Prime Speaker Zegana enters the

When Prime Speaker Zegana enters
the battlefield, draw cards equal to
its power.

Will so many ways to enlarge a creatures power and toughness, this is a no brainer how to make Zegana a massive monster. For one, play w/ 4 copies of Revenge of the Hunted, you now have a nasty, at least 7/7 w/ 7 new cards in hand from just 1 G. Prey's Vengeance & [CARD]Petrified Plating
[/CARD] also work we// w/ her, w/ coming into play w/ paying their cost that turn.
At a cmc of 6, this'll probably not see standard tier 1 deck play, but she's still a great/fun card. EDH loves this, and so does the kitchen table deck.
But then of course, Primeval Titan had a cmc of 6, & it had heavy tier 1 deck play.
What do all of you think of her? What combos can take advantage of her the best?
All the guild leaders so far have been doing something fancy on the battlefield. This leader is kinda lack luster since she burts coming in then is just a vanilla. Who wants a vanilla guild leader that costs that much.

Drawing cards when it comes into play is vanilla? durrhurr, Snapcaster Mage is vanilla after you flashback a card it's vanilla IT SUX WTF!
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.

I hear drawing a ton of cards is good. Especially when it comes attached to a beatstick.
Obviously requires something in play to be relevant, but luckily Thragtusk is a card.

I do, first she's going to be +1/+1 bigger than your biggest creature, so if i t has evolve, it also gets bigger, also you draw cards. Not sure if you've played magic but drawing cards is the nut.
Is it wrong to think this card is superfluous in the same format as Garruk, Primal Hunter? Don't get me wrong, she has amazing potential but sucks on her own.
Think of Zegana as Disciple of Bolas with a massive body instead of lifegain... and you don't need to sac the creature. Playable? Probably. Archtype-defining? Nah.
Indeed it does. Zegana is pretty powerful, being able to get big AND draw a bunch of cards is not something to brush off. You could quickly refill your hand with her.

This, exactly. She's a horrible topdeck if you don't have any critters on the board. Not inherently a bad card, but also very weak on it's own. I'd give it a 7/10.
Hmmm, that Zegana. Not only do I get a goodstuff commander I get a good stuff who draws handfulls of cards every time she ETBs. I love momir-vig and his toolbox, and Edric was so ridiculous he got himself banned, but this is definitely my favorite commander in these colors. You spoil me Wizards.
She has potential, the problem I have with this card is she needs another creature to be good. But as long as restoration Angel is in standard this card is probably going to see play.

I agree entirely. Zegana is inherently going to be at her strongest when you're winning and utterly useless when you're losing. Lucky for her, Thrag and other extremely resilient creatures reside in standard. She simply has to be built around a bit.
I love the upside but you can't just toss several in a deck and not expect her to be accompanied by a bit more variance then you would usually like.

I guess OP wants it to be 'keyworded' like "dies" was. What word would you replace ETB with though?
When Aegis Angel is born?
When Huntmaster of the Fells arrives?
When Kitchen Sphinx lands?
When Faerie Imposter busts in?
When Dread Cacodemon pops in?
When Malfegor shows up?
Plus I love how at 6th turn mostly likely your out of cards in your hand and she comes in and restocks them. I do agree however she is horrible by herself and I'm glad she is legendary, give me a reason to only run two of her at most in my deck.

Thragtusk is really the thing that makes this card viable. Any deck willing to play this card is automatically going to be packing 4 of the swagtusk.
A very bad topdeck into an empty board. But having essentially any decent creature in play turns this into a potent weapon. The reason Thragtusk works so well is because even if they attempt to remove it in response you're still getting a 4/4 and drawing 4 cards, which is still a very good deal for the mana investment.
I imagine she'd like to be accompanied by the types of cards you'd find in G/B Aggro. Stuff like Geist, Troll, Avenger and Ooze stick so you can almost guarantee that she'll go off. Obviously, Thrag is a no brainer.

Turn 1: mana dork
Turn 2: farseek
Turn 3: Thragtusk
Turn 4: Draw 5, seems good.
