Alright, so while I do enjoy playing in the current format and all, the regulars at my FNM are always playing the same decks(except one guy, really). So I want to shake things up on them for a bit. I want to build a deck that will have game against each and every one of them, and a perfect SB for them/any new comers as well. Here's the data I've compiled of them:
There's our primary core, of course there's others who turn up from time to time. But I can't predict them because they aren't there frequently enough with the same decks. So help me out guys, I want to make a deck that can hose all of this. I really want to hear the suggestions this project can bring(and it looks like fun to brew a specific meta-shattering deck).
Grixis Control with maindeck Flashfreeze looks pretty good against your 50% green-40% red-40% combination of both meta. The maindeck Earthquakes will take care of all of the weenie/token decks.
Also looks like Jacerator will have a good matchup in this aggro-heavy format(also would maindeck Flashfreeze).
Ooh, thanks, I just ordered a lot of that mono-white stuff for Sovereign Control, so I have everything but the Emeria Angels and Conqueror's Pledges. And the Cruel Control deck I lack the Drowned Catacombs, Scalding Tarns, and 2 Cruel Ultimatums, but have everything else. I'm gonna have to try these out.
If I were you I would take a look at red deck wins or the bloodquake thread. With only a few control decks every once and a while a more aggro deck might play out better. Also seeing the Jund match up as much as you would with your small meta i would try to stay away form decks with enchantments or tokens. Hope that was helpful good luck
how about Runeflare Combo, with Spell Pierce instead of time warp. to stop those Jund players in there tracks. I run Runelare and with spell pierce mainbaord it does something like 60/40 against jund. As you ONLY counter the pulse.

Hmm...this build has intrigued me for quite a long time...
It's good enough to beat spread' em, and jund if you run counters MB, This deck is good enough to win FNM which makes it playable
Awesome, do you have a list I could look at? I've been looking for something good to use on MTGO for Standard as well that won't cost me an arm and a leg.
Guy 1: W Conqueror's Pledge or UW Shroud Control
Guy 2: B Vampire Combo(Sanguine Bond+Blood Tribute)
Guy 3:RG Goblins+Beastmaster Ascension
Guy 4: Jund
Guy 5: Always different.
Guy 6: WUG Bant Control(with Rafiq of the Many+Baneslayer Angel)
Guy 7: Jund(This guy always plays some combination of BG though).
Guy 8: RG Nissa Revane Aggro
Guy 9: B Vampire Control/MBC(I've seen Mind Sludge, Ob-Nixilis, the Fallen, Duress, and other Vampire staples. Haven't actually played him yet).
Guy 10: WG Tokens

Thanks in advance, I appreciate it.
