I had one a couple days ago. Me with The Mimeoplasm, two other players with Garza Zol, Plague Queen and Brion Stoutarm. A small army of Faultgrinders had dropped me to three lands early on, and I hadn't drawn another land since. I had managed to get two more down with a Farhaven Elf and an Eternal Witness returning a destroyed land while the other two duked it out, and had just untapped with a Riptide Shapeshifter in play. GZ untaps, drops a land and goes up to 14 mana available, Diabolic Tutors for Time Stretch, and prepares for two extra turns. I stop at the end of his turn and ask if anyone has removal. GZ thinks I mean for whatever he's going to play on his extra turns. I didn't.
I sac the Shapeshifter naming Sphinx, and flip up to the only sphinx in my deck: Chancellor of the Spires. I prepare to make infinite sphinxes with the Rite of Rep and then take my own two extra turns with Time Stretch...
... and then Brion Flash Conscriptions my sphinx in response and throws it at me. Oh well. GZ drops Mindleech Mass, hits me and plays the Deadeye Navigator from my hand, and proceeds to blink his Mnemonic Wall repeatedly for infinite turns with Stretch. : /
wait, even if he does take control of the chancellor, shouldn't he still be unable to stop the EtB ability? I mean, it's already in play even if you do take control of it afterwards. It didn't come into play under his control, you know. So the spell-stealing ability would still go off.

I'm assuming this was in response to the Rite of Replication, which would be countered once it's target (the sphinx) became illegal.

Thanks to Heroes of the Plane for the awesome Sig.
I had 2 Omen machines (1 copied) on the field after I did a Warp World (which gave me the original Omen). Later I dropped Knowledge Pool to eventually beat my opponent's with their own cards!

Kresh deck has a Kessig Wolf Run and a 46/46 Thunder-Thrash Elder. We're all around 15 life, so it's lethal if we let him untap with it. I untap my things and draw Knowledge Exploitation. When I noticed the Twincast in my hand, I cast them, banking on at least one of them having Insurrection somewhere. Neither of them had it, but one had a Mark of Mutiny and the other had a Radiate.
Seeing what was going on, the Niv player cast a Cackling Counterpart (there was a copied Mycoloth on everyone's field) which gets copied by my Curse of Echoes. We spent some time arranging cards to figure out what all was on the stack and what was targeting what. They choose Mycoloth, I chose some random dork (a Drake token I think).
Once everything was arranged, I then used Echo Mage to copy the original Mark of Mutiny, stealing a Hissing Iguanar that would have been the end of me. I gain control of the Hissing Iguanar, then Mycoloths come in devouring the big guys; however, there's still enough power on the table for my makeshift Insurrection to kill everyone.
I swear, I didn't put any win conditions in this deck.

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
Was playing 5-star with my Esper STEAL ALL THE THINGS.deck one of my allies had killed off one of my two opponents.
Sitting across from me is Grimgrin who's just resolved an Army of the Damned. Zombie tokens are tapped down. During the end step of my ally's turn, I memory plundered for 13 of my own tokens. Next turn draw and play Acquire, pick Grimgrin, because eh why not?

