They're buying it for $3. I'm guessing they'll sell it for $5-$7
That is a rather high price for a common card with a mana cost of 3, but it is such a powerful card that I am certain that it shall be worth that price.

This makes no sense, how can the MANA COST of a COMMON possibly be used to say "hey, its not worth that much" Its a huge card in edh, and fyi a normal foil goes for $20.00
To point out how goofy that sounded, here:

I wish my 4/4s with haste and first strike that acted as Goblin Warchiefs were better and didn't die to instants and overshadowed all other 4 drops in the format. And that they had evasion too, and some way to dodge wrath effects.
Most shop in my country have an agreement that every shop will sell it at 320$.
Or You will get discount if you buy a lot of product in the same day but no less than 250$.
Or you will have a chance to get 1 card , 1 oversize card , 99 - dice , +/- counter from lucky draw from tournament with more than 100 ppl.

"Who is more foolish, the child afraid of the dark, or the man afraid of the light?"
totheendofsin asked: If you had the ability to see into the future, would you have considered giving Commander's Arsenal a bigger print run? (I assume of course you are in charge of printing all the products)
Yes, if we knew then what we know now, Commander’s Arsenal would have a bigger print run.
Predicting things months ahead of time with a product unlike anything you’ve made before at a price point you’ve never done before is hard.
The cards look pretty beautiful, not in the horrid FTV foiling. I'm glad I can get one.
Mind's Eye has a beautiful new art. I really hope they keep doing these great limited products for collectors.
About FTV foiling, I have to disagree here, I think the glossy printing and ultra-shine foil is amazing. this is exactly what makes FTV cards different from regular foils\printings, and I'm quite sad Comm. Arsenal cards didn't get the same treatment, but nonetheless - a great product overall.
Saying it was/is a major fail is way to early, and frankly, probably just wrong. It may be considered a fail by some people, but for the people who this was created for and marketed to it's probably quite a win. Just because this was not created for you does not make it a fail.
This product was made for EDH players, right?
More specifically, EDH players that want to bling out their decks.
I am an EDH player. I am an EDH player that loves giving my deck that blingy blingy shine.
Therefore the intent of this set was to appeal to people like me.
This product has disappointed me more than anything else since I started playing Magic.
There's no way I believe that MaRo was sincere with that Tumblr post. The Commander product last year was a huge success, and their print run forfor it was far larger than for this Arsenal product, and with less valuable cards in each of the Commander decks.
They know Commander is big. They know it sold well, and they ran a short print run of this product intentionally for some reason. If I were going to guess, and this is pure speculation, they made this print small so that they can justify increasing the price on the next one.
They only mistake they might have made was in the price point they set, but I doubt that as well. First time foil Library was enough of a cash card even without Retainers to make $75 an unrealistically low MSRP for a limited run product.
I'm afraid of what this is going to mean for the Modern Masters boxes next year, since that's going to be a very small print run as well, or so they say.
The level of facepalmness in this thread approaches infinity.
The set is some kind of luxury thingy for those with surplus monies to spend. Not a conspiracy from Wizards or EEEEEEEVIL Hasbro to prepare the market for 10$ booster or 200$ MSRP FtV/Commander sets next year.
If you hate the Arsenal, next year will have the kind of Commander product you might want. This thing was hastily crapped out and experimental. Why are people chosing to have their jimmies rustled instead of comprehending that? I don't understand.
Most important, all the cards in it can be aquired in other ways, its not important at all, just nice to have, if you come across.
If you just want some of the cards for EDH, you can easily trade for them after bunch of time, like every premium foil stuff.
If you want stuff for little to no money just right away, yea you are screwd, but that was never different.
Why are you assuming that WotC/Hasbro doesn't understand the demand for Commander? They could certainly have printed more, but they didn't, and they chose to do it this way. That's not a conspiracy, and I'm doubting that it was a mistake.
What it is, most likely, is a way to generate enthusiasm for a future product release, namely next year's Commander product release that you mention.
I also don't buy that this was hasty or "crapped out". It's a pretty well packaged product with high-demand cards, interesting extras, and good artwork/foiling process. Those things all take time to set up, and they still chose to make the print run ridiculously small. A more realistic print run would have been on the order of one 12-pack case per regular store, and perhaps two for busier locations.
The reasoning behind it is likely to be pure capitalism. That's not a conspiracy, and it's not 'evil', it's just business.
That doesn't mean I have to like it, nor does anyone else. I like cards. I like having access to cards at fair prices with a minimum amount of hassle. This product fails to deliver either of those things to me because it is being sold above MSRP, and is not available to me at any price at my LGS, trust me, I checked. All I'm left with is my own thoughts on why the situation is the way it is, and I choose to believe that MaRo isn't a fool, and doesn't just 'throw things together'.
Forgive me for being dissatisfied with a product that drew my interest and then let me down with it's failure to deliver. It's not the first time this has happened, from Wizards or any other company. I'm sure it won't be the last either.
Most important, all the cards in it can be aquired in other ways, its not important at all, just nice to have, if you come across.

If you want stuff for little to no money just right away, yea you are screwd, but that was never different.
I can't trade for them, because my LGS closed and the local play groups dissolved. Driving to the nearest LGS is a PITA, and I work 2nd shift, which blocks me out of all FNM trading.
Buying the cards individually, over time, as they become available, is an inordinate hassle and expensive to boot.
I was interested buying this product for the same reason I buy PDS, Event Decks, Commander decks, Planechase decks and other packaged products: Convenient, organized, well-package products with known contents that I can integrate into my decks.
I'm allowed to consider this to be a ball that was dropped, right? Or do I have to declare that everything that ships out of the WotC warehouses is a slam dunk/home run/ touchdown? They dun goofed, in my opinion, and it is just that, my opinion.
blech. My LGS is trying its best to secure a bunch. There were 20 preorders, so they said they'll either go all out to get all 20, or none at all. With Starcity buying it up at $160, I'd wager that we won't be getting it at MSRP afterall, and I'm not willing to shell out megabux for something I just want to get for a few choice cards. Luckily we have an option to divert the preorder payments for something else much more palatable, like the Holiday Box
IMO, despite my initial excitement for this, Commander's Arsenal was a major fail on Wizard's side. They might as well have stuck to PDS
They should give you your money back if they can't deliver the product you preordered at the price you paid. Not make you buy other crap you didn't sign up for.

3rd in line for pre-orders. LGS is getting 2 or 4. >_> Be fine if I get it either way. New art Mind's Eye, Dup, and Decree are awesome sauce! and at $75 too!
Channelfireball has their prices up, albeit with all cards showing 0 quantity. Prices could likely change so take it with a grain of salt, but I believe they are the first major retailer to post singles prices, so maybe this gives us an idea of the market.
All oversized cards are a buck except Sliver Queen at $8.
While I think almost all of it is too high (just my opinion), some of the prices seem a little out of whack. Wanderer the same price as Kaalia? Chaos Warp more than Mind's Eye and Rhystic?
More specifically, EDH players that want to bling out their decks.

Blingy blingy shine is not the same as bling. Your syllogistic scheme leads to the almost natural conclusion that this set was meant for you. In reality it was really meant, only to appeal to you, yet remain unaccessible.
