Generation 15: The first time you see this, add it to your sig, but add 1 to the number. Call it a social experiment.
At the end of his turn, I desperately Chaos Warp my morph, hoping to hit a dragon or at least a land so I can get something going. Any permanent would be nice, really. I shuffle and flip over... Blasphemous Act. He cheers and I curse. Then I double check the wording on Chaos Warp. The card stays on top. I untap and win.
Hmmm probably not on par with all the cool shenanigans posted earlier but i managed to wild ricochet a cruel ultimatum turning a certain loss into a win
This is why I want to put wild ricochet, shunt, and reiterate in my ashling deck. I just already have such a low threat density and can't decide what to cut for them.
Speaking of mono red; I was able to cast and keep planar portal for more then a turn. Fetched argentum armor and put it on a kobald from kher keep followed by greaves to deal with something that mono red has no business dealing with. Then was going to fetch spikeshot elder but top decked the bastard. My friend even cut my deck from my last search through it. R for elder, 6 for equipping argentum armor, and 1RR three times for 21 direct damage. Then a hasted attack off greaves and blew up the blocker from the argentum armor trigger. The total damage had I had to search would have been 14 instead of 28, all because of 6 mana. Never let mono red get tutors and a mana doubler... and lucky.
As a connoisseur of fun, interesting matches, I still to this day have not been able to craft that "perfect deck"; the deck that I can play and have fun over time, doesn't get boring, but simultaneously is fun to play against. I honestly don't think it exists. It's like a unicorn. A ninja unicorn.
I had a blast, was in a 5 player game with my Niv-Mizzet deck, I won the dice roll and went first, and everyone had just spent their sweet time resolving mulligans.
I dropped an island, tapped for sol ring, tapped that for grim monolith, dropped a mox opal, then tapped opal + grim to cast windfall.... and lol'd as I re-drew 7 cards and everyone got whatever 7 they happened to have on top =)
I was playing my Olivia Voldaren deck on MTGO. one player was still at 40 life while the other three of us were practically on the ropes at around twenty each, however we all had tons of mana and i had olivia on the board with a few +1/+1 counters on her. I rip Sorin off the top, playing him and dropping the winning player to ten with Sorin's infamous -3, ping his only blocker, making it a vampire then steal it and swing in for exactly ten with my general and a smaller creature. BAM.
Hmmm probably not on par with all the cool shenanigans posted earlier but i managed to wild ricochet a cruel ultimatum turning a certain loss into a win
I hope there was a third player to redirect the original Cruel Ultimatum to.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Man, coming in here and trying to ruin all these stories with your rules.
...and now we know why Rulings made nitpicking an offence punishable by death (though nitpicking is probably justified in this case -- Kicker is a static ability which disqualifies Ana Battlemage from profiting from Muraganda Petroglyphs).
I randomly killed a player in a semi-locked board with a 10/10 flying Inkmoth Nexus equipped with Bonehoard.
I (half tuned Kaalia) beat two opponents (well tuned Zedruu and Rikku) on the same turn with Weathered Wayfarer and a de-powered Serra Ascendant, dealing 1 and 4 points of damage (via Elspeth).
Lived through a random Tunnel Vision, a Relic of Progenitus killing 50+ cards in my graveyard (from the Tunnel Vision), multiple Wraths, multiple Time Spirals, and thwarted two(!) infinite combos from going off (Future Sight + Top, Echo Mage + whatever) with my only two spot removal.
Never thought Kaalia can squeak out a win there, felt good.
Had my most crazy play last weekend, which went like this:
Turn 1: Forest, sol ring, signet
Turn 2: Swamp, gilded lotus, Phyrexian Metamorph for 3 as Gilded Lotus then tap it to evoke Mulldrifter.
Turn 3: Play Garruk Wildspeaker, then untap, then follow up with Green Sun's Zenith for Primeval Titan for 2 lands of my choice.
Funny thing is, I started with one land in hand, had the whole table laughing
I have cabal coffers and lots of lands (including a wasteland), i just played promise of power after killing the board and i now have a 5/5 demon looking to bash and a nearly full hand...
On his turn, My opponent then rezzes something from the graveyard during his upkeep, then proceed to attack with Ionia, shumped blocked by the demon (Yeah he did not draw artefact hate!!).
On my turn, i destroy the world with the disk, cast my general and proceed to rezz Ionia on my side First time i survive with Ionia on the board!! i'm so glad i bought that nevinnyral's disk
of course i won this game
I think it's just a bad play on his part, could've just saved mana to regen Iona when the disk blew up the world.
Hmmm, I know it doesn't seem like it's very smart, but here's a weird play. Animar(me), Ghost council, and a blue player I didn't remember what is, I think it was lorthos
Turn 1: Island, sol ring, signet. Two other people drop land each.
Turn 2: Island, transmute drift of Phantasm. Grabbing a Cloudstone.(Why, I do hate you all, and want to end this). Ghost drops a plains, thinks, and passes. Blue player is primed to counter with more islands, sol ring.
Turn 3: Forest, Animar, play cloudstone. Ghost says drops a small creature tokens with master's call, while still keeping that last white open. Blue player mills me for a fair bit with traumatize, and I have no Eldrazis to save me.
Thinking this is the end for me, I went full blitz. I drew a card, then saw a great opening. Played a morph creature (it's always willbender), reduced the cost. Thinking about it for a bit, with two lands in hand, I played one, then played another morph(chromeshell crab), bouncing the two with cloudstone, I got an infinite animar. Then, I swung at the ghost dad, cause he was getting annoyed with a lack of answers. As he left, I asked him why did he play ghost dad if he saw my Animar. To which he replied, I forgot the protection until I died.
Now, all that's left is the blue player, who is still thinking about bouncing Animar. I passed turn, and he just played a Cryptic command, thinking that he'll be able to gain some tempo by bouncing Animar and drawing a card. I pitched the last card in my hand, tapped a blue and green, and dug thru my graveyard. He looked at me for a second, gave me the worst look, and told me that this was unfair.
Yes, my fellow players, that last card I showed him was none other than.... Glamerdye.

