to Tarmogoyf prices, tarmogoyf play, and tarmogoyf-esq hype.
They failed on Halo Hunter, and it is a MUST deal with card.
I think of Baneslayer as an experiment card. Unless they want to be annoying, it won't be reprinted.

Baneslayer is not even scary, and I see people having them but not playing them. It is NOT A GOYF!

Goyf was splashed for, it's not as widely played as Goyf. The prices though? Haha
So you know, M11 design was finished right before M10 hit the shelves.

Obviously Baneslayer Angel is powerful, but it's nowhere near Goyf status. These comparisons need to stop. You can play Goyf on turn 2, and in extended currently, he's easily a 3/4 and counting by then. That is insane for as little an investment as 1G. Yes, Baneslayer is nuts, but it's a 5-drop and not easily splashed (as has been mentioned). The reason it's approaching critical mass in terms of pricing is because it's a mythic rare. I know people hate the complaining about mythic rare, etc, but I mean, that's the reason. This is a 18-20 dollar rare, but a 30-35 dollar mythic because they are so much harder to obtain. Once Zendikar hits, and everyone stops cracking M10 packs, it's going to be even more insane.

Because of the Future-Future League, and because of a tendency in the past for Wizards to respond to the Standard metagame with cards here and there (Volcanic Fallout, Great Sable Stag), I'm sure they're willing to make changes here and there before M11 hits stores, especially with a mythic rare that requires 0 consideration for M11 limited.

This is an interesting prediction. If Banselayer continues to be a card of choice, I could see it. Even hardcore collectors in my area are struggling to get baneslayers without busting out the wallet. I'm the only one I've seen locally w/ a playset, and I've been loaning it out left and right to buddies.
I don't have any hard numbers on this, but I'm targeted more often than a black guy driving a beat-up sedan with a broken tail-light and no license plate, and Cy's well aware of that.
Completely understand that the Dev Team will make adjustments. I was just stating that it was more likely than not already in the design file for M11. If it gets cut is the real question now.

it'd be ultra nice if they printed it in m11. giving it another year in standard
i agree, if for different reasons. printing it in m11 would mean more supply, hopefully meaning lower prices (but probably not very likely based on that alone). also, giving it another year in stadard gives it another year of context to view it in, possibly showing that it is't as powerful in this context as it had been previously....again, hopefully meaning lower prices.
"Hey guys Baneslayer Angel is probably going to wreak havoc this upcoming Standard!"
"Ok, let's make a hoser for her!"
"Here we go! Halo Hunter! When he enters the battlefield, destroy target Angel! Problem solved!"
...yeah.
Really? Of all things to whine about, a lack of BSA hosers is certainly not one of them.
Doom Blade, Deathmark, Essence Scatter, Path to Exile all come to mind as BSA hosers. The best part about all of them is that they're not that narrow.
It's a well-designed card. That another card (of many possible targets) is immune to it does not make it a bad design. Baneslayer Angel doesn't need a hoser.

I would have to agree... For one thing, BSA is nowhere near the auto-include that goyf was (or still is in many situations... lookin at you legacy). I sure haven't lost every time my opponent has resolved a Baneslayer. Answers are available in most decks, and are often pretty cheap and/or splashable compared to the angel herself. Spekter gave a list of nice cheap "hosers"... don't forget terminate as well.

Do you actually think about what you're saying? You think that every single person in Wizards R&D just "forgot" that Baneslayer had protection? And no one noticed in the whole time that the set was being playtested, honestly?

Some people are just stupid, it seems. -_-
I am disappointed that they made Halo Hunter a demon, though, because if he WERE able to kill Baneslayer he would be much, much better.
The problem with Baneslayer Angel is that she has a choke-hold on the "big flying creature" slot in any control deck. It's either her or BMD, and BMD is much more difficult to cast with the demise of 5cc. She obseletes far, far too many other cards, and I truly hope they axe her in M11 in order to let other cards see daylight.
can anyone confirm this?
I'm not sure he'll win that battle, myself.

It's not as widely played as Goyf yet... Just wait I have a feeling Baneslayer hasn't hit critical mass yet.

I completely agree with this. Halo Hunter is quite possibly one of the most catastrophic failures of card design I have seen in a while.
I disagree. I think Halo Hunter is a great, flavorful card, and could be quite powerful.
No, the problem here is with the overpowered Angel, not the perfectly fine Demon.
