Thanks. I'm completely inept at finding MTGO decklists on wizards.com. I usually just go to TCG or SCG, and their modern lists aren't updated very often.
Back on topic, I wonder what the ceiling for Zur and Threads are. Both are scarce cards from old sets with low print runs. The deck looks legit, and Zur in particular is one of those special cards like Snapcaster Mage and Stoneforge Mystic that just keeps getting better if powerful new enchantments are printed.
I think the deck gains quite a bit if they truly print the rumored Academy Ruins for enchantments in the next set. But I like Threads for a jump. It's 16 tix on modo.

Seems plenty expensive already since it's only a 2 of and 1 is in the sideboard.

These runs on the market are getting a little sickening. It may be because I'm relatively newer to online trading, but I don't remember seeing people going in and just buying TCGplayer in response to such little hype in past. Do people honestly make a lot of profit off this, or are they stuck with multiple play sets of cards that don't end up getting moved because people aren't going to shell out for these ridiculous amounts? The longevity of price memory is what makes it particularly bad. For example, shadow of doubt is still 7.5, and it hasn't seen widespread play in a while.
Question is, is this due to Modern demand or casual/EDH demand? Only place I'm seeing Damnation is occasional Jund SBs as a 1-2 of and a SB silver bullet in some recent 3-1 Mystical Teachings deck on MTGO

That's what my question is too. I play 2 copies in a Modern B/G Death Cloud build or basically B/G in general, but the deck isn't exactly meta warping. It still is the best black sweeper for EDH although Toxic Deluge is no nonsense as well.

I would argue Plague Wind, Decree of Pain and Overwhelming Forces are better unless you really,v really need to kill something turn 4. I also don't think that EDH is a large driver for Damnation.

I never said Damnation's price was being driven by EDH. The reason why Damnation is one of the best if not the best black sweepers in EDH is because of its cost for a sweeper with a no regeneration clause. The cause of Damnation's rather high price is because it was a time shifted card in a small set several years ago.
I agree, if anything it's Legacy. Infernal Tutor is not played in Modern because there's no LED.
Agreed.
Also if you just watch SCG on Twitchtv, you'll see many new players trying out ANT (Ad Nauseum Tendrils). Even in our own metagames, people will recognize many trying this strategy. This is probably the reason for the increase.
Just my own estimate - ANT in the metagame going from 1% to 3% is a HUGE increase in need for Infernal Tutors and Lion's Eye Diamonds.

Mono-Green's been something people have said to get on top of for a few weeks now- the deck's been around a month or so.
Yup my friend from college has been saying the same. He told me in mid December that Mono Green will eventually become a thing and already had a deck built. He was also speccing on Craterhoof Behemoth at $4 alongside Genesis Wave.

Rancored Elf will cancel your order if prices go up. Read about him and other shady vendors here.
