Complaining about card prices accomplishes nothing. Read some Medina articles, learn to trade better, don’t act like the only way to do ANYTHING in this game is to price out decks and buy every single you ever need.
It's actually pretty bad lol. Add instant speed to it and it would be decent.
Yeah it seems pretty bad.
Probably just a really good player, got good matchups, and good draws.

Being a 1-of, it's likely a late game draw that can help slide your life back up a bit and net you two cards. As it is I wager it's perfectly fine, but I doubt I would run more than 1.
And there might be some odd choices, but these are the people who innovate and find new tech, so I have to give kudos whenever they take a card others regard as useless and manage to find a use for them in real stiff competition. It's nice to see in an otherwise predictable Top 8.

i was there watching and the player playing UW is awful.
at one point the elf player had monument out and attacked with a 6/7 nissa's chosen that would kill the UW player.
he blocks with one baneslayer angel.
which is fine.
except he had 3 out.
wtf.
Not sure who you are but not very cool to be trashing another player when I am assuming you didn't top 8 in the same tournament. But, that is just my humble opinion; not trying to internet fight.
#5 checking in; great job running the tournament it was smooth and quick.
everyone in the top 8 was terrible except ron, rick, and chris. play mistakes all around. they were really really bad, and for the most part you can just ignore these lists. this event was less like a PTQ and more like a big FNM. the guy who won was REALLLLLY bad, i would know because he sometimes plays FNM at my store and can't even win there. he just got very lucky that day.
i'm not trashing anyone, i'm simply stating the truth - they were mostly pretty bad players and just saying that you shouldn't really take stock in these lists.
worlds just happened a couple of days ago, why aren't you paying attention to that?

Kiss of the Amesha is a good card. It is highly underrated in a format with mediocre draw in the first place. Divination? Reckless Scholar? Jace Beleran and courier's capsule are the only quality draw in standard at the moment without a black splash for something like Esper Charm. Kiss is probably runner up.

Not really anything positive for me though, being a control player who dislikes white...

^ This. In testing Kiss was pretty strong as a 1-2 of, as well as mind control. I'm glad he top 8'd
I really like the Esper colored control deck, I think I might steal it for the next tournament
I'm also loving the changes to the Eldrazi Deck, very intersting.
Good job to all those who played and organized =)
he didnt want to lose another baneslayer to vines... I dont know the situation there and if the risk is worth 10 more life.
In all seriousness, control should have ran 4 Negates. Wish I could have been there.

UW deck is fun to look at. It's nice to see something not Jund or Boros... Or Eldrazi.
