If you read these reactions objectively, you can understand why Wotc takes its time in changing things. For as many who are happy, there are those just as upset. Its a no win situation for Wotc. Now they get to see if its a zero sum change.

You are right about this. I personally view this as a good thing. I just don't think that DRS needed to be banned.

Thanks for stating the obvious there bocephus.

If you couldn't tell I hate greedy blue decks.
This is the best update i have seen in recent years. People who can stand to sit across from a DRS can rest assured can easily handle BB. Ms kitty is another story. With Zoo being a thing again the Fae decklist wont be at all what i invisioned, and this is a very good thing. Cheers guys, this is a victory for us all.

Mhjames: mtgsalvation: I DON'T SEE HOW THIS CARD IS GOOD. I KNOW PATRICK CHAPIN USED IT AND WENT 8-0, BUT THAT WAS A SMALL TOURNAMENT. THE CARD IS TOO SLOW. YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THE OPPONENT HAS A SPELL IN THE GRAVEYARD
Knight of the Reliquary could make a potential comeback with DRS gone. KotR is one of my favorite creatures of all time and DRS completely pushed it out of Modern by making her permanently a 2/2. Yeah I know Scavenging Ooze is a thing, but Scooze doesn't see even close to the same amount of play that DRS was having.
The BB unban is... eh. It seems like everyone and their mother is going to playing Faeries now, but I'll be reading and waiting for the Faeries orgy.
Not a fan of the Nacatl unban. How is Wizards supposed to introduce additional 1 drops that can compete with an unconditional 3/3 for G?
I'm wishy-washy regarding the DRS banning, but the unbanning of nacatl and BB are definite positives in my mind.
Anyone complaining is missing the forest for the trees, in my opinion. The banlist is now shorter, and the format just gained two new potentially viable decks, weeks before a PT. GBx decks will still be tier 1. It all sounds good to me.
I got what I wanted tonight (except now I can't buy Bitterblossoms by selling Deathrites straight up. I hope the price on Shaman doesn't tank too much)
Countermagic is the smell before rain, the sun on the horizon and the chocolate chips in my mint chocolate chip ice cream. It's the first time I saw a woman naked and the first time I smelled perfume. It's that feeling you get when you know you're right.
But most of all; it's the feeling of playing Magic
At least DRS is still legal in standard for people wanting to unload them.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
Go to my blog, Musings of the False God, for in-depth guides playing the game, from the building blocks of deck design to deceiving your opponent through clever game play!
You may also know me as the guy in the art of Dark Confidant. No, not Bob Maher, the OTHER one.
The DRS ban is easier to swallow when you acknowledge it's being a nerf ban against Jund/GBx much in the vein of Wild Nacatl getting shorted up until now.
after the banning of DRS and unbanning of bitterblossom, there are officially 3 listing for bitterblossom for $30+ USD
looking at the price history, there seems to have been a buyout between the 21st and the 22nd.
dont get me wrong, Bitterblossom is a great card, and now that its unbanned, such frenzy ensues. speculators ruin the game for players once again. Just take my wallet you *******s.
Bitterblossom = Idk I feel with DRS off the list. Abrupt Decay just got a whole lot less played.
DRS Ban = OH MY GOD THANK YOU. Graveyard strategies might have a chance again with BG getting a hit. That card was just too good.
Commence the laughing!
Happy brewing anyone who is going to the PT.

Read the posts since the announcement. I am willing to bet those either real mad or real glad didnt see it.
It will be interesting to see the effects.
Hey, as long as we get 2 new unbans for every ban the list will shrink considerably in no time
You may also know me as the guy in the art of Dark Confidant. No, not Bob Maher, the OTHER one.
Think on the bright side ken, Breaking Bad might be able to compete now. And with less BGx, we can go back to trying out Possibility Storm.
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
On one hand, we lost a creature that turns fetches into mana
On the other hand, Zoo needs fetches to turn nacatl on by turn 2
I guess they will stay the same
