pay 2 life: Exile the top 4 cards of your library, face down. choose one at random, reveal that card, and put it into your hand. put all other cards exiled by ~ into your graveyard
I'd prefer something that is in color pie and not terrible.
That being said, I'd like something that either reanimates, draws, or tutors.
Lich's Tomb
1B
Enchant Land
Enchanted Land produces B in addition to other mana it produces
At the beginning of your upkeep, If enchanted land is not a swamp, enchanted land's controller discards a card.
B: Enchant target land
Based on the plethora of enchant lands that are in black.
I'd prefer something that is in color pie and not terrible.
That being said, I'd like something that either reanimates, draws, or tutors.
That's not terrible at all. lots of card advantage and if anything, could be played reanimator because the cards you dont get go into the yard. In what world is would that card be bad haha
A reanimator card would be cool. How about something like Animate Dead, but can only target a 3 cmc or less, but when is put into the GY from play you return it to your hand.
Form of the Demon1BBBB
Enchantment

Sigh...I really wish it was blue or red that would have won. Black is just going to get some garbage card drawing engine again. I'm voting global enchantment though. Hopefully we'll get something that'll make discard a thing again like:
I'll make megrim look good 1BB

1) Trading life for advantage (card or creature)
2) Destroying things
It's not just trading life. Black likes to trade away any commodity it has as long as it can gain something more valuable in the process. I think Liliana of the Veil is a perfect, recent example of this. Her +1 ability, while it doesn't necessarily generate card advantage, but it does generate value advantage. If you were to think about it as a separate enchantment it would read "Discard a card: each opponent discards a card." Black uses any and all advantage it can get, life is just usually the most readily available.
That, and you know what they say. If Wizards started shipping $100 bills in boosters tomorrow, people would scream and cry and whine that they were folded the wrong way.

Yes! that's why I love black control over blue control, black doesn't care about the meanings, just the results, and the way black cards are designed to control the board are awesome, I love it
You can't really compare blue control to black control. They are 2 different monsters. Black would like to break the opponent where as blue would like to control the opponent.
Black: "Oh, you would like to play a Thragtusk? Sure, I'll kill it, then reanimate it and attack you back with it. Good play."
Opponent: "But..."
Black: "Oh, and you also have to [insert black effect here] as well... Good play."
Blue: "Oh, you would like to play a Thragtusk? No."
Opponent: "But..."
Blue: "No."
Whereas my choice for enchantment:
Red: "Oh, you wanna play a Thragtusk? Cool. Skullcrack."
Opponent: "Ok...ow?"
Red: "Now I'll steal it, give it haste, and play Thundermaw Hellkite."
That, and you know what they say. If Wizards started shipping $100 bills in boosters tomorrow, people would scream and cry and whine that they were folded the wrong way.

I hope some of the final card designs to vote on are different from the pay x life to get card advantage enchantments everyone is suggesting. This is our chance to push the envelop, why do something as boring and predictable as that?

Uhhh... Because those cards are always really good? And people want the good ol' busted black enchantments ala necropotenceyawgmoth's bargain and heck, maybe even something like bitterblossom. That's like saying "man, I wish they would print some non-burn red instants" or "we need to stop making so many counter spells in blue"
This vote might finally open WotC's eyes to how reviled the aura card type is. The only way I could support aura is if it had 2 for 1 prevention in the rules text - like say..
"When this card enters the graveyard, if it was never attached, destroy target creature."

Do something different or at least something so old it hasn't come up in years.

:X
Or maybe Bob on an enchantment.
Dark Tutelage already exists.
Thank you for pointing that out to me. Why dont I remember that card, and I played M11.
For reanimation there's already Debtors' Knell, Recurring Nightmare, and Diabolic Servitude.
Attrition, Phyrexian Reclamation, and The Abyss are pretty cool also.
TAKE THE HINT WOTC!!!
People like value enchantments that aren't overpowered, please do it right.
They could do something Form of the Dragon-esque for Demons.

We have some pretty awesome black enchantment designs in magic, so we can make something really cool
Black enchantment has two things I like:
1) Trading life for advantage (card or creature)
2) Destroying things
I prefer 1) but if we make something similar that would be awesome
