It seems odd to just assume that only ignorant people and people who can't afford Legacy would seriously worry about Brainstorm. Legacy is the only format where Brainstorm is legal, and the Miracle cards are proving that cards like Brainstorm are limiting design space--which is one of the reasons stated for Survival's Banning. I own all of the cards required to play Legacy competitively (I play Doomsday) and I'm surprised that they let us get away with having Top, Ponder, and Brainstorm, and Preordain when these cards are considered banworthy everywhere else. Note also that the other cards/deck you named are either A) Banned, or B) Rely heavily on Brainstorm/Ponder/Top to function.
It's not an assumption. Re-read what I stated, and you'll find that it's true.
Brainstorm is legal in Vintage.
Survival was banned because it was broken. Brainstorm and the rest are hardly broken. Like I said before they are good, and they are good for the very reason I stated before. They keep the discard spells and the rest of Black in check.
Survival was warping the general mechanics of the game and made it possible for one archetype to simple take over the format without there being a decent answer to it. That is what being broken means. None of the Library manipulation spells do any of that. Decks running Brainstorm are consistent, and can fight off the broken mechanics in the format. They are what makes it so that your deck Doomsday does not get banned itself.
You've been playing Magic long enough to have Legacy staples and play Doomsday, but think Library manipulation is ban worthy... Go back and re-read my first reply. It applies to you, as of this second reply to me.
Mark my words: This new Time Walk will get banned in Legacy. It will get banned because it is broken, not because those Library manipulation spells are broken. Those that are saying that it will not have not played against U/B/x combo decks enough. The last thing a deck like Re-Animator or ANT/TES needs is an extra turn. Their consistency would go through the roof, and Combo would take over the format.

Whatever pile of 75 I throw together the night before without testing. Usually: :symb::symu::symg:
Eh... compared to the lady, Gris is rather underwhelming. Yeah, yeah, lifelink helps you get back on track after those life losses, but having to pay 7 life to immediately get seven cards at once is too much Why can't they just make him like Yawgmoth's Bargain for pete's sake, he's already pretty expensive
Temporal Mastery is interesting. This is the sort of card you WILL want to stuff back at your library top, that;s for sure 2 mana extra turn, holy hell...
Howlgeist looks like a nice limited card. Hard to block at start, harder to block later after it dies. Cool. This is the sort of dude that MUST be destroyed with direct damage.
Demonic Taskmaster..... well, it depends on your playstyle. If you intend on having only this one out on the field, 4/3 body for 3 with no other drawback is actually pretty good
Cloudshift is a cheaper blink, but the again, Momentary Blink has flashback...
Banishing Stroke is ok. Nice trick against an Avacyn mirror match
Wingcrafter is ok...
Joint Assault can be nice I'm especially interested in the flavor text: So, Avacyn uses werewolves as her soldiers? Really?
Temporal Mastery better be autobanned in legacy.
That is just...stupid. In legacy we've got 12 reliable filter spells with which we can use Temporal Mastery to power out extra turns. this play is awesome and puts you so far ahead.
Turn one
Land
Brainstorm putting Temporal Mastery second from the top.
Turn two
Land
Turn three
Temporal Mastery
Land
Turn four
Land, Jace.
That is stupid good.

When is green (and red) going to get some love from Wizards? I mean they gave blue time walk, and one of the only things that represents green (fatties) is shifted to the other colors as well.
So you spent a turn and a two card synergy to ramp a land? Ever heard of Birds of Paradise?
not only that, you're opponent is down a card, a land drop, and a turn on which they could do something.
HUGE tempo swing for a turn and a two card synergy. Jace puts people behind, but Temporal + Jace is just a blow out.

On early turns the Mastery is going to read ''Untap your lands and you may play an additional land this turn. Draw a card.'' It's not too good but it gives a nice boost.

Green gets love, but it's sporadic.
I remember Weatherlight as one of the first sets that really bolstered G.
Momir Vig, Simic Visionary
Melek, Izzet Paragon

Griselbrand, very cool card. I love pay life draw card effects and he is doing it like a boss. I WILL use him in casual reanimator, EDH players for sure.
Taskmaster is a very solid uncommon. If you can spare the tokens, yu have an effective beater in standard I guess.
Temporal..eeeh time walk, is incredible. In Legacy, where the format has access to just about any card that takes advantage of it, no question there. Its nuts. Brainstorm, ponder, preordain, sensei, whatever..take +1 turn.
Ok... temporal mastery yeah.... That card is what the hell were they thinking. That card is too good. I mean like way way too good. If that card ends up being a flop I will be shocked.

Nah, forget about it. Blue rather gets a new timewalk than red a reliable 2 drop. Wait, that just happened.
Yeah, was just thinking of black control. Get him down equip and then just laugh as you swing in with a beast. In limited I think he is a trap, but I could see decks being built with him as 4 of 8 creatures or something along those lines.
Here's to hoping for a Reclaim reprint in M13, as Noxious Revival rotates soon.
But for a few months, you get to find a way to make this work;
Faithless Looting
Noxious Revival
Reclaim
Temporal Mastery
Mulch
Thunderous Wrath
Snapcaster Mage
Tormod better have had a brother on Innsitrad.....

Umm... is it just me, or did they just break Legacy? Yes I think Temporal mastery breaks legacy.
Hello new $50+ standard card, and really I bet it gets worse than that, shoot it's mythic. Legacy it's to easy to set up and standard it's just too good. Yeah one in opening hand sucks but faithless looting gets rid of that and no one wouldn't cast it if they drew it.

The king of Yavimaya's waters pays constant attention to his subjects . . . and thrives on their adulation.
You basically just jumped through a hoop to cast Explore
Not really In yanni's senerio you still get to have your turn 2 drop something/ leave mana up to counter something.
This means you could drop a delver, goyf turn 2 and get 2 swings with them by the time jace is down, or cast something more passive like a vial, bitterblossums and start racking up counter/tokens.
A 40 dollar mythic rare would constitute a must have 4 of that goes in many decks.
Stats About Mythics
-Mythics are on average 40% rarer than pre-mythic rares
(old blocks about 200 rares, Mythic blocks 35+ mythics)
-They are printing more new cards a year not less
(about 665 now vs. 630 in most pre-mythic block)
-To drop the value of a rare by $1 a mythic must go up $2
-In a 3 year time span deck prices doubled. I am petitioning for the removal of mythic rarity. Sig this to join the cause.

Temporal Mastery is awesome! I'll put it in my Riku of Two Reflections deck if I get one.

Anyway, DKA was decent for Green as well-
...are all quite usable and nice to have.
And they got the best Mythic (Huntmaster of the Fells) as well.
And to be fair, every color had fatties from the start:
Most of the early ones *sucked*, but it's getting better.

You realize the blue is a mythic and the red miracle previewed is uncommon...
Obviously there will be a power difference... I'm sure a red mythic miracle will be disgusting too. Just relax and breathe.
