Even in a non-cutthroat meta playing multiple spells per turn is still a good plan and that requires your spells to be cheap.
Again I'm not dismissing Deglamer or saying it's bad, running it alongside Nature's Claim is perfectly fine! Running it over Nature's Claim if it's better suited to your meta is fine too! Just for me, if I was building a deck for a random meta (which I do quite often on MTGO) I would pick Nature's Claim over Deglamer because I feel that, everything considered, it's the better card. If I'm monogreen I wouldn't run either as they aren't accessible and a bit too narrow.
I would however like to point out that Exploration is currently the third most voted card with 3 votes, which is a little bit scary to me. The top 2 (Vernal Bloom and Praetor's Counsel) seem obvious, but how the hell do people think Exploration is one of the worst cards on the list?!? Also 2 votes for Birthing Pod? Maybe these are the same people who voted to have Eternal Witness removed a few weeks ago.

I dont think its terrible in comparison to things we have been cutting but given the options and the other things that are getting some votes it was the one I felt the least necessary to be on the list (beyond the two that are obviously making their way to the block).

I can completely get behind this. G Wave costs a billion mana.
Agreed. It either wins the game via crazy Elf or Omnath mana or, more often, does next to nothing while tapping you out (In R/G Wort or Riku it's pretty good too).
Voting for Exploration is just nutty.
But yeah, that's a pretty tight list.
With all the talk about card X costing too much -- for a colour that specialises in mana ramp no less -- one might be thinking that there is some mana shortage somewhere I mean, I understand that cost efficiency is the "in" thing right now but I think we should balance cost efficiency concerns with impact. Efficiency can only get you so far. True, it may be the little cards like Cultivate and Sakura-Tribe Elder that carries you to eventual victory but I think there is a massive underplaying of bombs in the top 50 list (or *cough* removal spells that costs two mana instead of the much cheaper one mana *cough*).
Green is a colour that rocks in mana ramp but you will probably want something to, you know, ramp into and Genesis Wave is one of the better candidate with a nice impact on board; It is a big splashy spell that, more often than not, delivers in most decks (assuming you are running a fair amount of permanents. Maths here). It may not be that awesome in some decks but the same is true of most of the other cards in the Top 50 list -- Academy Rector, Bloodghast (and heck, even Imperial Recruiter and Loyal Retainers).
Just defending one of my more favourite spell
A replacement should be Kodamas Reach/ Cultivate. A less obvious submission is Skyshroud Claim and Garruk, Primal Hunter
Claim ramps lies crazy, fetches duals, and provides them untapped.
Garruk makes consistent tokens and draws you lots of cards. I don't expect this card to make it, but I feel like someone should at least mention it.
Earthcraft is stupid good. I don't think it's really that niche, it feels broken with tokens and it's still amazing even if you only have a couple utility creatures out. I think it needs to stay on the list.
EDIT: Someone voted for Sylvan Library.......wth
I'd rather see Nature's Lore or Three Visits added than Kodama's Reach or Cultivate. Fetching duals and putting them into play untapped is pretty awesome.
@fzian: Maybe you should take something for that cold of yours.:p
GGG [Primer] Omnath, Big Green Beatstick Machine GGG
I agree. I love it too. The only real weakness of it is that if it gets countered, you most likely lose your turn. I like it, because in my saffi deck I'm fine casting it for 4 or 400. Like Fzian says it's nice to have something to ramp into. Sometimes I can get a ton of mana in the late game, with nothing to do with it until I topdeck a g-wave. I have other bombs too, but g-wave can be useful at 3 or 4 or for a big value provided your curve is low enough.
On the debate of deglamer vs nature's claim, claim is generally better. Deglamer is similar to naturalize, except it can tuck indestructible generals and get rid of indestructible artifacts/enchantments. Personally I don't run into indestructible thins very often, so more often then not deglamer is basically naturalize. Naturalize vs nature's claim shouldn't be a debate.
My Saffi deck
Thank you for defining narrow?
If it requires one specific general in a game to be better than claim, then that is a narrow circumstance.
honestly I use both.
My Saffi deck
I'm not even sure what you mean by that...
Anyways, I run deglamer and love it, but running it specifically because someone might own a Purphoros deck is what I would consider a narrow justification for something.
I wish I wouldn't have voted as early, as mine feels wasted on Vernal Bloom now.
Niv-Mizzet Ramp 'n' Wheel
Godo: Strap him up and turn him sideways!
I do have some upper respiratory tract infection today On the bright side, sick leave?
I found klducks argument to be quite persuasive; I really should have spotted Earthcraft and voted against it :/

Derp. It was supposed to be an auto-include in place of Primeval Titan, but that swap was missed. Thanks for the catch.

I voted for Deglamer if for no other reason because before the gods came along I wouldn't have really considered running it. I like the gods but I think its somewhat of just a new shiny sort of impulse to play them everywhere possible.
