I really like this card a lot, and I just wanted to get some of your feedback on whether or not you think it could fit in a competitive deck? I'm thinking something along the lines of Esper Miracles... she makes it easy to trigger miracles like Temporal Mastery or Entreat the Angels on the opponent's turn, while also allowing you to ditch (loot away) miracles that ended up sticking in your hand that you can't cast at the time.
Then, with her second ability, you can get said miracles back later with her second ability when you have enough mana to hard-cast them.
And not to mention her huge butt that blocks aggro creatures, such as Ash Zealot, for example.
So what do you think? Is this a competitively viable card?
She's nice and being able to draw at instant speed for no mana is always nice. I think she's great for a deck using miracles or maybe a control deck, where you need to be able to draw in response to threats to dig for answers if need be or to grab a card from the exiled pile to be used to save your butt. But I don't think she fits into anything that's trying to be aggro.

Well that is obvious. She has no power.

This aint your girlfriends meta! This is a man's meta! TURBO META.
There isn't a TON of discard in standard but I like that you can separate cards from your hand until you pay the mana to get the card back. You can syphon cards to stay away from hand disruption then get them back when the disruption stops. Sure you take a chance of her dieing and losing those exiled cards but o well.
You should probably never rely on getting back the things you exile since if she dies they're non retrievable, but this is effectively super looting on a more relevant body than a 1/1 so ya. Good card.

"A scrupulous writer, in every sentence that he writes, will ask himself at least four questions, thus: 1. What am I trying to say? 2. What words will express it? 3. What image or idiom will make it clearer? 4. Is this image fresh enough to have an effect? And he will probably ask himself two more: 1. Could I put it more shortly? 2. Have I said anything that is avoidably ugly?"
The broker is too slow and too weak. For 3 mana Nightveil Specter is much better. It has the same 3 toughness, but with the benefits of flying and 2 power, and the potential access to an extra card every turn.
She's a solid looter if you don't care about graveyard shenanigans, but she is really very slow if you plan to ever get the cards back. I don't think she is going to get you anywhere in today's meta.

For the Esper design he's talking about the Specter wouldn't really fit, while its a good card, it doesn't fit here

Agreed, but the broker doesn't work here either, it's just a bad card.
So bad in fact, that the specter would yield more wins swapping out one for the other.
They are completely different cards so great comparison.
Yes, completely different colors, completely different CMC, neither one aims for card advantage. They don't compete for the same slot at all, I have no idea what I was thinking.

They have completely different toughness you sillyhead.
In limited this card is the bomb especially if you have 3+ colors and no mana available or draw lands.
In constructed this card is a costly looter. Typical looters allow you to discard at the same time and since esper and other builds use snapcaster mage, the loss is trivial. This card however does not give you that advantage; in fact, if you lose the looter, that card you might have wanted to keep for the long term does not exist anymore.
Her 3 toughness doesn't help in a world of searing spears and against RDW.
In an esper miracle build, sure, she could work. But I want to ask you at the same time: why would you run a miracle deck where the only 2 good miracles are EtA and TM? In my experience, miracle decks are extremely inconsistent. Grixis would be more proficient than Esper in that regards and it already has a looter (Desolate lighthouse).

I like the card, but here is the problem, she comes down a turn before you want to sweep. Against aggro, your answer is almost always Supreme Verdict, so even in an esper build, she often will draw you a card, exile a card, and sweep. Doesn't seem too great. Think Twice is just a better option.
3 toughness is not a lot for 3 mana. An aggro deck's 3-drop will usually have 3 power. Then you have to wait a turn before she does anything. If it had haste, maybe. As it stands, it's way too slow.
I sleeved this ho up and ran a few test matches vs. naya midrange... I'm sad to report that she's pretty useless. I almost never played her on turn three due to having better plays (Detention Sphere, Azorius Charm on their attacker, etc.) or needing to dig for answers by using draw spells like Think Twice.
Most of the time that I got her out, she would loot for one card and then die... either from me being forced to block or just getting Dreadbore'd since I really didn't have a lot of targets for removal anyway.
Overall, I'd say she doesn't fit, even in this deck that was probably the best case scenario for her.
I guess this thread has pretty much decided that she is bad but I run her as a two of in a U/B control deck that actually runs a fair amount of other creatures. It seems silly to use a counterspell to protect her but using her to draw a card at the end of your opponents turn is pretty good. I would agree that most of the time you shouldn't count on getting your exiled card back. She's best in the late game to filter away additional lands. I don't think she's stellar but I do like her.

I have nothing meaningful to contribute to this discussion except my friend and I did not get one of her out of two boxes, a fat pack and two prerelease packages...
Quick rules question; is it possible to cast Misthollow Griffin while exiled face-down in this way? Not that it's playable or anything, but I'm curious.

Yes, you may cast the griffin from exile. I doubt though this will break either card.
I wanted to open up some discussion about Bane Alley Broker.

About the card, if she blocks for a turn and maybe filters a land or draws a card, I think that's pretty good.
Actually you still can. The only reason you exile them face down is so that it is still unknow to your opponents WHAT exactly you exiled.

So basically, no, you cannot.
