About that midrangy aspect of the hydra deck, I've been wanting to do something similar for a long time with timbermaw larva and traproot kami. Both would seem crazy good in a midrange based monogreen.
right now I feel like Inspired + Heroic + t + untap is something I would like to build.
It may be too much, but I really want those to work together :/
I can't believe I didn't catch that. I always forget that Tempest set didn't have rarity colors, so I didn't notice.
Exodus started using rarity colors, if I'm not mistaken. And Auratog was made an uncommon in Time Spiral. But, those gold colored Togs listed above work.

Auratog was a rare in Tempest and a "Special" in Time Spiral. It technically had no official common or uncommon printing.
The card was just a reprint of the original Tempest card and was added to the Time Spiral set as a "Timeshifted" card. Even though the card replaced a common card in the booster pack it was not considered common or uncommon.
So in short, the card is not legal for either paper Pauper or Peasant formats.
I could see servant of tymaret actually finding a place in a MBC deck. It's got good blocking stats and a useful ability. Given that when a creature actually does regenerate it becomes tapped the ability can be relevant even on the defensive side, and if they don't have anything that needs blocking he can get some chip damage/lifegain through. He wouldn't fit in most MBC decks, but in a rare few I think he would be pretty decent.
Mortal's Resolve might have some sideboard use in monogreen infect.
Nyxborn Wolf has just the right stats to be a fringe include in some stompy variants. I do want to make sure that the word fringe is noted, as most stompy decks will want nothing to do with it, especially the low land count versions. But versions that run ~20 lands can get some decent value from it.
Scouring Sand should not be written off entirely, Burn generally has very little interaction in the combat step, and generally just wants a creature dead, without needing anything fancy. In a burn sideboard you could get some value from replacing electrickery with it, because the value of not drawing land in burn is VERY HIGH. Versions that use kiln fiend, or other such dudes need not apply as they definetly get more value out of the instant speed, but in creatureless or very low creature count versions the difference between sorcery and instant is less pronounced. Electrickery is better most of the time, and the value of scry 1 is fairly low when you factor in both the instant speed and modularity of electrickery, but it is a closer balance than it looks at first go.
