Crucible of Worlds would be a cool reprint, but it's way too valuable for this sort of product. Plus, it'd likely unbalance the heck out of the decks.
Maybe in Commander's Arsenal?
A card that is less than 10 euros is still too valuable? But I agree that it would either unbalance the decks or just do nothing. Also, I don't think it fits the theme..
I like the idea of The Swarm's mechanic being related to ramping off of land in the 'yard. That fits flavor-wise quite well. Maybe it could be something that allows land in the yard to pay for the cost of a spell, then those lands are exiled?
That's pretty much what I had in mind when people suggested using lands in the graveyard.
Something like Squandered Resources, but exiled from GY instead of sac'ced.

a 2/2 if you have no guys in the graveyard. but when he come's out he becomes a monster.
i think he will be good in standard. since he gets bigger for each creature in your graveyard. if dredge comes back int rtr then play him in some sort of dredge deck.

It won't. All the guilds get new mechanics, and none of the old ones are being reprinted.
He'll be good in B/G mid-range aggro control--Rock--with creatures at every mana curve beginning from 1 (mana dork) up to 5 (Thragtusk). Pressure early on while sculpting your hand, let them waste removal, or if they stay, Jarad will drop in as a 2/2 with stuff to fling with. They deal with him, you'll have another copy waiting in the wings or if you have too much land in hand, bring him back next turn after floating mana.
He'll definitely need discard support to pull off the plan, else he'll just keep on dying early and you'll waste lands recycling him.

Glad i'm not the only one who sees him as a fling on a stick.
I am kind of wondering if the Golgari mechanic is based on returning lands from your graveyard. there is a lot of preview cards I feel like they had to put them in to make it so that Jarad would work in the deck, they wouldn't put in life from the loam which is currently one of the few ways to repeatedly return lands.
card idea GB Golgari growth
Return two basic lands from your graveyard put one in your hand and the other onto the battlefield tapped
Goes very well in BG midrange. Wolfir Silverheart, Thragtusk and Vorapede are great standalone finishers that are also beastly in conjunction with Jarad. Strangleroot Geist and Rancor is the early game plan that also synergizes well with Jarad on the board.
I can't believe anyone is excited about this card. It is absolutely unplayable. I wouldn't even play her in LIMITED. Easily the worst walker printed since the green elf one. Absolutely terrible.
Jarad in my opinion seems decent, his first two abilities are nice, with the land saccing one a handy fall-back in terms of dire need. Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind is far superior though, as someone who wasn't around during Rav1.0 my jaw dropped when I first came across him, his abilities are fantastic, the very essence of the Izzet color combination, hope he makes a big appearance in standard in his RtR new form!
I wouldnt say "superior". Ive fought Niv many times over the years (he's my brohers fav card -.-) and Niv only really shines when the deck around him reflects his intelligence. Not hard when playing R/U. But Jarad brings something more to the table. Something faster. Something harder to be rid of. But I wouldnt worry about it. The new Niv will surely be custom tailored to fight the new threats. Wouldnt be shocked of if he becomes the first dragon (to my knowledge) to have hexproof or shroud.

There is buried treasure everywhere...in a graveyard.
I hate to double post but alot of people seemed to be put off by Jarad's recursion ability, due to land sac. Well, they did say they would have a few previews in the decks of RTR. It's a strong possibility one of those previews may be the RTR card that "fixes" his drawback.
Also,I do wonder what Izzet previews we will get. Dont know if it's gunna be something super spectacular, but maybe we will be lucky enough to see the new Izzet mechanic.

If we get just a taste of both mechanics I will be stoked!
I'm guessing we will. It would make sense, wouldn't it? I mean we will probably get like 2 commons and maybe an uncommon per deck, and I guarantee they'll have to showcase the mechanic in there. Sure, it won't be the strongest card of the mechanic, but it will be something!

I think you are right about land fetches being a good vibe for this guy, but I would think Fetching it from the graveyard would be slightly weaker in the majority of cases than the already amble land fetch creatures in green already which mill a land out of the way.
Only way I can see Izzet winning without milling to death before killing the other player is if they put in Mnemonic Nexus
Edit: I also wonder if they're going to have the any of the other legends. Like Savra and those twins.
Its possibly, normally headline cards are the only legendary cause they are just that cool but in this case cards like Sisters of Stone Death and of course Tibor and Lumia because they are the second in command feel

Sadly Sisters of Stone Death are two thirds dead with Savra in a coffin, and add to the fact that has been a couple hundred years. There is a good chance the twins are gone too, though humans appear to have around a 200 year life span on Ravnica.
It'd be kind of cool if two of the preview cards were two rare legendary "champions" filling the same roles as cards like Tibor and Lumia or Ulasht, the Hate Seed except being...newier.

18 euros? At least on MCM you can get a NM Crucible for about 9 euros.
