Good point mouse corpse. I know we've been told that mono-color will return. Perhaps it will be the other "gimmick" of Reborn... return to 2-color friendly pairs as to ease the transition. I certainly hope we'll see some 3 and 4 color cards... but whatever. The names of the cards are pretty blah... I mean we already have a bunch of Behemoths and Thoctars running around. Gets a little confusing I would think to a newer player.
Hrm...looks like ARB might be 'ally explosion' as someone speculated earlier today.
I welcome it, honestly. It settles things back down while still keeping in with the block.

Nice, I just know Vigilant Escort is going to be a bomby little rare. I'd believe it has the ability of that Time Spiral card (Sasha Goddsdotter?) and will bring back a creature that would die this turn, or maybe it will take out a creature. I just get the feeeling it's going to be cool. The Spellcrasher Behemoth does look cool too. Uncounterable=Spellcrasher?

Two color seems kind of off kilter for a block that started tri-color, evolved to 5 color, and then has an all multi-color set2 color decks just seem weird. but i like the thoctar. i feel you can tell a lot from these cards The colors are now flowing freely, allowing things that never would ahve existed before. Go Deathbringer Thoctar and Filigree Angel!
There aren't angels on Esper... but we have a Filigree Angel.
There aren't any black behemoths... until Deathbringer Thoctar.
We were full of tricolor... before Alara Reborn.
One small step for mono, one giant leap for everything but.
Not even a small step for mono. This is a confirmation, pretty much, that this is a pure multi-colored set (minus lands, of course).
I do not think it's a co-inki-dink that each card featured on the front is multi-colored.
I am super psyched to not only know what those 5 creatures do, but what the rest of theset looks like. I want to know what the legends are, the spells, the multi-colored artifacts, and the land. From the humblelest common to the proud mythic.
He told us that Tues. (yesterday) he would get scans, or at least the details of the cards he saw. What a let down. Just another false claim for attention.
Guess we'll just have to wait for cards to pop up from other sites. I, for one, was let down. Andyda, was it worth it? Raising me up just to drop me down?
I must say that ever since they switched over to the intro packs, I have loved the design of the packaging, they look so appealing and attractive. Although, the contents could be improved. Still, they look so spiffy.
I don't have any hard numbers on this, but I'm targeted more often than a black guy driving a beat-up sedan with a broken tail-light and no license plate, and Cy's well aware of that.
Not even a small step for mono. This is a confirmation, pretty much, that this is a pure multi-colored set (minus lands, of course).
I'm actually hoping there are no lands in this set at all. I was promised pure multicolor, and damn it, that's what I want!
Yes, there's certainly enough fixing available in the previous two sets to allow it.
Fun, shards merging together and things like that. I would imagine that intro packs need not be confined to representing cards from only one shard, rather that they are stressing how two shards are more alike than they are different, sharing two colors of mana. I suggest:
Sky Army: Bant and Esper. A fun combination of aven, angels, strices, gargoyles, sphinxes, and levitating wizards. Evasion abilities and ways to gain control of the board are features common to both Esper and Bant. Common enemy: Jund.
Unnatural Plans: Esper and Grixis. Tidehollow and Unx. Golems, demons, zombies, horrific artifical monstrosities, and more wizards. They each have plenty of graveyard-related cards already, so its not much of a leap. Grixis has unearth, Esper has plenty of ways of manipulating and reanimating artifacts, and both are, in every sense of the word, "unnatural". Common enemy: Naya.
Deathly Invitation: Grixis and Jund. Goblins, dragons, zombies, demons, and occasional shamans. An emphasis on unending aggression through unearth and devour. A pinch of discard-related cards in it as well, no doubt. Sort of like Blightning aggro, but with a little more devour, maximizing the utility of the unearthed creatures. Common enemy: Bant.
Agent of Chaos: Jund and Naya. Dragons, behemoths, and other unstoppable forces of nature. Uncounterability, large creatures, board sweepers, nothing to complain about here. Common enemy: Esper.
Relentless Attack: Naya and Bant. Beasts, elves, humans, rhoxes, and so on. Thanks to exalted, every creature, big or small, is a substantial threat, thus it is "relelentless". That would be the plan, I would think. Common enemy: Grixis.
I mention their common enemy not to say that the two shards are necessarily at war with a third, but rather that, while they are merging together, conflicts natural to the color pie are probably going to come up.
I could be entirely wrong though. In any case, the set is going to be very interesting.
All of this raises a few questions for me, based on what we already know:
1. Will there be enemy colored cards in Conflux?
Personally, I imagine that the set will consist primarily if not entirely of allied colored cards. I see little room for blue-red or black-white if the set is entirely multi-colored as it is. The cards in this set will help flesh out the connections between the shards, by focusing on color pairs that they share.
2. Any new planeswalkers?
I think it will be unlikely that we will have any new planeswalker cards in Alara Reborn. We already have one planeswalker for each shard.
3. How will this influence limited?
I can't even begin to fathom this question without seeing what sorts of mana fixing Alara Reborn adds to the mix.

Well, that's all that has come to mind to me thus far. In any case, this is a great find, thank you CopySix.
I'm not sure if we can really guess anything about dual color from the decks. Afterall, most of the non mythic gold cards were 2 color in Conflux and a large number were in Shards as well. Plus, Shards was very tricolored yet all the duel decks had monocolored foils. In Conflux, 4/5 decks featured a tricolored foil and along with Meglonoth, included every tricolored rare in the set. I'm not sure seeing the 5 rares means much. Afterall, we could already guess that there were a lot of 2 colored cards in the set.
Awesome. I can play Rumbling Slum in Mental Magic more easily.
...but seriously folks two-color is AOK by me, even if I was hoping for enemy wedge to alleviate things like "UBG has two creatures and one bad split card"

Tarmogoyf has no evasion, yet it sees tonnes of play. What makes this any different?
Looks like all of the Shards will be dropping a color. What will be interesting to see is, will the power level of the new cards be enough to give rise to competitive 2-color decks in a world of tri-color and 5cc?
Also, I hope there aren't many mana-fixers in this set, especially if it's mostly 2-colored cards. We already have a TON of fixers in this block.
. . . In any case, this is a great find, thank you CopySix.
You are most Welcome . . . Just a WARNING - the Intro Pack Names as well as Card Names are not necessarily the most correct ones as they are in Japanese.

We aren't just going by the foils for this.
The shards intros were shard colored, the Conflux ones did what they felt like (still shard-aligned), these are all allied.

It's possible for the Reborn intro packs to have mono-colored cards, borrowed from Conflux or Shards of Alara.
In any case, I agree, a set without mono-colored cards is actually very exciting.
