I do not like scythe tiger in this deck. It sets you back, and if you're on the draw, it's too easy for your opponent to drop a 2cmc 2 power first striker that just means you're a land short and can't even trade. You have to hope your creature gets pathed just to get back to par >.<

For those scientifically inclined, check this out. Some interesting points for you to consider.
Something like this is what I will suggest, I guess.
And anandail, Scythe can't even be pathed...
I'd say this guy's take on it is a bit more useful. The Hindering Lights are ONLY for protecting you, whereas you SHOULD be protecting your creatures from a well-placed board-sweeper, thus Negate. Vines would only be used on their creatures for tricks, thus Negate. Therefore, Negate > Hindering Light.
Other than that, it looks pretty lulzy. Vampires will be like "ZOMG I CARN'T REMOVAL!" Unless they play Gatekeepers. Though I'd play something beefy like Kalonian Behemoth and something like Stormcaller's Boon for cascade + alpha strikes. Nothing like flying 9/9's you can't get rid of to scare your opponents.
The one weakness I see so far is that your creatures are too defensive. Your creatures that CAN attack have no evasion, so they're pretty much dead (aside from the Deft Duelist that can survive until she's up against a beefy body). If anything, I'd play some Ardent Pleas for your attackers (because I can only assume you won't attack with the creatures that have evasion. Plus, the cascade ability will benefit you by possibly dropping another body onto the field or even cascading into a Path.
Actually I did forget about Kalonian Behemoth. Its biggest weakness is probably a lack of evasion (something which could be fixed by Garruk's ultimate).
Probably the only problem I foresee is Malakir Bloodwitch with our lack of removals and we can't always depend on Sphinx or Archangel making an appearance. Guess for this, Winged Coatl could be worked in as a SB card to stop a opposite Sphinx/Kalonian Behemoth/Malakir Bloodwitch.
With some cel purge in the board and 2x hindering light, just for blightning.
The huge problem that I have with this is the limited amount of card draw. It probably needs more jace, but cards like deft duelist give you so much value on the board that its possible to get a lot of hand going by just not over-extending.
4 Scythe Tiger
3 Naya Hushblade
3 Deft Duelist
2 Sphinx of Jwar Isle
1 Empyrial Archangel
1 Elspeth, Knight-Errant
1 Garruk Wildspeaker
4 Bant Charm
4 Path to Exile
3 Vines of Vastwood
3 Hindering Light
2 Trace of Abundance
1 Clarion Ultimatum
Thoughts?
I disagree on Hindering Light - stops Cruel Ultimatum. Vines is kinda meh - I guess you could cast it on their dudes for a random trick?
Perhaps Fog in its place?

Negate should be worked in, if only for the sweepers. And you can cut the Clarion, I see no purpose. Scythe too, sets you back too much.
4 Naya Hushblade
4 Deft Duelist
3 Sphinx of Jwar Isle
1 Empyrial Archangel
2 Garruk Wildspeaker
4 Bant Charm
4 Oblivion Ring
4 Hindering Light
4 Negate
4 Glacial Fortress
4 Sunpetal Grove
5 Plains
2 Forest
5 Island

I do like Ardent Plea, even with the negate nonbo.

Ardent Plea, if only for the Flying, is viable. Working off of your list, perhaps one in the place of a single Oblivion Ring?

>.<. Seriously, it's not a competitive card.
