The right tool for the job...
I love this thread for so many reasons! I've actually been trying to get my play group to make there own generals and build a deck around it. Most of them haven't really gone for it. On the other side of things, its interesting to see how people rate themselves as a magic card, and what unique abilities they bring to the table.

Scypher is a character I played in World of Warcraft for years. She was a shadow priest and as time when on, friends from outside the game started calling my Scypher rather than my real name. Eventually I played this character in a D&D game and started using the name on message boards (whenever I could get it).
As much as I love White and Black, I feel that I would more likely be Blue and Red. This is more like me, strange and all.

This commander represents a high-ranking Azorius lawmage (hence the 'Wizard' typing and harsh W/U cost). It is a Vedalken to represent the stoic nature of W/U. I gave it indestructible and an untap ability to represent a persistent enforcer of the rules (think Javert), who cannot be stopped or swayed. He has the ability to detain criminals, as most Azorius, but his tap ability shows a capacity for meting out justice. Flying is the evergreen mechanic both colors both share and quite the useful one for travelling about a city-plane. The stats of the commander are defense-oriented because his color combination is the most defensive of all. To give credit where credit is due, the commander was inspired by Ethersworn Adjudicator.

Arbiter represents my actual personality. His colors are American because I identify most strongly with that color combination. His typing is 'Archon Dragon Sphinx' to represent my propensity for nonsensical typings strange mind. Haste and Flash are R and U keywords, respectively, denoting speed. Vigilance thematically works as a W keyword because it shows wariness. The mana abilities each represent various versatile aspects of my personality; W/U is my defensive nature, R/U is my tendency to use defense as an offensive tool, and R/W is my love of speed manifesting in an efficient and quick offense. His overall design is most inspired by Morphling variants.
