It's somewhere around this power level, since they don't need to sacrifice anything to simply attack through it, while the actual card asks for one more sacrifice.
Possibly, but the enchantment is harder to remove.
The context? In context we'd have a few swell "OR" clauses.
But Id say a better way to imagine it would be the burden of example- look at all the popular 4+ cmc doodles in standard. How many don't have hexproof, CA, haste or whatever other mechanics that let them be relevant in the face of a removal?
The context I was pointing out was the original point of being a 4CMC creature and not a 4CMC+ creature. There is some difference there. Now that being said, most if not all 5CMC+ commonly played creature have some type of advantage, but they they're becoming a rare breed in general.
Seems OK to side in against control decks maybe? It certainly fights at a very good rate. Worth looking into, in the same way that Vexing devil was better than a lot of people said (it does see heavy play in legacy) and worse than a lot of people said (fringe playable in type 2).
This could work in that heartless summoning deck that people were hypothesising - BB for a 5/5 flier than requires sacrifices is a big game.

I kinda feel he's outta place in this set, let alone this plane.
I remember hearing that the Rakdos tried to make new demons but they were just half demons with some kind of drawback that didn't please them.
But oh well.
Doesn't this guy fit that perfectly flavor wise? Rakdos is all about going for the throat no matter what cost. Not being able to attack constantly would seem like a drawback that would miff them.

You say 5CMC+ creatures. But what are the *4* CC toons that see play without advantage or covering their own butt or sneaking some effect through? This standard has gotten downright hostile to vanilla beats even at 3 CMC, even possibly at 2.
Because at the end of the day, life totals have no intrinsic impact until it reaches zero. If you lay a finisher, it sticks one turn, then halves the enemys life, then eats a doom blade- its had no postive impact on board position or CA. It just traded one for one like a lowly B discard spell.
At best, it's a 6/6 for 4, which I suppose is good, but still worse than Abyssal Persecutor. While Abyssal Persecutor was good, this card is worse than it. This thing gets chumped, one way or another, all day long, unlike Persecutor. There is also not a very good shell for it.
I can see this being used with golgari. With Jarad, even if they're using tokens, you got them on a clock. Die to getting hit with him in the face, or face massive damage from Jarad's second ability.
I don't get it--it seems neat, but it doesn't have trample, so they can just chump block it and achieve the same results as saccing a creature to it without giving it a counter.
How many chump flying blockers will you have at any given time? Hopefully enough for u to draw an answer I guess....
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.

Really? Maybe Tragic Slip and Vapor Snag have a higher then average play rate in the metas I play and watch.

I think,
The card is actually most close to,
2BB
Whenever ~ is blocked put a +1/+1 counter on it at the end of combat.

Just that small bit about being blocked by a tapped llanowar elves or a gravecrawler, and giving all your opponents creatures provoke. :S
Woebringer Demon was in the original Ravnica.

Yea I thought it was a fake or something when i first saw it. Super strong mono creature with no guild relation, we havnt seen anything like that yet.

Don't think of it that way. His drawback is that he can be blocked by any creature, no matter what. He is a very non-evasive creature.
On the other hand, in limited, he helps clear the way for himself and is quite strong.

Fact or Fiction is technically a punisher card.
you can only declare 1 attack per combat. once youve done that and creature gets tapped, untapping it wont make him attack again
