Well that would certainly end the game, just not in your favor.
Seriously in black you use vapors and in white you play day, both can trade with wurmcoil. If none of these options are available your probably going to die.
If they were playing Baneslayer Angel, then most likely they were playing white and could also play the aforementioned Day of Judgement. For that matter, in a metalcraft deck you could Dispense Justice it away.
like, people realize it has 5 defence right? It trades with every Titan, gets owned by baneslayer, or even a plated geopede via landfall. People realize its just bad SB tech agaisnt control right? I dont even know why they are afraid of this card, shouldnt proper play/block with one of your finishers kill this guy off? They even bring in Mindbreak trap against this guy.
I don't think it's good at all, I've been wrong before though :S
The real strength of gaea's revenge is how fast it can come down being in green, and that the gaea's player only has to remove your big guys to win the game.
That being said the 5 toughness is very sissy and the finishers of any deck should trade easily. If you're control you should also be in a position to mana leak their journey to nowhere's or vines of vastwood.

Good plan. Mana leak on journey to nowhere or vines of vastwood is going to do a ton when they're at 7 mana for the titan...
Gaea comes in vs control.
Its a big problem for U/b and even u/w if they dont have a baneslayer out.(becoming less and less popular of a card to run)
The haste is huge.
Its boom 8 uncounterable to the face fairly often and fairly fast b/c its run in a ramp deck.

You maybe forgetting the tiny fact that green is the color of choice to ramp its not unheard of in green to drop a 7 mana creature on turn 4/5. Sure he dies to BSA, a lot of creatures do but you dont stop running a particular creature because another one beats it.
Its great against control because it has haste, it cant be countered, and Condemn cant hit it.... And yet youre all saying that its a terrible creature because of 5 power....
Why dont we just make Revenge a Legendary creature and when you cast him you take an extra turn, has flying, along with everything else he has. and lets give him trample because most good green creatures have it... /Sarcasm

AnyTitan. Tokens. anything at all really it doesn't have trample and that hinders it greatly .
That's a good idea except for one minor detail:

Vapors/gatekeeper/wurmcoil/percy/chump are usually the better ways to go

You play your titan. They play their gaea's. You are looking at a trade.
The way the gaea's player will avoid this trade is to JtN your titan (or wurmcoil) or vines his gaea's. Your out in either scenario is a counterspell.

The card is just not that great. If you disagree, do so civilly. There's no need to get hurt and lash out because someone, somewhere disagrees.
