To clarify, I think that these are playable limited cards. But there are like 40 cards left to be revealed. When 6 of them are just 'playable limited cards', it's a concern to me. This set looks worse by the day(literally).
Akroma's Memorial is currently selling for 0.75 tickets on Magic Online....Not that this is some new revelation or anything, but this set is going to be horrible value.
Akroma's Memorial just halved in price... at least. I hope you didn't just buy or trade for any!
The War Falcon is alright since it can at least block if you don't meet the conditions.
As for the cycle of creatures, the power level is alright (some look playable) but I don't like the design much. This doesn't encourage players to play 2 colours, it REQUIRES them to. Would any of them see play other than as limited filler without the second colour?
2/2 for 2B?
2/2 for 1G?
2/1 flying for 2U?
2/1 for 1R?
3/3 for 3W?
I would have designed them to at least be potentially playable without the second colour, and then decrease the boost you get if you've got the second colour. For example:
2U
Creature - Bird Wizard (U)
Flying
Gets +1/+0 if you control a Plains. 2W: Lifelink until end of turn.
2/3
Otherwise the cost should simply have been 1WU.
That's incredibly awkward design though. It has too much seemingly unrelated things. They're making multicolor cards /without/ making them multicolored, and it works pretty well if you ask me. It's a fantastic way of nudging people towards two-color decks when they open their first booster without making people feel like they can't just slot their new boar in their mono green deck, the only deck they own. It's an incredible way for new players to be intuitively taught Magic by the cards themselves.
I don't think that any of the cycle are unplayable without the addition of their second colors (in limited). Especially green and red, which are the colors that want limited beats most.

Might I suggest looking in paper land then? Although, I think this set will devalue it.

It's $15 to $20 on eBay right now. That should come down to under $10 with all the new copies entering the market, though.
on base stats
3/3 for RG
and 3/2 for RB
are constructed playable.
with abilities, the Boar is the most likely to see play.
However, these are designed specifically for sealed, draft, and beginner decks.
They are killer in those decks.
But the War Falcon, will help keep delver in check.
making it so that more than just red aggro can face well against it.

I dunno, Goblin Deathraiders didn't make much of a splash, and that came with trample for free (and 2 relevant creature types). Maybe the 1 toughness made it too susceptible to the removal of the day?
The set is terrible, and Akroma's Memorial doesn't help that.
Ask and you shall receive... it doesn't matter that this is just another baseless statement (as all opinions are) or that it's little more than a troll response. The set is, as all core sets before, a base set that it full of reprints and mediocre cards. If you're cracking packs for value you should look into a new line of work. Especially if you haven't figured out by now that's a crap shoot on if you'll make back your money or open worthless cardboard...

it's problem was it's color pair. It was solid limited fodder but outside of that r/b was pretty weak. Not that currently r/b are doing anything either....
I love multicolored cards at lower rarities. In DKA/ISD/ISD draft, off colored flashback cards and the uncommon gold lords made the format great. The cards made room for a lot of synergies and splashes that wouldn't be as apparent or important in a format with all single colored cards. I really hope that this trend continues for many years to come, as it makes for better Limited environments.
As for the cards specifically, the design seems to be good. The green one is best one, as a 3/3 haste for 3 is very aggressive. A bear is good too. Even a 3/3 for 4 in white and a 2/1 flier for 3 in blue are pretty reasonable.
And as for Akroma's Memorial, it's a shame that it was accidentally spoiled tonight. It'll be good to bring the price down, and it could be a good card in ramp. Rather than play Green Sun's Zenith for 7, you could play Memorial one turn and GSZ the next turn and still attack at the same speed, while bringing some evasion and vigilance.

Maybe the regeneration can help it shrug one or two removal cards before getting offed.
When I saw the lizard I couldn't stop thinking in Sedge Troll, but then I saw this new guy costs 2 mana.

Well, when competing with a 4/4 for two in the only deck that would play it, I think a lot of things wouldn't be played in construced. Volcanic Fallout didn't help out much either.

As others have said before, a lot of players (heck, I'd say most players) would like to see as much return on their Magic investment as possible. When a low-value set (so far) such as M13 comes out, it's bound to disappoint players who know ahead of time that they'll be drafting/cracking packs of that set.

To be fair Goblin Deathraiders were always BR... Whereas this card lets you cast it for 1R as a 2/1 and then if you get a swamp on turn three from either your natural draw or whatever it still becomes a 3/2. That does matter more often than one would assume.

Whatever... This "return of investment" bs is pointless speculation. We have no idea what any of these cards will settle at. And even then you could crack nothing but unplayable jank pack after pack or chase mythic after chase mythic. It doesn't really matter how many High value and low value cards there are. It's like saying lotto tickets are a good investment because some people get millions which is way more than a single lotto ticket.
Decent commons and uncommons, especially that boar, its basically a 1RG with haste, the others are quite ok except for their mana cost which is quite high. Kird Ape was played before, I believe this will see play as long as the Shocklands are reprinted in RTR. Also getting slightly bigger creatures plus abilities is good to.
I wouldn't be expecting too much from M13, since it is basically reprints and a few new cards. Hopefully RTR can change that and surprise us with tons of new cards.
#1 - What's the dumbest idea you ever had?
#2 - 15/15 for 15?
#1 - Make it dumber
#2 - Give it protection from removal and counter?
#1 - DUMBER!
#2 - Add Timewalk?
#1 - DAMN IT MAN, I SAID DUMB!! DUMB !!!
#2 - It destroys everything when it attacks.... And wait, I have a friend who plays mill decks... I want to beat him too.
#1 - Excellent! Recess is over, go back and learn sex-ed with the other 6th graders.
You got 99 attackers but I'm blocking with 1.
