I can possibly see Soul Ransom being SB tech against decks that likes to barf their hands onto the table. It's okay, but I do not think it'll make a splash in constructed.
I love the Primordial and I don't play EDH. I shall buy some.
The Keyrune is okay. Big butt but I'd rather have a 3/1 with first strike.
Soul's ransom seems dangerous. if I have 2 cards in hand I can take back my creature whenever I want. Which means I can take it back as soon as my opponent declares attackers. very dangerous. Dimir better up the discard and unblockability for this to see serious play. Love the flavor of the card though. Great name.

I thought the mind control was the stone cold nuts, till I read it again and realized you sacirifice the enchantment. Now it seems to be pretty bad, would rather play Evil Twin most of the time.

Ransom doesn't just give the opponent a choice; it gives the opponent a new choice every time they gain priority. The ransomed creature can never swing for lethal, can rarely-if-ever attack alongside a creature it beats in combat, and is the worst cipher target possible. Enjoy your terrible combats, Dimir.
To be fair, they have to actually be able to pay, but yeah, yet another card that will sometimes just be useless off the top.
In terms of punisher cards, Soul Ransom is about a billion times better than Vexing Devil.
Except that Vexing Devil actually is playable in modern burn, and Soul Ransom might see some fringe play in standard, so no. Kinda made me rage a bit when I realized that you sac the enchantment not the creature. I was all excited, then the gates of disappointment came crashing down.
Keyrune is weak, but neither surprising nor a big deal, chromatic lantern is fine if you don't need only R/B, U/B, or W/U...
Sad to see about gruul charm, here's to hoping against hope that orzhov gets something as good as boros charm.
Undercity Informer- none for me thanks, trying to quit, but likely to please the same crowd that likes mind funeral.
The primordial is sure to be winning games in EDH land (can I find room in Jarad?), but I still like the blue one better even if only because I can cascade into it ;-p Really looking forward to the green one.
The effect could prove so discombobulating to combo players, in particularly, they may fizzle and run away screaming. "From that day the Curse of the Plateau was upon me, and I found every hand I ever pull from a combo deck is a mulligan."

<---This x1000.
Ignoring the fact that the "ransom" ability is all downside no matter how you slice it, the fact that it can be done at instant speed means that your opponent can set you up to completely wreck your combat math, at-will. You think you've got game-ending damage on the table? Well actually you don't have enough to even get past my blockers and you lose a creature or two you weren't expecting to lose, in addition to the "ransom" creature.
Don't let the punisher cards work their voodoo on you. This is no different from any of the other awful punisher cards out there.

Soul Ransom is better than a lot of people seem to think.
I really like the Keyrune, and the Primordial is going into all my EDH, just like all his brothers, probably.
The Informer is pretty awesome for Limited. And one mana sacrifice engines that do relevant things are always nice.
The Gruul charm is.... interesting. The whole "creatures without flying can't block" made an immediate mental image of your army just jumping over theirs and killing someone.

No offense but i would always assume that they would try to wreck my combat math. Thus i would be playing the game like chess and plan ahead for such a moment.

Your opponent can take back their creature at instant speed if they have two cards in hand. Okay, so don't put yourself into a position where that would blow you out. Play smarter than that; don't run the stolen creature into a situation where it switching sides is something you can't afford. People are talking like the person playing Soul Ransom can't even remember what their own card does and completely forget to account for it in their planning.
And the cost to your opponent for getting their creature back is hardly trivial. Not only are they spending two cards, they're giving you two cards. If they're paying that hefty sum, they better be either in a desperate situation where they *need* that creature more than they need card advantage, or they're beating you so badly that no amount of card advantage is going to dig you out.
So for a cheaper but more mana intensive mana cost than Persuasion, I get the benefit of... Giving my opponent a choice on whether they want their creature controlled or not.

I hate when Wizards prints "hard counter" cards like this (i.e. medic's 2nd ability). They are so clumsy and simply lazy development.
