I'm surprised that no one has yet to post a thread on this deck. Therefore, I take it upon myself to post it, and hope that other users who have more experience with this deck can comment and improve upon what has shown itself to be a strong decklist.
The idea behind this deck is to power out relatively large blue creatures with the help of Cloud of Faeries and Ancient Tomb. This is somewhat life-intensive, but usually you will win so quickly that your life total means next to nothing. Sea Drake turns into a drawback-free flying beatstick with the help of careful wording and a Chrome Mox, as you don't have to bounce two lands if you don't have two lands. Maindecked Chalice of the Void is a hoser against just about anything, and having several lands that tap for more than one mana help set up a lock using that.
Some versions I have seen sideboard Winter Orbs so as to improve the control matchup.
Discuss, people...and have fun with the few blue creatures that are actually worth playing:D

We live in a brave new world, in which the Avatar of Kokusho, Banner of Islands, has posted a mono blue deck
Just kidding AoK
Actually, I do like this deck. It has a lot of potential, as it has already proven.
As for your build though, I think that running eight Equipment cards, four of which are Legendary, is perhaps a bit too much. Perhaps you could run one Pithing Needle maindeck and one Cursed Scroll instead, or anything else that can be fetched by the Mage?

First off there is no real bad verson or good verson yet of Faerie Stompy. Its a deck that you acn't pick up and play right away, it takes so much testing and playing and if its build right to the players style it can be a deadly deadly deck.
Some decks run Vial with mox and other dont. Some run Tricket Mage and other dont. Some run Pysonic Blast and other dont. I personaly have not plaed the deck in the last few weeks but did some testing and know people that are great with the deck.
Lots of individual builds around for this deck, I've dropped the disruption (Chalice otV) to sideboard to fit more Trinket targets and use Fact or Fiction over Thirst for Knowledge - even with innate synergy and one less cc Fact or Fiction just seems stronger in gameplay.
I really recommend ppl test the Zuran Orb, as it's the prime trinket target IMHO. With our ability to hurt ourselves so bad, it comes in handy to win damage races using it.
I'm still using half and half on the Moxes, but no doubt the Diamond is working out better. I don't think we could support 4 however.
Sideboard tech proliferates, keep Arcane Laboratory, Chill and Propaganda handy!
isnt one of FS's main strengths the ability to drop a turn 1 chalice for 1? it disrupts just about every deck in the format, making some of the most commonly played removal unplayable, and it doesnt hurt you. so why would you want to take the chalice out of the main deck?
I'd go down to 1 Faerie Conclave, if not take it out altogether. It seems like you'd never really want to draw 2, it's not that great early game, and is sort of slow.
I also think you might wan 4 Trinket Mage in there because of the little bullet dedication you have for him. He seems quite good in here not to use 4... Is the problem that he's sort of slow for the effort?
And yes, I agree that FS's main power is Chalice of the Void (and in that, Thirst for Knowledge to pitch late game Chrome Moxes and Chalices)

While netdecking and testing VileHorror i thought about Biorhythm. Sure its really expensive, off-color and crappy but still you're always the one with creatures while playing VH. That made me think.

Scrubby metagame makes them a bit worse than usual, if it was nothing but top decks over here they would be back maindeck in a heartbeat. Most opponents around here I just want to race with flying beats, rather than try to disrupt a gameplan which might not even exist.

Cloud of Faeries enables stupid tricks involving your lands that tap for more than one mana. Therefore, it gives you bigger guys faster. It is a staple of this deck.
Looter il-Kor is a thought, though, because if its Mask of Memory-like effect. It has evasion, is cheaply costed, and can wear the equipment as well as any other thing. Don't worry about its inability to block- though against certain Angel Stompy builds, it could kill off Soltari Priests.
I think that Snap might actually have a place in this deck. It doesn nothing against Piledrivers, but wonders against other things...and you can send back your Cloud of Faeries.
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

