It's now day 15 of 7-10 days. I sent another email yesterday, still yet to hear a single thing back. I'm sending another email to cancel the order right now. If my money isn't refunded immediately, I'll contest through my credit card.

just go straight to your credit card. these people are crooks, don't even bother with them if you ask me. i submitted a claim through my credit card online and got my money back in less than 24 hours.
also, if you go through them and they refund you, there's no consequence for them. if enough people go through their credit cards, the credit card companies might actually pursue these *******s and charge them in court.

just my two cents.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll do that.

I have had zero luck through phone or email. The only communication method through which I got a reply was their online form.

I got my first email reply like that, and I replied by email to that reply and got a second reply, but nothing since then. It's been disputed by my credit card now anyhow.
I think the title of this thread should be changed to reflect that no one should preorder anything from EVO Games, due to their repeated shady business practice.

Wow, I preordered a pair of sets from these guys too, didn't see it after a few days and immediately emailed to cancel. Took a week for my credit card to be credited. Thought it was a trek thing with bad weather and all and come to find out they are big time dbags. Lesson learned.
Chargebacks are your best weapon against shady merchants. Not only do they virtually guarantee your money back in situations like this, but if a merchant is hit with a high percentage of chargebacks, it can get them in hot water with the banks. It's like having a 6'8" tough looking biker dude to go ask for your money back.
As much as I would like to just process a chargeback and look elsewhere, I'm unable to find the decks locally without massive markups in gaming stores. I think I'll eventually get my decks, it just may take another few weeks. I'm willing to keep fighting EVO for updates.
The last email said their 2nd wave of shipments was expected Nov 25-30th. I emailed again today for an update, we'll see what happens.

In the same boat. Had a chance to buy them for $150 and should have done it. I am a fool! If I can find one at the PTQ this weekend, I will just spring and Chargeback.

Expect the Grixis deck to be above MSRP, and possibly the Esper/Bant ones as well.

After a couple of unanswered voicemails, emails, and even a message to one of the owners on Facebook, I'm done with these guys. I started a dispute with AmEx today.
They're shady, unresponsive and irresponsible. I hope they lose their merchant accounts and go out of business.
I'm in the same boat as the rest of you guys. The BBB investigation into my order should be finished this week. If the results of that investigation aren't positive (and I'm guessing they won't be), I'm starting a chargeback as well.
I'd encourage everyone who hasn't already to do two things:
1) Report them to the Better Business Bureau. This is fairly obvious, but seriously, take 15 minutes to do it. Include as much specific info as you can (dates, order confirmation numbers, any email correspondence with the store) in your initial complaint, and be absolutely truthful. The BBB can't really turn up the heat on these guys if they don't have the full story, and the more your story checks out with everyone else's, the worse it looks for the store. Don't let the store owners weasel their way out of consequences just because you were vague in your complaint or exaggerated things. Link: http://www.bbb.org/northeast-california/business-reviews/games-and-supplies/evolution-cards-and-comics-in-elk-grove-ca-47039112/file-a-complaint
2) Report them to Wizards of the Coast. WotC does have an investigations team that can look into this sort of thing, since they have an interest in making sure their game brand isn't being sullied by shady retailers. Even if the Better Business Bureau can't do much more than give Evo Gaming Store a bad rating, WotC can actually take steps to deny product to the store. No authorized product to sell = less money, and denying these crooks money is the best way to hit them where it hurts. The info to contact WotC is here: http://company.wizards.com/contactus
3) Give them negative feedback online. Even if they end up getting away with their shady practices on the Commander 2013 preorders, you can help other players avoid the same trap we all fell into. Submit negative feedback on Yelp and Google Reviews. Other review websites would help too, but those two sites are the big ones, and the first things to pop up when you Google the store. They won't last too long if their reputation gets destroyed online in a place where everyone can see.
Is Evolution Gaming even still in business? After a couple of weeks when all phone calls to them went straight to voicemail, now their phone number says "Voicemail full." And they haven't responded to any of my emails for over a month.

I noticed these things as well. My guess is that they're not out of business—stores normally don't completely collapse that fast—but rather that they're lying low until all this blows over. They've removed their online presence, but for all we know they're still conducting business locally. Or maybe they've closed their doors temporarily and will be up and running in a few months under a new brand/banner. Does anyone here either live in the area or know what's going on?
Regardless, I'd still report them to WotC if you haven't already, to keep them from swindling customers under a different store name.
A final note: their rating with the Better Business Bureau just plummeted to an F this week. Good work, everyone.
[edit:] Also, szwanger, you should probably start a chargeback if you haven't already. These guys aren't going to give any more refunds without being forced to.
7 pages of this stuff, I guess I don't need to say more, I'm in the same boat as everyone else.. BTW I looked on google maps, there is a bar within walking distance of the store. Just sayin.

Never dealing with these guys again, and will do everything I can do make sure others don't as well.

Also, their website, www.evogamingstore.com , has lapsed.
