I resolved Army of the Damned twice with Endless Ranks in play. Let a couple turns pass, dropped Vengeful Dead, case Grimgrin from the command zone, sac'd the tokens for game.
Doublestrike with Edric means a BUNCH of cards, and it shows I'm not an apparent threat compared to the other players who got their largest beefiest guys. Collective Voyage for 20 means most of those cards are not lands, as I play 15 basic lands(3 of each). My Child EDH deck is the bombiest deck you have ever seen, so I was rolling in happiness.
Olivia then attacks everyone leaving Reaper King at 5 life and me at 6 life left. The Green player got knocked out quite fast, which was good because he was holding Howl of the Night Pack(Plus the whole "Everything has doublestrike, and his creatures were land dependent large trample creatures). After Olivia's turn I untap, with the important cards that I own being Azorius Guildmage, Child of Alara, Miren, the Moaning Well, and Edric, the Spymaster of Trest. I attack Olivia out right, play Captured Sunlight, and end my turn. I discard all the cards I don't need to win, as I have a hand of about 15.
Reaper's turn comes around, and he also attacks Olivia, draws a bunch of cards, opts not to use Exsanguinate, probably to keep me alive to attack Olivia, as I had 10 life at this point and he couldn't out right kill Olivia.
Olivia's turn comes around, he goes into attack phase expecting me to sacrifice Child with Miren, and instead I tap out and tap his creatures with Azorius Guildmage. He then plays Hostility and Breath of Malfegor, which forces me to wipe the board on my turn.
Before I wipe, I kill off Reaper King. I draw a bunch of cards due to Edric; I draw Angel of Despair and Rite of Replication, but I don't have the mana to win this turn, so I fill my board with blockers and keep 3 mana back to Crosis's Charm anything that Olivia plays that would give his guys haste.
He resurrects his Urabrask the Hidden, gets ready for a doom swing with 4 other large creatures, all of which would do over 40 some damage. but again at the beginning of the attack phase I disrupt him by killing Urabrask. No damage done, my turn starts; Life total is Alara: 16, Olivia: 25.
The odds of winning a coinflip once with Krark's Thumb = 0.75
The odds of winning six times in a row = 0.75^6 ~= 0.18
I'd say you got lucky...
Did you know that if you flip a coin 100 times, I can guarantee you that 6 in a row will come up. Every single time? Statistically, it makes no sense. But, it happens. Every single time you flip a coin 100 times in a row and you count the results, there will be a sequence of 6 in a row.
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! U got told. Nice one fzian h:)
And I'm not sure that's right because that same game I did a crazed firecat that became a 21/21 by calling heads twice in a row and tails twice in a row. Its luck also butt (hehe) the thumb makes your odds pretty good
I take it something happened to the Grip of Chaos first?

Lived the dream (almost) with Dralnu mill last night. I haven't been hitting table mill cards so both opponents have 70+ cards left in their libraries, but a combination of Tolarian Winds, Breakthrough, Graveborn Muse, and Mind Unbound means that a good 80% of my deck is currently in the yard, most notably including Army of the Damned. While I have a pretty solid board position thanks to Living Death, the only thing really relevant to this is Cemetery Reaper.
First turn, tutor for and play Altar of Dementia, then play Undead Alchemist.
Second turn, flashback AotD. Proceed to mill one opponent out three cards at a time, with Alchemist replenishing the supply of zombies I'm saccing to Altar. Get the other guy (who's a little lighter on creatures) down to about 16 cards before I finally run through all my zombies.
He then Krosan Grips my Altar and beats me down with a number of large creatures. Totally worth it while it was going, though.

[Pr]Jaya | Estrid | A rotating cast of decks built out of my box.
A while ago I was playing in a five-players-chaos and hardly had anything on the board (except for Swiftfoot Boots) while others kept shenaniganning and sweeping over and over again. I had Necrotic Ooze in my hand. Turn passes over to me, I draw Buried Alive. Dammit, not enough mana of the needed colours to play them both in one turn and win (Buried Alive -> Anger, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Mogg Fanatic into graveyard, infinite Oozes to sac for damage). So I decide to wait for another black mana and don't do anything, turn passes over, passes over again. Another guy plays Buried Alive, putting Anger, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Mogg Fanatic into graveyard. After that he plays Demonic Tutor, obviously to get Necrotic Ooze. Turn passes over to me. You guys can imagine my face when I drop Ooze, equip it with my boots and win?
I was playing Kresh against Oona. I cast something turn 3 which was Spell Crumpled. Turn 4 of course he Tunnel Visioned me leaving me with 1 card in library. I draw the card, drop a land, and play Living Death. He just sat there in awe. We lost count at 4,000 or so damage.
My opponent untapped, attached with Blightsteel, putting me to 9 poison counters and losing two of my goblins. He then activated Mayael again and found Ulamog the Infinite Gyre to destroy my Mindslaver.
About to give up, I realized that I did have a Wheel of Fate suspended, with 1 counter left. I untapped, cast it and drew for the turn. I managed to draw Gamble, and successfully gambled for Confusion in the Ranks. Dropped Confusion in the Ranks. Then I played a Sol Ring and swapped it for Colossus, Goblin Matron which I swapped with Ulamog, and at EOT Norin came back into play and took Mayael.
So all in all, my opponent's turn 7 saw him with two indestructible legends in play, destroy my legendary artifact, and put me to 9 poison counters. My board had a 2/1, a 2/2 and three 1/1's. By the end of my turn, I had a 11/11 and 10/10 indestructible legends, my opponent's Commander, and achieved a concession.

So you had a haste enabler? That's an important detail, my friend.
This is a good story why you never play planechase against a good stuff deck.
We both keep hands. I go first.
Flip into the Maelstrom, then I thought, oh wow, this is gonna be a quick game.
turn 0, flip into mountain
turn 1, play swamp, attempt to planeswalk, no good
opponent's turn, flip.....into a sundering titan. kills off my lands.
a) I meant that had you played your Mindslaver it would have been even worse.
b) ...says the guy that Gambled for Confusion in the Ranks? HAHA! You can't run that card and not carry a little flask of douche with you.
I love all of the cards involved in your game. They make me groan when others cast them - even Matron because that means that Squee or Welder are coming down - but they are all fun as hell to play. My point was that had you played it right you could have given your friend "the business*" even more.
So I'm playing Sharuum No combos but Land Destructions galore against 4 other players.
One player decides to Armageddon since he's having land issues according to him. I was getting land flooded, but I still had Sun Titan and Sol Ring on the board. Next turn, I Sculpting Steel my Sol Ring, get a land drop, and have Sun Titan recur another land. So 3 turns later I Death Cloud for 4 to seal the deal on everyone with enough mana to cast Sharuum and recur Steel Hellkite.

Olivia Voldaren, Reaper King, Molimo, Maro-Sorcerer, and my Child of Alara deck.
Collective Voyage is the club's favorite card I think, and the Reaper King decided to play it. After it was payed for 20, Olivia had his turn, plopping down Avatar of Slaughter, Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief, Urabrask the Hidden, and Boldwyr Heavyweights. With the heavy weights, I got Edric, Spymaster of Trest.

I DRAW Rise from the Grave, take his Urabrask, play Angel of Despair, Rite of Replication it 5 times, Wipe his board and then some lands, and attack for over 40 hasty damage for the win.

Nice.
But how do you untap the Ooze in that scenario?
You don't. You tap the copies.

The ooze taps to make a copy of itself, which can tap to make a copy of itself... Then he sacrifices them to do damage.
