Did not expect all of the butthurt to come out because of this card. Wow...
Money is on the line, the company is trying to appeal to as big of an audience as possible. Keep in mind this is just a trading card game. Look at all the shattered egos and punks in denial. Welcome to MTGS.
No, not yet. I wouldn't be surprised if it's no good however. I'm speaking Guild Leaders, Charms, Champions, and just cards. Sure they're meant to do different things but their power levels could be equal. Could.
You do realize how insanely hard that would be, right?
To predict the exact standard environment (one year in advance), create 10 unique cards (which are mechanically and flavorfully different), make them all relevant to 10 different play styles (1 for each guild play style), and then ferry them through Design and Development to retain an exactly (or mostly exact) power level? All equal in power level relevant to each other and all those other factors?
That, and you know what they say. If Wizards started shipping $100 bills in boosters tomorrow, people would scream and cry and whine that they were folded the wrong way.
this doesnt feel mythic. Hell it barely feels rare. I would love some reasoning behind the rarity. Overall I think this is good, its an anti wrath for a guild that was based around putting out 3 or more creatures at a time in combat. IDK if the tempo loss is worth it at a 2 spot, but I think its worth consideration in a # of r/w aggro decks.
"i made lods of emone guessing metagames, you're opinion is stupid"
This is the gist of what you just said.
He asked me if I am ever right about anything. As it turns out, I am quite good at "guessing metagames", as you call it and know how to evaluate cards.
I absolutely love this card. In EDH I'll use it Main Phase 1, Wrath to clear the opponents side, then win Combat phase. Not to mention all of the ETB sillyness that will go on when he creatures come back.

Anything is possible. What matters is what is probable. Keep in mind probability is a variable we can all alter.

Is the boros player going to keep two mana open on turn three and four just so he does not lose guys to a wrath? Since when can a boros deck afford not to tap out every turn?
I do not understand the people criticising this card, in the right deck it's very potent, it pumps and then when needed protects your army (thankfully exiling itself to stop insane abuse) even so it enables many powerful plays, and is a standard maindeckable answer to sweepers, serious hate vs control.

I'm a control player, because I like to reserve the right to say no.
I bought 30 Boros Reckoners when BR was absurdly cheap, 50 Restoration Angels, and 50 Bonfire of the Damned.
So, yeah.
I bought 1000 Liliana of the Veils, 5834 Thragtusks, and literally an infinite amount of everything else that was cheap then became expensive. My power level is over 9000!
I'm afraid I don't understand the first sentence of that paragraph.
Sorry, I probably shouldn't have used the abbreviations. Channel Fireball does a video after each set is spoiled where Luis Scott-Vargas and one other person (recently it has been Conley Woods) go over each mythic in the set and say if they think it is a "hit" (feels mythic to them) or a "myth" (play on miss, it doesn't feel mythic to them). I think they will say this card is not a hit when they do that video for dragon's maze.
Yes, but do you think this is bad?
I do think it's bad. I think power level alone isn't enough to be mythic. I mean, gravecrawler and diregraf ghoul are both powerful cards, but they are powerful because of their efficiency, and so wouldn't feel mythic to me. Wild Nacatl is often a 3/3 for 1cmc, which is again super powerful, but would never feel right as a mythic IMO.
I guess for me it's a difference between efficiency as power and sort of flashy, raw power. Angel of serenity is big, flashy, and powerful, and mythic feeling. This card, and especially the selesnya mythic (voice of resurgence) feel more like efficient and powerful cards, rather than splashy powerful cards, if that makes any sense.
Is the boros player going to keep two mana open on turn three and four just so he does not lose guys to a wrath? Since when can a boros deck afford not to tap out every turn?
Just depends really. Against certain decks and if he's going first...sure. Naya can have critical mass by turn 2(7 per turn). Traditional Boros can have battalion by turn 3 easy. This card can give you a much better game 2 when they are going first.

I havent paid for a deck for 2 years thanks to an investment, didnt know that made me a metagame expert. Cards get underestimated by board spikes all the time, doesnt make you an expert, you just have common sense. Which I applaud, it's in short supply here.

This is wayyyy over powered.
Seriously what the hell wizards?
It's like the ONLY want aggro to be tier one.
Dimir get a broom shoved up thier butt, and boros gets a freaking birthday cake!
The distribution of power is so messed up in this set.

If MTG is a part of your life, the formats are like relationships:
Standard/Block = The on-again, off-again holiday fling
Modern/Vintage/Legacy = Stable, homely. A ***** after absence/misreading
Limited/Sealed = Heart breaking free spirit
Commander/Cube = Agreeable, needy and expensive
Pauper/Peasant = Sweet, kind, practical, but shy and boring
I primarily had limited formats in mind when I asked you if you thought it was bad. I don't really play any limited, but I guess you want as few Pack Rats as possible.. so that may be an argument for packing cards like this at mythic rare - but I don't really know if this card is powerful in limited.
I really hate Geist of Sankt Traft, but I'd also hate it at rare. Probably even more.
Oh, as someone who plays a ton of limited, cards like pack rat are pretty bad (ironically, something like geist is much easier to deal with, as you aren't going to always have spectral flight or runechanter's pike or whatever to put on it). I do think limited bombs should be pushed to rare at least. I don't think this card is particularly powerful in limited, but in general I do agree that it should be a consideration.
You attack with her once, her ability triggers, you now have a second combat phase coming. You then use this card, and when aurelia comes back into play she's a "new object," so when "new" aurelia attacks, she's attacking for the first time again. You can do this with any flicker effect (cloudshift for example), and in fact you can get as many combats as you have mana for with deadeye navigator
attack with Aurelia, the Warleader trigger her ability at the End of Combat Step activate the Legion's Initiative ability Exile your's dudes
Next combat step:Aurelia, the Warleader and yours dudes etb
attack trigger her ability again