I know that Cloud of Faeries increases mana production, but it's just not that big of an advantage: If you play Cloud on the second turn with a two-mana-land, you can generate four mana instead of three. Since no spell here actually costs more than three, you will most likely just have produced one "useless" mana, unless you play and equip Jitte that turn, or have multiple Clouds. If you plan to use Cloud on turn three or later to generate two additional mana, I have to say I'd rather drop a Looter turn one/two and one creature per turn later than wait for turn three to drop my hand all at once. Of course, Cloud itself is a "free" 1/1 flyer - but seriously, how much of an impact is that ?
Like you said, CoF is a free flyer, which means it functions as both a mana-fixer/producer, and an equipment carrier. So either he leads to unfair early-turn plays, or becomes an early unstoppable beatstick. It may not be the most powerful offense, but is included for being an incredibly versatile card.
I've been testing this deck, and I love it! I've always liked playing blue aggro decks.
Anywho, does anybody have any suggestions for substitutions for sea drake? The card is very good in the deck, but they are so hard to find, and if you do find them, they are SOOO expensive, and I just have no money for them at the moment. Any suggestions?

Really, there isn't a substitute for the Sea Drakes, sadly ... This is because it's like a cloud of faries, basically. It uses it's ability to gain a retarded amount of mana, plus you get a beat stick.
Sadly, it's god in this deck. God's gonna be hard to find.
I played against a guy who ran Faerie Stompy. In his deck he used Tangle Wire to lock me down while it didn't hurt him as much since he only needed a few lands/creatures to work. Just thought I would bring this up as he won some big tournament with that deck.
i like the list, but i think you should run 3 repeals and 3 psionic blasts.
just my opinion though, or another option to try if you dont want to shell out for blasts is go for mana short and exhaustion.
in a strange way these cards all do similar things for the deck. blasts makes sure that the opponent understand that it is really a 4 turn or less clock. most of the decks in legacy run a few fetch lands.... so they will really be starting out off at 18 or so life. that means you really only need to do 12-15 points of beats with your sea drakes.
mana short and exhaustion maybe free timewalks with free beats.
i don't think masticore would be a good card to add as much as he's a good creature, aggro decks tend to do better without card disadvantage -fow i do agree that regen. is important but there's so many cards that tamper with regeneration masticore isn't worth the deck slots
The deck needs cloud of fairies...especially in the days of hulk flash
accelerating a chalice at 2 is key against that deck
also, acceleration through fairies is half the reason the deck is so good
The original logic behind the build was to maximize the threat density, since overall cuts had to be made in regards of the offensive cards. But you're right, Chalice at 2 gives you a fighting chance in that MU. While acceleration through Faeries is nowhere half the reason the deck is so good (that dubious honor would fall on Chalice of the Void and Trinket Mage), it's still important enough to keep in mind. So yea, I'd probably initially play the Clouds in the Chimeric Idol- and one Juggs-slots.
chalice for 1 and chalice for 2 should be 95% of the decks out there.
chalice for 1 and chalice for 2 should be 95% of the decks out there.
of course, it shuts down solidarity almost and shuts down needles, mages, lackeys, vials, ect... nice deck list though aok i love the revised deck list especially for the fows if you think about it though the drakes aren't very expensive especially if you're looking at vintage cards
The only thing Don't like about my build it my lack of a hand optimizing card. Looter Il-kor, Brainstorm and Thirst for Knowledge are the ones ive been considering lately. Ive tested brainstorm and TFK and i didnt like them so much, i may take out my 2 sea sprites for 2 looters. Sea Sprites and Psi blasts are the only two cards that I dont really see as essential to my list, but psi blast is so good its worth keeping in there. I think the looters shadow and hand optimization will be better that the pro red of the sprite because all that does is kill goblins.
Daze Is a very powerful card in this deck that i thank many people overlook. I frequently will shut down a key spell when my opponent taps out or has no mana (lackey or vial on the play for example). I don't think that 4xForce of Will is enough counters for this deck and FoW can also be hard to play when youve emptied your hand down to a few cards, while daze just requires an island which is almost always available.
As for the chrome mox versus mox diamond debate. I will have to test out mox diamond. Ive used chrome since i picked up the deck, and at least in my build, there arent enough lands for it to always be castable.
