I had out: Thornbite Staff and Boggart Harbinger (which just got Lightning Crafter). He had Sentinels of Glen Endra and was attacking in the air. I play Lightning Crafter championing my binger and auto equip the staff. He untaps, and with 4 blue mana and 2 black mana, he plays Weirding Shaman. Then he asks a good player who was watching the match about a card in his hand. The player carefully states a response so as to not affect the play he will make. He passes the turn. I target Weirding Shaman with the Crafter's bolt, he sacrifices in response. I put trigger on the stack. I off the rest of him team (Sentinels and two Goblins). He then reveals a Fodder Launch in his hand and said, "Crap, I thought it costed two black." PWNED!
Funny enough, if he dealt with the Crafter, I would have harbinged a Moonglove Changeling and that was in SEALED! WOOT!
this happend last weekend at a 4 man draft
2nd turn: leaf gilder
3rd turn: elvish warrior
4th turn: elvish warrior, end of his turn, gilt-leaf ambush
5th turn: elvish promenade
6th turn: distant melodies to draw 10 cards, card advantage much?
Was playing LLM, was sitting on a fairly stalled board, any attacks from either side probably involving bad trades. Neither of us have lethal in a single swing, and the game seems to be going long.
I draw and cast Vigor for my turn, and well, just turn everything sideways, knowing I can't die from the counter and the blocks are all going to be terrible.
He responds with activating his shelldock isle, putting dread into play....
Turn 1: Forest, Virulent sliver
Opp Turn 1: Land
Turn 2: Forest, 2nd and 3rd Virulent sliver, attack for 3 poison counters
Opp Turn 2: Land
Turn 3: Mountain, attack for 9 poison counters, GG.
The guy was even holding a Ghostfire, just in case there was a flashblocker
Hmm, happy remembrance of my Lorwyn sealed deck....
My opponent was sitting back on an easy victory, tapped out but with a small army of Merfolk on the table (thanks to Summon the School). I have 1 Preminant Captain on the field and 1 Leaf Gilder and 7 land open. My life = 3, his life = 18. No cards in hand.
Untap, upkeep, topdeck.
Declare an attack with the Captain, place my bomb rare into play - Chameleon Colossus. Attack with Captain + Colossus activated twice to hit for 18 damage in one turn from 2 creatures...
PWND!!!
I hope your opponent didn't tap his last 4 untapped merfolk to bring back Summon during his turn.
My opponent is on 9 with a Revilark, Black Poplar Shaman, and a Cloudcrown Oak with three counters on it from Hunting Triad, and an Epic Proportions on it. I'm still on twenty with Nightshade Schemers, Latchkey Faerie, Fencer Clique, a lignified Stonybrook Angler, Boggart Harbinger, and Weed-Pruner Poplar. I can't really get in past the lark/treefolk, and he's not willing to attack to put himself in a position where I alpha strike with my fliers. So at the end of his turn I top the clique on my library, proceed to kinship the stingers putting him to 7, and forcing him to attack with his treefolk which gets blocked with the lignified angler, and the clique which gets topped again after damage is stacked. Kinship hits again putting him to 5, and again he attacks with the treefolk this time being blocked with the harbinger, and pruner. At this point I have a choice of topping the clique and hoping my fliers aren't dealt with via my opponent having his Cloudthresher, or go for all three in the air while seeing what my deck gives me. I opt to see what the deck gives me misplaying by forgetting kinship drawing Wyden, the Biting Gale, but he doesn't have any answer to the flyers coming in.
In limited.......I once had two Leaf-Crowned Elders in play during the Morningtide PR with two of the deck's THREE Game-Trail Changelings in play along with ten lands....held back sadly by a Sunrise Sovereign with a +1/+1 counter off that green card (I forget the name) and a Chameleon Colossus as well as a Game-Trail of his own.
Did I mention that one of the rares from the Lorwyn tourney pack was Mirror Entity.
Yeah...big boom for me.
Extended PWNage against me:
During an extended PTQ I played in...my opponent blind Counterbalance'd me.....7 times in a row, and the one time he didn't after that.....Cryptic Command. No, America...I did not win that game.

Don't read anything LaPille. Your brain will thank you later. ----> VICTORY!
Last night. Draft deck playing blue white... down to 3 life, with him at 17 life, me with 6 power of merfolk on the board (and merrow commerce in play, I'd been summoning the school, replaying, and chumping and killing his ground guys, but eventually he got a flyer army up and managed to kill my last flyer (mulldrifter) last turn, and get me down to 3, with now 10 power in flyers tapped after attacking me down to 3.
Empty handed, I have summon the school in the graveyard, and 3 merfolk, 6 power, in play, a 2/1, a 1/1, and a paperfin rascal 2/1 with that +1/+1 all creature type equipment from Lorwyn (I'm terrible with names).
I swing with 3 guys, and I deal 6 damage, play notorious throng with prowl, and make 6 faerie rogues... end of turn merrow commerce untaps my merfolk, and I tap the merfolk & commerce, and bring back summon the school, and take another turn...
And I untap, make 2 more merfolk just for fun, and deal 12 more, hahahaha...
My opponent was so mad... but I lost the next game after mulliganing 3 times. 16 land and I couldn't draw 2 in a hand... But winning that one game was worth it. I had forgotten that I get a free turn when I played it. I was going to chump and race until the computer gave me a new turn! (even without the free turn, I had a decent shot at winning because of that throng.
Swing with Captain, drop Game-Trail Changeling attacking. Opponent blocks the Changeling with something weak (4/4 or lower can't remember). Use both Daggerdares on the Changeling (now 8/8) total power>10, so I activated the Bridge, enchanting the Changeling. 8/8 Trample Double Strike for the kill.
