So, enchantress is easily my personal favorite deck of all time in legacy, and the time has come to bring it to modern! Let's get started with win conditions:
In legacy enchantress, the win conditions have generally been based around one of four cards, and one of them, Words of War, is lost moving into modern, leaving us with only the token based win conditions (Which is fine). The three cards that I am talking about are Sacred Mesa, Luminarch Ascension, and last but not least, Sigil of the Empty Throne. The way these will be used is the same as in a control deck that used them as win conditions. These cards allow us to swarm the field with tokens once we have established control.
Next up, is the core of the deck. Moving into modern we lose the most important parts of the deck, Argothian Enchantress, Enchantress' Presence, and Sterling Grove among others, but fear not, for we have a modern solution for this problem. First, the Enchantresses: Mesa Enchantress and Verduran Enchantress. Both effects being creature based causes the deck to lose some resilience to targeted removal, but the solution will be addressed shortly.
Now to replace sterling grove, we have Greater Auramancy. Losing only the search element, this two mana enchantment protects all of our other enchantments, and comes with the bonus of protecting enchanted creatures as well!
One of the other parts lost is tutor ability, but this may be the simplest of all, with Idyllic Tutor.
Now to address the issue of protecting our Enchantresses. We have a few options here: If you want to splash blue, then you can play Cloak of Mirrors, which has the advantage of being one mana cheaper that our green option, but lacks the resilience of Aspect of Mongoose. If your meta is not very heavy on board sweepers, go with cloak if you think you can deal with the mana, otherwise, aspect is strictly better.
The next card, which is a completely new innovation with the deck, is Mirrorweave, which allows us to turn any tokens produced before winning into more Enchantresses for even more card draw. Personally, I advise running two at most, as I feel that too many copies could be dead draws with the distinct lack of non enchantress creatures in the deck.
Some cards to fill in the VERY important roles of Elephant Grass, Moat, Solitary Confinement, etc. are VERY necessary, and the answers can be found in Ghostly Prison, along with some more creature neutralization in Faith's Fetters and Prison Term. One of my personal choices is Cowed by Wisdom, which is helped immensely by the card draw engine of enchantress. Wrath of God has proven itself to be very useful and is a good choice as a 2 of in the MB.
One more card moved over from legacy, is Suppression Field, which is mostly a meta call, and the same applies to Choke, Ground Seal, and the like that are played in legacy enchantress.
Well, actually the deck basically is an auto win against delver and other tempo decks and control that lacks a high density of sweepers. Try it out! It's a great choice right now for the metagame, and it beats affinity and aggro with ease as well! The only problem is with combo pre- board, and post- board it is pretty good.
Instead of focusing on a Legacy-style card-drawing deck, you should focus on out-living the opponent and winning off of the top-notch win-cons of Sigil and Luminarch Ascension. You can easily hit 5 mana for Sigil with Utopia Sprawl and such ramping you, and Luminarch Ascension helps you win by just doing what you want to do anyway (stall).

