A 40 dollar mythic rare would constitute a must have 4 of that goes in many decks.
Stats About Mythics
-Mythics are on average 40% rarer than pre-mythic rares
(old blocks about 200 rares, Mythic blocks 35+ mythics)
-They are printing more new cards a year not less
(about 665 now vs. 630 in most pre-mythic block)
-To drop the value of a rare by $1 a mythic must go up $2
-In a 3 year time span deck prices doubled. I am petitioning for the removal of mythic rarity. Sig this to join the cause.
I would love it if this guy had a tolsimir wolfblood like ability for his dreg reaver but I doubt it'll happen. What seems more likely is for him to be the 7/7 in the orb, also regenerate seems like a lock, probably unearth for UBR.
My guesses would be he has first strike, trample and haste

Every rarity gets good cards. That means that some mythic rares will be tournament quality as will some commons, some uncommons and some rares. My promise wasn't that mythic rares wouldn't get good cards but that we wouldn't limit the good cards to only being mythic rare.
Bear this in mind the next time a powerful mythic rare is spoiled

well considering Thrax's name comes up 3 times... unless he has 2 or 3 different cards... i dont know about that... he should have multiple abilitys that refrence himself.
I don't think it's very likely at all that he'll have a Tolsimir Wolfblood ability. In another thread here (http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=156824) I argue for what all the instances of "token" will probably be. Furthermore, Grixis already has two instances of "legendary" out of six, and the rest are probably reserved for the other shards.
I think that it's about equal chances of him being a Warrior or a Knight (both words are used to describe him in the PGtA), although Knight might be more flavorful because of his mount.

However, I'm not convinced he'll have unearth. Unless wizards have dropped the reminder text on Unearth, there are only 3 instances of it in Reborn. Unless Thrax does have some kind of citp ability, then I can't see him bouncing back from the grave.
I'm not sure why you feel his having Unearth hinges on him also having a CITP ability.
His name, reminder text and possibly flavor text on him or a different card.
Flavor text dosent come up in the orb, his name is one... duh. but that leaves 2, i doubt they would make more than one card for him because hes not that important...
I mean hell the plainswalkers rarely get two cards.
The only persons names being used 2 or greater times so far seems to be Bolas (Nicol Bolas, Plainswalker and Slave of Bolas) and Malfagor (Malfagor and Breath of Malfagor)
the odds are very agnest it, it is probley one card.
Am I the only one who thinks about huge Starke of Rath variant?
Thraximundar3BBR
Legendary Creature - Zombie Warrior (M)
At the beginning of your upkeep, flip a coin for each creature in play. If you win the flip, that creature's controller sacrifices it. The player who sacrificed more creatures than other players this way gains control of Thraximundar. If no creatures are sacrificed this way, sacrifice Thraximundar.
6/3

I hope I didn't mess up with the wording =.=
This is inelegant, and does not seem to be based on any solid evidence. If you're going to speculate something extremely complicated, at least tell us why you think it would be how you propose. Lately Wizards has tried not to print cards with rules text as long as Ice Cauldron.

Okay. My general idea is based on the "having no side in battle" part, so he sticks around the player who gets more corpses. And if there are no corpses at all, it's just not fun, and he leaves. And there are actually some instances of "Win" and "Coin" in the Orb, so I thought it might be connected.
Oh, and the effect seems pretty BR to me, as does Thrax himself.
He's a Legend. That generally means a cohesive card with one clear direction of play. If he doesn't have a citp ability then we're only using him for one last attack when we Unearth him, which would seem to be a needless pumb to the mana cost when he's going to be an already expensive card. At the very least they'd have to give him a tap-ability that we might want to use one-last-time, otherwise, Unearth just doesn't belong there. It's a pointless addition to the card.
Of the Unearth creatures we already have, each fills a niche in the Unearth market:
Generics Dregscape Zombie - generic vanilla unearther Fire-Field Ogre - generic first-strike unearther Kathari Screecher - generic flying unearther Sedraxis Spectre - generic spectre unearther Undeath Leotau - generic pump unearther Viscera Dragger - generic cycling unearther Note: We're still missing Doublestrike/fear/deathtouch and various other abilities that could have a place on this list.
So, we could be looking for a red/black double-striking mega-unearther, but that just doesn't seem legendary to me. If Trax has unearth, I'd both hope and expect wizards to do more with him.
Those are valid points, though I'd argue that Extractor Demon is something of an anomaly in that his mill ability doesn't really benefit from Unearth, it's simply an added bonus that makes the demon a somewhat more attractive card (and a beast in limited).
Also, on what "seems" legendary: the first set had legends that were all just showcases for the shard themes and the second set had three highly flavorful legends (Proggy, Gwafa, and Malfegor), one atomic baby, and the utilitarian Rakka Mar. Certainly the first three fit the idea of "one clear direction of play", but the baby is both a fearsome combat machine and rattlesnake, and Rakka's consistent production of hasty tokens can fuel a number of ideas and playing styles.
So I don't really see what's wrong with making an ultra-violent unearthable beatstick be legendary, especially considering the flavor is that of an ultra-violent zombie, a creature-type that's notoriously hard to kill.

good point. Regenerate would be 1 instance, the card itself the second and maybe a sengir vampire like ability or a pyroclasm like effect on everything else when attacking plus a vanilla keyword or two

Unearth Crits with CITP Abilities:
Corpse Connoisseur
Kederekt Leviathan
Rotting Rats
Scourge Devil
Total Unearth Crits: 18
And if only one card can actually have Unearth, I'd hope that one card would be the applicable legend.