This was round 2 game 3 in a single elimination 8-man LLM draft.
This happened on a draft earlier. I was playing UB Faerie-Rogues, my opponent was playing RG Giants.
My board: 2 Island, 1 Swamp. His board: 1 Mountain, 1 Forest (enchanted with Fertile Ground).
He plays his third land and casts Boldwyr Heavyweights. I chuckle as I search my library and bring out Sower of Temptation, taking his creature. On my turn, I attacked for 10, played a land, and casted Notorious Throng for 10 tokens.
Of course, he gets back at me next game with back to back Thundercloud Shaman, clearing my side of the board for two straight turns. Still, the first game was nearly priceless.
Ive also heard of a rogue player do 32 damage on turn 4, but didnt see it. Apparently multiple stinkdrinker bandits were involved, and his opponent cast some fertile ground and a deathrender, but no guys...
I dealt an ammount of damage that an Opponents life was -33 on turn 5, but on turn 4 it is quite good. I had 2 bandits, Banneret, 1st drop and something more. plus, I even played an inversion to remove a blocker.
He was on 2 on turn 4, I think...
I thought this was funny, Last FNM I was in the finals, this is game 2, and Im playing Mannequin, and hes playing Elves.
He goes turn 1 Treetop Village and passes. I go turn 1 Land, and play Pithing Needle.
Now, instead of naming TTV like I should have, my gut told me to name Garruk Wildspeaker, so I did and he pretty much scoops......He was holding three Garruks in his hand and had no Artifact hate
Now, instead of naming TTV like I should have, my gut told me to name Garruk Wildspeaker, so I did and he pretty much scoops......He was holding three Garruks in his hand and had no Enchantment hate
this happened yesterday at a draft. its m/m/m i go rouges and so does a guy on the opposite side of the table to me. Hes much better than me btw. So after the draft i play him and lose game 1 to a mull. he has moon glove changeling + machine gun combo going game 2 i drop 2 boggart and a frog tosser banneret. i pass he lays a wizard and passes turn with 1 mana up.
I draw see knowledge exploitation and swing. he kill 2 guys and boggart gets through i knowledge exploitation and get notorious throng. then precede to lose. anyway after the game he says that cards crap dont run it.
So game 3 im playing b/u kithkin elves with good cards.
I don't like to brag, but this was probably one of the most cruel things I could have done in a draft:
My opponent's got giants and a Plover Knights and is giving some decent beats, but I'm able to drop two Mulldrifters for enough CA to hold my opponent at bay with removal and ground defense. Eventually he attacks with the Plover Knights and I double-block with my two Mulldrifters.
He casts Surge of Thoughtweft, and ruins my air defense.
So I thanked him and played the Footbottom Feast I was holding onto.
EDIT: Another game I remember, my opening hand has one Swamp, 4 Prickly Boggarts, and 2 5cc spells. I decided to keep. I won without drawing another land.
EDIT 2: My opponent was losing horribly, somewhere around his 6 life to my 22 life. He had four of the 2/1 elementals that kill themselves to deal damage equal to the number of creatures. He then topdecked a Rage Forger. That was pretty painful, and took me down to about 9 life after his attack. I still had the advantage, though, and could win with Profane Command if I topdecked a land. On his next turn, though, he topdecked another Rage Forger.
playing draft I have one card in hand and I'm at two life with a tapped dread in play. My opponent has facevaulter in play then plays spiderwig boggart and sacs it to the face vaulter he just gave fear. I had only 2 turns before said, I'll play it to the end(knowing he was playing red with burn in it).
I have a face of...ironically dread on me. He's at 6 life and swings for four unblockable..not that it mattered.
In response to his declaring attackers... I play this the place was previously almost dead silent.
then he yells out "F*** THIS GAME! I QUIT MAGIC!!!" then the whole place busts in to laughter! never had I smiled that much before! He didn't actually quit he just shock his head and said he hated merfolk(thats what i was playing, which because i play them often I hear that alot)
I played in a limited trios event last summer, so it was TPF. My buddy casted Kaervek the Merciless when his opponent had Phthisis with one suspend counter on it, and was at 7 life, and in the same match, I attack for game, my opponent flipped up Fortune Thief with damage on, and I played Crookclaw Transmuter on Fortune Thief, game!
Eventually he attacks with the Plover Knights and I double-block with my two Mulldrifters.
That seems like an odd play. Had you not noticed the Knights have first strike?

I was pretty happy at the massive card advantage and the fact that I pulled all my bombs with 10 tokens on the board. But then....his turn.
Turn 3(Him): Mountain, Hurly-Burly (Jagged-Scar Archer in my hand cried) PWND!
Turn 4(Me): Lyn Alana Huntmaster
Turn 4(Him): Mountain, Boldwyr Heavyweights (Vigor in my hand cried)
Because I drew out more than half my deck already, the best thing I had left was a Leaf Gilder. He played Lash Out on my Huntmaster, and I died 3 turns later.
You played Vigor right? You had double green and 2 more mana to play Huntmaster. You got green mana #3 with Leaf Gilder. All you need is another land and you're fine.
You just need 1 more creature other than vigor or elf to survive the heavyweights.
That seems like an odd play. Had you not noticed the Knights have first strike?
I guess he wanted both Mulldrifters to die since he had a Footbottom Feast in hand. Anyway, his opponent should probably smell that something is fishy, and not play the Surge of Thoughtweft since his Knigths will survive anyway.
But supposing this is the case he has no reason to expect the double block will achieve this. Even if the opponent's Surge is common knowledge he's likely to be made very suspicious by the double block and won't play it.
