Considering how we have basically no information on Domri other than a picture in which Domri's age, sex, and ethnicity are all pretty ambiguous, I'm curious about the widespread assumption that Domri is a boy. For example, pretty much everyone refers to Domri as "he". Until we get more information it's my personal head-canon that she's a girl - we need more female planeswalkers, damnit!

I assumed from the get-go it was female as well. Mohawk =/= male, after all, and from the poor quality picture, the figure definitely looked feminine. I couldn't imagine a scrawny male Gruul planeswalker; that would definitely be strange.
Maybe there's something official calling Domri a he, but I haven't seen it.

I highly doubt Wizards would show a young prepubescent female bare-chested. Therefore I assume Domri is male. Just because he is scrawny doesn't mean he isn't male.
It's either a butch lesbian with butch lesbian hair or some pre-pubescent fae peter-pan style boy. I like the transgender idea being floated and will go with that until further notice.
He's definitely not wearing a shirt. He definitely doesn't have breasts. The shape of the head is also fairly masculine.
he/she's wearing something over the breast area. Some sort of armor, which naturally would disguise the presence of female secondary sex organs. A scrawny Gruul male would be weird(backstory dependant), but a scrappy Gruul female would not be. I'm down with the punk rocker idea, and maybe I'll tape a pic of Wendy O. over it if i get one. I think Domri may be female, but it's really hard to tell. I probably will do the Wendy O. thing regardless.
EDIT:are there any Gruul females portrayed on other cards? can we see what their style of dress/appearance would be? we could compare if there are any examples.
EDIT: Wild Cantor is the best example maybe. Tatoos, fairly buff. hair is long though. The only other example seems to be the new Burning Tree Emissary. But she looks nothing like Domri or The cantor. So I have no idea.
If it was a male, I could see the flavor behind a scrawny feminine male who has immense magic power and commands an army of green and red beasts. Very anime-style.

Until there's a better picture, I'm going with male. And anyway, a child who can make his enemies kick each other's butt while he sits there and laughs sounds very Gruul to me. More spellslinger-Gruul that punch-your-teeth-in-Gruul, but Gruul nontheless.
I wonder if that's the most times the word Gruul has been used in one sentence?

Moving to magic general.
I would not trust Wizards to get that concept right. Ever. The thought of them trying honestly makes me cringe.
Also Domri looks like a dude to me. I don't think Magic would have a female character with that kind of V shaped torso and narrow hips.
Eh. Aside from showing off her abs, Radha is an example of a Gruul-coloured character who isn't all that traditionally attractive.
She's got a sort of undead-ish thing going on, but no arguing that she has an attractive figure.