It's an updated version of Brawl into an epic, new game.
Adressing all points above, luminarch ascension is mentioned, and it is in my list, just somehow forgot it, fixing. Next up, thanks for the tip on canopy, but there are no cards I need to target my own creatures with once they are protected, so aspect is better for the resilience. Abundant growth is not good enough for modern. @above Oh my god that is awesome! Thanks so much! In response to your questions, prison term because it can re- equip and 4 o-rings do the job. Journey was in my original list but I needed space. i will probably -2 Prison term +2 Journey to nowhere. Finally, SB should be some combination of ground seal, choke, and meta choices, I will post my suggestion for it soon. Updating whenever I can.
If you didnt see, I am running one Runed Halo MB and between that and the 1 Story Circle, Geist wont be a big problem. Also, I dropped the count to 1x Prison Term on my last update. Take a look at the updated list from earlier.
EDIT: Might go for 2 story circle, it is really really good.
The problem with *** is it kills any enchantresses we have out at the time. Maybe totem armor could help if you want to run it? I was thinking something more like 1x Elesh Norn with all the ramp we have, or maybe just upping the story circles to a playset? Also, I think Prison Term does not target if it is in play and reattached with it's ability although I am not sure.
Humm. Either that looks a bit false or this is the new best deck. I think its not exactly accurate. Especially since you give pre and post board with no sb. Unless you were just taking the best 15 for each matchup. Then maybe. But the preboard %s still look wrong.
@megatog keep in mind this is all raw testing data, from my experience. In the format right now, there are a lot of players who want to play the "best deck" but dont know how to play it, and this is the kind of deck that capitalizes on every little play mistake, avoidable or not, that your opponent makes. I am sure once the testing goes past 100 matches the numbers will come down some, but that is actually my result list. Played against Affinity, NLU, Jund, Loam, Fae, Caw- Blade, RWU Delver, RUG Delver, Storm, Ad Nauseam, Living Death, Splinter Twin, Naya Pod, Melira Pod, and some weird home brews with tokens and stuff (Which got destroyed).
Alright, two points to address. One, you are right about runed halo, it rocks. Two, the deck also takes a lot of practice, but tempo matchups actually are very winnable. I will post a guide to playing the deck in the primer tonight when I can get on my computer. For now, I will just say this; play story circle to protect against burn in the. Delver matchup, then worry about creatures. Oh, and can someone answer the prison term question.from earlier? Oh, and I am now running two choke know because every deck in the meta except our best matchups plays blue.
The win rates are kind of outrageous. Maybe you are just a better player than I am but with win rates like that... THis deck should be tier 1 in an instant. Especially when combo is becoming less popular and delver surging.

I think even the best deck in modern has almost all 50% and 60% win rates vs most deck. Most modern match ups are a toss up on draws
I played legacy enchantress for 2 years before moving to modern in this last year, and to play the deck well, you always have to be thinking one step ahead of your opponent. Enchantresses are usually counterspell bait. Everyone seems to think that they are more important than the enchantments, but you can capitalize on that idea by baiting them out with the enchantresses then dropping a sigil and killing them with a flying army of angels. I will address al concerns when I get to my computer in about ten minutes.
To answer your prison term question. Its a triggered ability that does not target. Rather all that happens is a creature enters play, ability triggers, and on resolution you choose to switch or not.
Do not forget about apnap. Active player non active player. Meaning if its your opp turn and they play a dude with a triggered ability their ability goes on the stack then prison term goes on the stack. Yours resolves first. I cant imagine this mattering with this card since it doesnt stop triggeref abilities, but a card may exist that has both a triggered and activated ability that is dependent on the trigger.
Some lists do run Emrakul, and I totally forgot. Thanks for the catch! I will update the primer tomorrow, getting late:sleeping:...
No problem! I'll be testing the deck a lot too because its definitely peaked my interest. From what I've played so far, it's definitely a good and unexpected deck too.
I'm also looking at Reliquary Tower. I've had hands of 12+ cards with multiple enchantresses out. The deck isn't too cc intensive so it'd probably be able to handle it.
Edit: I think Wrath needed mainboard for sure. The times I needed a board wipe greatly outnumbered the amount of times i had an enchantress out on the field.
On tower. If your mana can support it and you dont think another style land is better than it, why not? Im not playing this deck so I cant imagine if the lands would be ok with it.
Someone mentioned abundant growth. Why not in a 1 or 2 of? I know its not great, but wouldnt it just help you? When you dont have an enchantress/finisher it helps you to get one. When you do have one or both then its gass.
I don't understand how every new deck made in the modern forms has these kind of matchups. Either your testing against suboptimal decks or your playing against suboptimal opponents. If you deck is better then 50% against everything other than combo and better then 50% against everything post board there is no reason people would play other decks. How is it not obvious that this data is clearly skewed by some factor.
I'm not trying to put down your primer I just see this in every new deck primer and I think it's worth stating that it is clearly not true or every one of these decks would be the best deck and the majority of the field would be playing it.
Edit -- n/m I see someone else already mentioned this.

Also, I may suggest Abundant Growth as well. Does not mana ramp, but it color fixes and cantrips. It's an option at the least.