@sun of the suns
I've done the exact same thing with Admonition Angel and I've had friends who have done the same thing. And as for losing the sol ring boohoo. Sol rings get blown up all the time at my local store and when I'm just at home with friends.
You tucked three commanders who, if left unchecked, can take control of the board and a piece of artifact mana. Seems like a well thought out play, and certainly nothing to get upset about. How long do people expect creatures and artifacts to stick around for in EDH anyway?
The Ezuri player definitely shouldn't have insulted you, but I can see why he decided to pack up - a resolved Terminus on his general (and whatever else his board state was) probably meant gg against him anyways. The person who played Sisay definitely overreacted. I don't like scooping in multiplayer much in general, but he didn't really even have a good reason. Targeting anything that makes mana at all is off-limits? He seems to just want to play by his own rules, in his own little happy world.
On topic: I'm not going to make a third post in this thread describing how awesome Dream Halls is in T&L, but I will say that on turn 5 or 6 with Tariel stax I dropped a Cataclysm that left me with Braids, Cabal Minion, Orzhov Basilica, Goblin Assault, and Journeyer's Kite. Pretty close to a perfect set of permanents for me. Won that one.
I'm not sure if this is the right place, since I also wish for opinions on this situation:
We're playing a 5 players game of a multiplayer mode called "Betrayer", which is very popular in Germany. It's a game with hidden "roles", 1 lord against 4 farmers, the latter have a betrayer among them, who wins and loses together with the lord. You don't need to know more about this mode to understand what I will talk about.
So I was the lord, playing Kaalia. I already had an idea of who would be my team mate (betrayer). My team mate was playing Lin Sivvi, my enemies played Ezuri, Sisay and Rhys the Redeemed. ALL of the commanders were on the battlefield, so I decided to attack another player with my Kaalia and Angel of Despair. Kaalia's ability brings Angel of Serenity. I decided NOT to exile the commanders of the enemies, but exiled Kaalia, Angel of Despair and Lin Sivvi. In the second main phase I cast Terminus, Ezuri, Rhys and Sisay are tucked, and this is where the sad part begins: The Ezuri player starts to insult me heavily and ragequits. Next turn I attack the Sisay player, Kaalia brings Steel Hellkite, I activate Steel Hellkite for X=1, killing his Sol Ring. Sisay player ragequits saying "I don't play with people who destroy mana."
I never played before with the 2 players who ragequit, and I knew the local meta would be a casual one, so I decided to not play combo or mass ld, but I was shocked that they're that "thin-skinned". What do you think? Did I "grief play" that day, or did I do something that should be tolerated in a casual group?
Sol Ring isn't mana, technically. It also makes for one hell of a target in any EDH game--nobody should be surprised if it gets destroyed.
i can't fully remember the combo card wise, but a good friend of mine lost to temple bell. The guy played it with something so he could just continually make everyone discard, draw until he got an eldrazi so he wouldn't lose. He was pissed
i can't fully remember the combo card wise, but a good friend of mine lost to temple bell. The guy played it with something so he could just continually make everyone discard, draw until he got an eldrazi so he wouldn't lose. He was pissed
I was playing a 3-player FFA a couple of days ago, with me as Riku against a Mimeoplasm and a Maelstrom Wanderer.
Wanderer didn't do much threatening plays during the game and didn't matter much, he accelerated and drew cards and that was it.
I got out a Survival of the Fittest turn 2 and tutored up Squee, Goblin Nabob turn 3 for infinite tutoring My opponents' mistake was not destroying the Survival, but since I just tutored for small utility dudes such as Wood Elves and Oracle of Mul Daya they probably didn't considered it a threat just then.
Mimeoplasm guy made us discard our hands with a Windfall after another turn or so, making me discard a Tolaria West, Inferno Titan and some lands. He himself dicarded an Inkwell Leviathan among other things.
I don't remember if I drew or tutored for Consecrated Sphinx myself or copied one from Wanderer (I think I drew it) but I got one into play at this point.
Wanderer dredged a Life from the Loam to stop me from drawing but I got 2 cards when the turn got to Mimeoplasm. At this point I had an Oracle of Mul Daya in play, so after drawing those two cards (one was a Phyrexian Metamorph) I saw an Anger on top of my Library.
He played his commander becoming the Inkwell Leviathan with counters from the red titan in my graveyard.
We discussed the rules for a minute or two, arriving at the conclusion that Mimeoplasm couldn't be cloned to death since it no longer was legendary.
So... looking at the board I noticed that since Wanderer had no Islands in play and I did, I'd probably be the first one to go. And barring a lucky draw for an All Is Dust, which would be my only answer to the 11/17 unblockable Mimeoplasm with Shroud in my entire deck, I realized that I had just two turns to kill him or he would kill me. I had 7 lands in play of which 2 were Islands, so destroing my own lands and getting some sort of fatty into play to block the leviathan was not a good option.
After some pondering I saw the way out:
I discarded Squee for an Eternal Witness, bringing back Tolaria West. I transmuted it for a Gaea's Cradle. I also played two other lands, getting it up to 9.
Wanderer played an Avenger of Zendikar and a land. Mimeoplasm attacked me for 11 general damage. My turn again.
I discarded Anger for my own Avenger of Zendikar, played it for 9 plants. Then I put down Gaea's Cradle and got around 14 mana. I discarded Squee for a Craterhoof Behemoth and cast a Phyrexian Metamorph for 3 mana and 2 life copying Avenger for another 9 tokens. I cast Craterhoof Behemoth and had a mountain in play for the Anger in my graveyard.
So.. from 3 utility dudes, a Consecrated Sphinx and a Survival on my side facing a two turn clock I couldn't possibly get rid of, I suddenly had 540+ trampling damage on the board for the win
Red, green and blue is an awesome colour combination
We where playing last night and me and my friend was the last two players standing. My friend was playing his Captain Sisay deck and I was playing my Oros deck. I didn't have much on the field. I had Oros, the Avenger which had been enchanted by his Arrest, so it was useless, and a Solemn Simulacrum which was equipped with Sunforger. He had a million Squirrels do to combo'ing out with Earthecraft and Squirrel Nest I was pretty much screwed, He was attacking and I thought hell with it might as well activate Sunforger and hope for the best. I was just looking to see what rabbit I could pull outta my hat. Turns out Rakdos Charm is very awesome.
I know, not a crazy play, but it was funny cause I didn't think I would ever use that third ability, ever. I added Rakdos Charm simply for its first two abilities, mainly its first. I didn't even remember the third ability until I was searching and decided to re-read it.
EDIT: To anybody wondering, I was outta Enchantment removal by this time in the game, only thing I had left in my deck was Karn Liberated and Vindicate. I hate Arrest.
4 player game -Krenko, Mob Boss is my commander. The horde of notions player to my right gets an infinite life combo. I asked him to pick a number.
"10 million"
People in my group don't usually play combo decks, so my other two opponents have no answers and scoop. He starts to pick up his cards for the next game, but I stop him and tell him I'm not conceding yet.
I've got Krenko and Thousand-Year Eliixr online. Over the next few turns I use those, plus Goblin Chieftan and Shared Animosity (plus random goblins) to hit him for hundreds, then thousands, then tens of thousands, then millions of damage at a time until he was dead. He had to borrow paper and the store owner's calculator to figure out my damage and his life total each turn. He wasn't even mad.
This happend just now at my school's magic night. I was playing my rasputin dreamweaver deck against four other players and i stumbled onto a combo i didnt know i had. Using oblivion stonerasputin dreamweaver a gilded lotus a faith's reward a mnemonic wall and a draining whelk i discovered the ability to destroy all of my opponents non land permanents and counter a spell at instant speed and produce infinite mana at the same time.
A friend of mine pumped 30 life in to a Moltensteel Dragon when I had to Reachers against his Scion deck. He went down to 6 life, and I simply tapped a forest and played a Fog. We laughed for about two minutes, then I swung in with lethal.
One of my favorite things to do is to get 10+/X Unblockable Shroud (Yay Whispersilk cloak), drop a Sorin Markov and just kill the person whose been gaining life for 5 turns off of Venser's Journal.
