I've been attempting to find a list for the Naya Zooish deck that Van Lunen ran at Nationals, and keep coming up with blanks. Is there anyone that could help out on this search?
See, that's the problem, he placed 9th due to a poor draft. He's got a feature match, but it was a blow-out the wrong direction so I can't piece it from there.
I remember from watching a game or two that he also had Bloodbraid Elf, Path to Exile, and Lightning Bolt in the main, and Ethersworn Canonist & Forge Tender on the board. I can reverse engineer the list, but it's not what I'd like to do, I'm extremely prone to missing obvious things.
Edit: Like Fallout in the Main, along with Wild Nacatl, I remember those 2 as well. Maybe this isn't terribly hard to reverse engineer.
I would imagine he would have fallouts in that list. All his creatures besides the bloodbraid elf have the potential to live through a fallout. His figure can make it as a 4/4 and his wild guy can make it as a 3/3. Bloodbraiding into a path against a 5cc deck just seems weak in the early stages of the game. A late game seems nice. But fallout and stag increases your odds againt Fae and I cant see him going into an event like nationals and not having it.
Ya the name, Naya Solution, leads me to believe he was playing MD Fallout. Was he really playing Wild Nacatl? It seems kind of hard to play 3 colors with enough mountains and plains to make the card good.

Yes he was. I remember the mana base was about half basics, mostly mountains and plains, M10 duals, and 4-5 Hybrids that made green. He had MD fallout, that's for sure.
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.

I was thinking about this but is it worth losing the turn 1 path, lightning bolt or turn 1 wild?
I have zero knowledge about this deck so Im not to sure how important a turn 1 wild is. But have the turn 1 bolt or path seems decent to me.
Obviously only a bad player would actually keep a hand with only Terramorphic Expanse in the hand as their starting mana, so no it shouldn't hurt turn 1 plays.
I pray he ran Protean Hydra and Forge-Tender as 1-ofs MD. If not, I'd suggest that people test them as such over some of the more questionable MD choices.
i doubt he was playing hydra at all. your X spell of choice should be bane fire and honestly i wouldnt even run it. bane fire rarely gets in there and cascading into it is just horrible
Nah playing the hydra sound just soooo terrible when you are playing Bloodbraid Elf... ok playing Hydra sound just soooo terrible whatever you are playing, sure it's a funny little tech but paying 2 for a 1/1, 3 for a 2/2, 4 for a 3/3, 5 for a 4/4 seem just terribad
Edit: dang, apparently it is not up there. Umm... try wizard's site? Maybe they have decklists up?

He said this in an article here.

I am a complete moron, awesome, didn't even see that there.
4x Terramorphic Expanse makes it alot easier.

Turn 1 Path? Why would you do that?
Terramorphics seem amazing to set up the Grove/Crags.
t2 Pump Figure, Expanse for whatever---
Seems ok to me.

This has been established.
Was he really playing Protean Hydra? Seems like an odd choice to me.
