Been looking at the Planeswalker comics lately and most of them follow the cards quite nicely. Ajani gets his eye cut out and becomes Vengant. But what about Garruk When we last saw him he was inflicted with a curse by Liliana. The only reasons I looked into this was the fact that: 1) There was rumored to be another planeswalker in the set. 2) I bought a fat pack with that comic in it. 3) There is nothing spoiled!

You remember that time when we did that thing?
Nope.
Exactly.
Sorry to disappoint you but the first version of Ajani was the mono white Ajani Goldmane originally released in Lorwyn. M10 was just a reprint.
Storyline doesn't always follow the cards as far as a time line goes. I think AG is the older (as in age) version while AV is his younger self. Therefor Vengeant > Goldmane.

Getting into Modern if you have any commons/uncommons you want to unload for cheap (everything before Zendikar needed). My trade list.

sorry but I'm pretty sure you're wrong, from what I've heard about the storyline although the cards were printed in the chronological order goldmane -> vengeant, their order within the storyline is vengeant -> goldmane. Notice how he looks older and has more prestigious standing/armor in the goldmane image (whether this is coincidence, just the artist's styles, or on purpose, I would rather give wizards some credit)
Also, It's highly unlikely a green/black garruck, Nissa is the one using black magic.
Nissa is supposed to become black/green (as it seems in the duels of the planeswalkers), so its kinda weird that both green planeswalkers get a similar ending... Dunno which one is gonna be true though (if any...).
I feel like to avoid overlap, they'll probably just do Nissa as G/B, and instead of printing Garruk, the Sick/Infected, they'll just give him a G/W version after he's cured like:
Garruk Cleansed 3GW
Planeswalker - Garruk
+2: Target creature you control gets protection from instants and sorceries until your next turn.
0: Search your library for a basic land card. Reveal it, then put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library.
-3: Until your next turn, whenever a creature attacks, you gain 2 life.
-9: Put any number of creature cards in your hand onto the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on them.
4
To be honest, I feel as though planeswalkers shouldn't get new versions when something happens to them, but rather when they voluntarily change the style of magic they operate with. Ajani went from angry to at peace. Chandra went from one style of red to another, or Nalaar to Ablaze :P. The only reason I don't like new Jace is that it doesn't really show any change in the planeswalker. Therefore, giving Garruk a black card seems unfair because he wouldn't be using his curse powers for his own benefit, he thinks its a curse.

Wow is that the red "bloodied" vampire mark on her forhead there? It looked at first like a widow's peak kinda peice of hair, but that definitely looks red to me....
And hey, look who she is battling side-by-side with... Sorin...hmmm
Please, accept that Magic costs money to play, and drop it. A playset of Baneslayers>playset of duals. New Jace>Force of Will. Etc... Not to mention, Legacy is so wide open, that it's easy to build a deck that can perform reasonably well without very many "money staples" at all.
nothing about this photo points out to me that she will be B/G because it shows he using green spells and it doesn't look like her appearance has changed. If you are suggesting so by the company she keeps in the photo, i doubt that will have anything to do with it because it is a promo, and just like when we got promos in Shards block of all the planeswalkers fighting Nicol Bolas, it didn't actually promote that the fight truly did happen. I think it is just a promo that has no warrant on what colors she is except for Green.

You may be on to somthing here.
i don't think that is a red mark.. it is just dark tinting just like on the Nissa card.
That art shows Nissa with the same facial tattoos/war paint as she has in her own card, and both versions of the art of her Chosen have similar markings. It's probably just the identifying mark of her clan. (Although it's true that Zendikar vampires also have designs in paint/blood/ink on their bodies and faces.)

Well she is fighting with Sorin because they have formed a tenative allience in Destroying-Re-sealing the eldrazi. However Nissa wants them destroyed where Sorin wants them re-sealed. Regardless According to the WotC planeswalker page, Nissa learned black magic in llorwyn not from Sorin

It's probably just art, though. If it gave any solid spoiler as to what RoE is going to be like, it's more likely that Nissa and Sorin side against the Eldrazi for a greater good, rather than Nissa turning G/B.
And yeah, those tatoos were there before RoE. Check her card.

GENERATION 16 - (The first time you see this, copy it into your sig and add 1 to the generation. social experiment.)
Apart from most people, I think Garruk will become (G/B) as part of his development.
As for Nissa, I think she'll still be monogreen. The B cards in her precon was only to make use of Lorwyn elves, not to portray her personality.
Except Nissa was explicitly said to be practicing using black mana. Garruk has grown more violent and irrational, but hasn't tried to do anything using black mana.
Therefore, giving Garruk a black card seems unfair because he wouldn't be using his curse powers for his own benefit, he thinks its a curse.
This!
We saw Garruk Mercy Killing his own creature because it was cursed. If anything, he's leaning white. He hates how Liliana uses death magic (black, enemy vs G/W), and puts things out of their misery (green) because he can't heal them (white).

Except white is the prime color of CIVILIZATION.
You know, that thing Garruk abhors? Remember that right?
If Garruk willfully chose any color, he'd probably choose to go g/r
Saying that Garruk would go white because he heals is a stupid argument, because Green usually has better healing than white does.
As for g/b... it just doesn't sit well. It isn't something that Garruk chose, it was something done to him.
id like Nissa to stay green and pray for the elves to make a nice comeback and stomp everyone in WWk and RoE but i also think G/B will be a color combo in one of the next two sets...
The only reason I say Garruk and not Nissa is because they already made Nissa in the Zendikar block plus they seem to be re-making all of the Llorwyn planeswalkers i. e. Ajani Vengant, Chandra Ablaze, Jace the Mindsculptor

Goldmane IS missing an eye. His left eye.
Ajani lost it sometime before the events of Alara Unbroken, and we don't really know when or why it is missing.
I could see a mono-black Garruk that doesn't really work in black's colors completely. Sort of showing a resistance.
Ew.
No garruk will never become a mono black card. And from the comic, He seems to be avoiding using magic at all, relying on his strength until he finds a cure
I beleave Wizards felt they have overdone multicolour, normally reading articles you hear things about how they dont like to always use the same theme and thats why kicker and cycling and other mechanics arent in every set. Also notice how Jace is monocolour even after all the speculation about him possibly being black blue.
i beleave if Garruk is in this set he would be mono coloured. Maybe mono green with darker powers, still green abilities but more evil. He could come back in the set after worldwake when wizards might feel a little multicolours ok and make him green black then though
