If nothing else, this guy will be a house in limited.
Which is the only reason it's a mythic.
It's not the worst card previewed so far but I don't think it will see much play simply because of the triple G and it does still die to dismember/volley.

"Undying"
Yeah sure it dies to TWO Dismembers, and TWO buffed up Brimstone Volleys.
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.
Yeah sure it dies to TWO Dismembers, and TWO buffed up Brimstone Volleys.
"lawl dis crd is bad cuz it die 2 2 kilspellz."
Last time I checked there were any number of ways to kill a creature in standard. Undying doesn't make this card good, it still ends up with 5 toughness which is within range of Volley and Dismember.

Wait, are you honestly arguing that a creature requiring two different burn spells to kill (possibly hitting yourself for 8 in the process) isn't relevant?
"Hey guys, what do you think about Wurmcoil Engine?"
"It sucks. It dies to four Dismembers."
Or should I be approaching this another way? You think he's bad because he has 4 toughness, then you kill him with Dismember/Volley and he has 5 toughness, so you kill him again with Dismember/Volley. And this is somehow worse than something with 6 in the back, in which case you hit him with Dismember/Volley, and then he dies to Gut Shot?
Everyone said that about Skaab Ruinator as well and from memory I don't think it showed up in any winning decklists.
I think if skaab ruinator had been 2U or 1GG it would show up a lot more. Blue is your splash colour in pod, so 1UU is awkward and often uncastable. This card, by contrast, is in your central colour.
I like this card a lot in pod. The other good five drops are more utility/defense, whereas this is something you use to kill the other guy fast. I also like the fact that the 6/5 after it has died once trades with a titan.
Finally, lol at the people who think dismember is in any way a good answer to this card. Rather than let me deal you damage with my guy, you'll take 8 and discard two cards to get rid of it?? Fine by me. Oblivion ring and vapor snag may be annoying though, and for that reason I agree with whoever it was that said that a general deck will probably prefer garruk, primal hunter.
Also, it doesn't feel mythic at all flavor-wise. They should have at least given it a better name.
I'm glad someone else felt the name was a little weird. Maybe it's just me, but a mythic creature whose name means "eatfoot" just doesn't seem quite right...

Obviously it eats peoples feet.
Or maybe it's feet eat people?
triple green seems a little steep for the card... people keep saying Wolf Run wants this... why? Where does WRR's gameplan benefit from this?
I think this card will be good in a mono green build. the triple green is much for a WRR build too I think, but I think Mono green could be making a come back here

...Because it deals damage? Sorry, I just don't see why you wouldn't run this in Wolf Run. I guess if you absolutely can't afford to cut a Garruk, Primal Hunter...

It doesn't belong in Wolf Run because it doesn't further the purpose of the deck. Everything in Wolf Run is support for "Wolf Run will pump something that will kill you". Vorapede does not support that in any way. Birds ramp and add to the mana pool, Emissary is a speed bump against RDW, Rampant Growth is ramp, Acidic Slime takes care of enemy road blocks or fast clocks, Solemn is card advantage, and finally Primeval Titan brings the package together if it isn't already and seals the deal.
Everything in Wolf Run has a purpose. For a card to make it into that deck it needs to do a certain job better, maybe even strictly better. There are many kinds of Wolf Run, but they generally sit on one shell: Emissary, Solemn, Rampant Growth, Primeval Titan, +3-6otherstaples. Nothing is going to add to that deck unless it can out class something we've seen. Vorapede just does not do anything but be an efficient beater. We have Wurmcoil for that. Want highest damage per turn? Grave Titan. Most board removal plus a body? Inferno Titan. And so on... It's what the deck does.
Vorapede will not change Wolf Run.
It could easily add to other decks. I'm not saying it's bad, not in the least! It'll make some deck builder happy he ran Green. Hell, I'll find a place for it. Maybe post rotation, but I'll do it eventually.
I hope Mono Green makes a showing... I already played Mono Green when Innistrad was first legal; was fun, very willing to do it again.
And to be honest, the way some of these decks ramp, Garruk doesn't fit the right drops. Playing a Solemn means you have 4 mana and often times you drop a 6th land to play a Titan the next turn. Where does that leave Garruk? Off in... not appreciated 5 drop land if you ask me. Relentless seems more fitting, but I'd rather play a Solemn then ramp into a Titan than make my 2/2 wolf... Another forgotten drop that I wonder why I played. They are good cards! They just feel awkward because they don't curve right. So in a way neither Garruk or Vorapede fit Wolf Run. (Garruk is drop, then immediately -3 for 6 cards in my deck; almost always.)
I'm glad someone else felt the name was a little weird. Maybe it's just me, but a mythic creature whose name means "eatfoot" just doesn't seem quite right...
Yeah, Vorapede just sounds like "bigass bug monster" in nerd-speak. They could've given that name to any junk common in Zendikar.
