Why isn't there a decklist section like there is for legacy, extended, and standard.
Because there are people out there who think you should be required to drop $400+ on a single deck before you actually deserve to be treated equally in the magic community. It's ridiculous but there it is. Johnny Moneybags dropped a ton of his dad's money on cards and then competes with people who can't afford the same cards and feels really accomplished when he wins. Those people get sick of losing and form there own format with a lower entry cost barrier and suddenly Johnny Moneybags is just some random schmuck who turns out not to know how to play Magic very well because he's never had much of a challenge competing with people who are at a financial disadvantage.
I currently also play type 2 and I have to say pauper is much more challenging, diverse and skill testing than what currently passes for competitive play in standard. Hasbro doesn't want people knowing that though because then they wouldn't be buying cases of product trying to rip the Jace TMS that are required to play competitive decks in standard.
Why are the temporal fissue deck and the new ramp deck (that placed second in the recent standings) not mentioned? Have they not been around for long enough?
We have to get the Mods to start an official pauper archetypes section, but there probably aren't enough of us to warrant doing that. The guy that started this thread hasn't updated the first post since January 2010.
Ya know there ARE people who work and earn their money to buy those cards themselves. I'd wager there are more of them than there are of the spoiled rich kids.
That being said, it would be awesome to see a complete and updated list of pauper archetypes. I DO have the money to spend on expensive Type 2 cards, but am now looking into other formats. Pauper seems interesting.
@mxm: I would definitely try out pauper if you are looking to get into other formats besides standard. I would say that it is more skill intensive than standard or extended. This is because it is more focused on tight play as you cannot make up for play errors by simply resolving a bomb because there are no game changing bombs in the format.
That said i would say that it is more forgiving than legacy or classic. I play both legacy and puper and enjoy both.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
I'm just getting into Pauper, and am trying out a RW caw-bladish sort of deck. I gotta say, I love the format. It's gameplay is similar to limited, which is my deep homeboy.
Anywhom, I see that WW is an accepted archetype... how do people feel about the caw-go version? Right now I'm running Squadron Hawk, Glint Hawk and its Idol, Accorder Shield/Copper Carapace/Flayer Husk, Tumble Magnet, and some more fliers (I have no Kor Skyfishers yet, but I plan on running a playset.)
I splash red for Bolt, Rally the Forces and Concussive Bolt. The deck itself needs a little ironing, but plays very nicely (GH turn 1 w/ shield, turn 2 w/other equipment, bouncing my Husk/Magnet/Carapace for extra value; etc)
But yes, pauper is awesome and I like it.

Squadron Hawk is huge right now in standard pauper. It looks like all the cards you are running are T2, so I am assuming you are playing standard pauper (a format I love). Kor Skyfisher is a dominant card as well. For tuning that deck, consider running Burst Lightning, Staggershock, and Searing Blaze. All good choices for a burn suite. R/W landfall was a dominant deck for a while, but is falling out of favor because of sideboard hate. It runs Steppe Lynx and Plated Geopede for fast beats. Personally, I think it still is a good deck. I never found the Glints to be very effective, but there is a deck called metalhawk or "hawk smash" that is dedicated to them. Leonin Skyhunter and Kemba's Skyguard are pretty much staples in WW, so if you aren't liking the Glint Hawks, you can try those. Inspired Charge is also another card worth running to give that Squadron of Hawks some more oomph.
Glad to see some people getting into pauper. This thread needs all the love it can get.
So.
I'm in the process of cobbling together a WW Constructed Pauper deck (love love love that I can spend $10 for a viable deck... I've been tossing Koths and BSCs to the side because I hate CStandard so much,) but, here's the Q;
Is there a decent playgroup for Standard Pauper? I'm finding that shots in the dark are not very efficient... do y'all want to set a time to meet up if there isn't already (on MTGO, obv?)
I would love to find a decent tourney, even if it was pseudo- just people throwing down Standard Pauper.
The reason I love this format so much is that it supports ingenuity. I'm tired of "well, here's the winning decks, build 'em." I'm a smart guy, but I find that any other format is pretty well mapped-out; the only other format I play is Limited, but that's expensive as dang to try to do regularly... I'm happy with Constructed Pauper, but I would like to get a playgroup together for some real thought-driven, deck-construction heavy format.
PM me if that seems appropriate. On MTGO I'm JCuff.

Hey guys, I've been away from the format for a while, but interested in diving back in! The biggest question on my mind is whether TwiddleStorm is still a DTB? (The one with Temporal Fissure and Frantic Search and the Familiars?)
It is, but a lot of decks are running LD to prey on Esper Storm and 8-Post control, so it's kind of a crapshoot. Sometimes you'll see several 4-0s and 3-1s, but other times you'll see nothing from it at all.

Is there anyway this thread can be stickied? I am just getting into the format and noticed this great thread further down the first page in the forum. Seems like it would be quite beneficial to other players like myself.

I'd recommend just taking a trip over to pdcmagic.com once in a while. Their frequent updates on tournament standings is a good way to keep up on trends and changes in the format. Checking registered users' profiles is another good way of looking at classic and standard archetypes, both past and present, as well as getting to look at the evolution of certain archetypes during a given season.
Just my two cents, as this seems like a relatively low traffic area on the mtgsalvation boards in general.

Sweet. Thanks guys. Its too bad there aren't too many people interested in the format on this site. I have checked out PDC Magic per your suggestions and it is awesome. I'm already thinking of making a Bant Tokens deck to fiddle around with.
I love the idea of utilizing all the cards I get from my boxes or packs. The rares and uncommons for Standard and EDH play, then the commons for Pauper. No card should be left behind.

Are we talking any color?
There are a ton of ways to hate on empty the warrens. Grapeshot is much harder to hate against, but it is also a harder kill for them.
Prismatic Strands is awesome.
Against bushwhacker, I find fog, holy day and moment's peace to be pretty effective, sure takes the punch out of an alpha strike.