Some friends and I were playing Planechase EDH, and we were at Goldmeadow. I was playing a Thraximundar zombie tribal deck with a Corpse Harvester out, and my opponents were playing an Edric weenies deck and a Tolsimir tokens deck. Basically, everyone had some sort of way to abuse the 3 0/1 Goat tokens we got with every land drop.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. Playing The Mimeoplasm against a Kaalia and a Brion. After I finish killing Brion with a hasty10/10, Kaalia boardwipes to avoid certain death. That is until recast The Mimeoplasm as a hasty10/10, and swing for game.

If you having burn problems I feel bad for you son. I got 99 problems but a bolt ain't one.
Last night thanks to his Concercrated Sphinx and my Dreamborn Muse I had slowly milled my opponents deck to little more then half... Vorneclex on the field and I just drew Geth... I nearly had all my land on the field thanks to a genesis wave and Primevel Titan earlier... I litterly milled my opponents deck all the way... First time I have ever won by milling a edh deck lol...
This part made me lol almost as much as the Glamerdye play. Thanks for the awesome story.
He finally gets some trample ready to be cast next turn, so I know it's my very last chance to do something special before I lose.
And then I spot the Altar of Dementia and Lord of Extinction in Mimeo's bin. Chuckle time.
I love it when I see LoE hit the bin when I'm playing Dralnu. I got a Laboratory Maniac win with that same combo a while back.

[Pr]Jaya | Estrid | A rotating cast of decks built out of my box.
I was mana-screwed, stuck on 4 lands. I have out Repercussion, Adamaro, First to Desire, and a facedown Akroma, Angel of Fury. He has a small army of goblin tokens and I am down to 16, looking at dying in a turn or two.
At the end of his turn, I desperately Chaos Warp my morph, hoping to hit a dragon or at least a land so I can get something going. Any permanent would be nice, really. I shuffle and flip over... Oona > Geth for milling. Oona exiles and doesn't require an Artifact or Creature to prime the pump.
