Really dissapointed with this card. It's not really doing anything now and I just don't see it doing anything when Innistrad comes along. Wizards could have made Vizzerdrix a mythic and everytime I would open it, I can throw my hands up and say "Got me Wizards!" But I can't even do that with Reversal
{sweatdrop} If playability hinges on the existence of one card (a mythic, at that!), there's something else wrong with the card pool beyond that. Shouldn't the cards that allow baseline playability be over at uncommon, not rare or mythic? (I remember that that was Middle-Earth: The Wizards's mentality.)
Hrist: ...Would a 2UU version of Timetwister/Time Reversal be better? There's also the question of whether the casual retinue would regard it as worthless.
I am sure some people wanted an amazing card here.
But most of the complaints are about the fact that this is the first complete failure of a mythic to be reprinted (since most other horrible mythics are creatures this may be the single worst mythic period. At least big or weird creatures are stylish).. It is simply not a good or fun card. In fact it is in the running for the least interesting mythic. See, I have no issue with the Vampire and Dragon. Oh they are not amazing but if I was a newbie (especially a kid) I would be excited by them.
And for once casual arguments have no value here. If someone is casual and wants this they should just spend the 2 dollars for a play set.
No stifle means I don't like any new card and only like 2 reprints: lavamancer and primeval (this one because I need 4 and reprinting means cheaper). This core set is the worst of the 3 by a lot for me.
Question? Is this 'anonymous source' anonymous to everyone or just us? I.e. is this actually credible, or could the source be trolling? If it is credible, then I'm kind of annoyed - I was hoping for Time Warp for my Ascension deck. Time Reversal is simply an underwhelming card. I don't think there's even a point to printing it - even if Innistrad is graveyard based, there are better answers for the graveyard (Elixir of Immortality anyone?).

There is the question of Diminishing Returns, admittedly. But given WotC's reticence about printing cards with sharp drawbacks, for fear that players may reject them on those grounds alone, the exile-top-ten-cards part might have seemed problematic.
Jeez you guys, I know Time Reversal was disappointing and all, but you're all acting like a bunch of spoiled kids.
The Core set is plenty great. More than enough good cards for me to merit buying a box (Each Planeswalker is amazing, the Titans get cheaper, eac other color's mythics are pretty cool, each accompanying rare planeswalker creature/spell is pretty cool, and there's a bunch of others).

I expect with this [Transform] mechanic that everyone playing a Werewolf tribal deck will say "Autobots, rollout!" whenever the majority of their army transforms.
Oh no!! Time Reversal is back!! Our lives are runt!!
I like time reversal. It may not have seen any standard play but I haven't in a long while either. So suck it.
Overall the set was done well.
You totally missed Phantasmal Image, Sphinx of Uthuun, Distress, Goblin Grenade, a functional reprint of Electropotence without the activation cost which is great when you're dropping fatties in edh. Especially angel/demon/dragon fatties for free (hint). AND SMALLPOX.
So yeah, this set is worthless thanks to time reversal.
I'm sorry, I like good cards and not pulling $0.25 useless mythics. Is that a problem?
I doubt i'm the only one, but my issue with this card isn't that its a reprint and we didn't get a new card. My issue is that this thing is really really bad.
If we got a GOOD mythic reprint it (still) wouldn't be as good as getting a good NEW Mythic but getting a BAD mythic REPRINT...I mean what is the point exactly?
Time Reversal would be a decent card if it was only you but giving it to your opponent too mean there is no actual card advantage from playing this card but as it is its kinda a stupid card especially at 5 if it was 3 or 4 maybe but 5 is just too much. Well if I pull this I guess its going in my Commander deck probably

Because you'll totally open up 36 Time Reversals if you buy a box.

With a new set more than likely being towards graveyard I'd think this card might have some application in the future (hoping wizards had some point to reissuing this card).

If it was 3 it would be a power 9 =/ (yes i know by far the worst one but still)

Another reason (in addition to CMC) that Timetwister is broken is because it doesn't exile itself.
See also Diminishing Returns, which is far less broken, but was still preferred over Time Reversal in the few Legacy decks that ran an effect like that before Time Spiral was unbanned. Primarily due to the 1 mana difference.
Because you'll totally open up 36 Time Reversals if you buy a box.
Challenge Accepted.
I'm more than a little surprised to see this back, but there are plenty of cards that warrant me buying a box. Heck, I wouldn't be mad if I pulled 1, just because I like the art. Could be fun with Psycrosis Crawler and Chandra 3.0. Definitely casual, but fun.

Really lame that blue didn't get a new mythic while all the other colors did.
You mean except for Jace?

(...1UUU version of Time Reversal?)
Duh. I'm saying, for power level, Timetwister would be fine in standard. Tacking on an extra 1U makes it crap.
I'm only going to have to buy few playsets wich is good for my wallet at least.

Stupid argument backed by stupid logic. INN could make any number of bad cards good, but until we know more that sort of speculation is pointless.
At 3 it's broken, see Timetwister.
