I would very much like to see either deathrite shaman or Llanowar dead in Vraska's deck, because of the benefits that they provide. Remand would also be very nice for Jace's deck, since it is a powerful card that is now expensive because it has never been reprinted.

I'd flip if either Deathrite or Remand were inside, but imagine how awesome them print both would be!
On the subject of pernicious deed, I shall say that I believe that that card is too valuable and/or powerful to be reprinted in this set, just as vindicate was not reprinted in Sorin versus Tibalt, although both abrupt decay and putrefy would be excellent choices for this deck.
I also believe that memory lapse would be excellent for Jace's deck, since it would fit with his personality and abilities, and it has not been reprinted in some time.

Putrefy was in both RTR block and IvG, both with new arts. They don't need a third print this soon.
Very safe to draw that conclusion. Mostly, they won't waste the rare slot when they have an option that is much splashier and.. y'know not a LAND.

I love getting rare lands. They are sometimes worth money.
I bet we see something like phyrexian arena or underworld connections in vraska's deck. Both of the planeswalkers are control-ish, it will be interesting to see how the final decks turn out.

Some facts of magic:
-Terror is an emotion which, when experienced, results in death.
-The pox was a disease notorious for having killed one-third, rounded up, of Europe’s population. Smallpox, on the other hand, killed only a single person.
-A person riding a horse cannot be stopped by foot soldiers, large animals, walls, archers, or even catapults.

More likely underworld connections. The card was actually printed in RTR block and the name fits the assassin theme Vraska has going.
Phyrexian arena is too out of flavor (flavor is a huge deal in dual decks) and has already been printed in a previous dual deck while underworld connections has not been.
Only strike against underworld connections is that its currently played in standard, but the dual deck designs should have been finished before the first black devotion deck appeared on the tournament scene.
I'm really hoping for a good mono blue deck. I enjoy mono blue, and if they make the deck well and give it some cool cards, I might make a casual deck out of it. I'm still hoping for any combination of these cards

Why do you have such a negative attitude about rare dual lands? Some of them are expensive to purchase as singles, so I would welcome any new printing that increases their availability and decreases their price.

Because I would much rather have something that isn't considered a staple and whose only value is derived from its tournament application. I don't purchase them because I have no intention of using them.
The most egregious are the stupid checklands that they printed to death.
I also really don't like the fetchlands or the manlands from Zendikar. Actually liked the other cycle from it though.
The only dual lands I liked were from Future Sight, but not all of them.

Any combination of control and mill cards I would be satisfied with.
A mill theme for Jace would be interesting, because Vraska's colours are the colours of re-animation/ graveyard shenanigans. If Jace is milling, I'd expect some sort of re-animation in Vraska, but not a heavy focus.
Then again, they might leave of on the milling duel deck for next years Ajani vs Ashiok duel deck.
Indeed I'd imagine Vraska's deck to be more kill-spells and shady rogues and I would be surprised if they don't feature a gorgon or two (even though it was said she was disliked by other gorgons).
Highly unlikely;
First, Vraska is not a necromancer
Second, that would make her deck overly similar to the Golgari duel deck from last year
Yup. I'd expect something more along the lines of Pharika's Mender as opposed to reanimation. Though I'd expect the Vraska's deck to not have much durdling, more like kill spells, etc.
I also have my fingers crossed for Remand. $10+ uncommon counterspell is expensive. And it was originally printed in Ravnica where this duel is taking place, so if there was a product (not IvG) it's this one. Otherwise we wait for MM2?? :/

You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
Honestly, I'd be very surprised if we didn't get Remand. It would be a slap in the face if we didn't get it. I'm hoping we don't get new art, so the price of the card goes down dramatically. I would expect they didn't, similar to the last time they reprinted a modern staple in a dual deck (Life of the Loam)
I believe you mean the Deed Steed
And yeah, I've been riding that since the deck was announced.
As I've said before, if Vindicate can *almost* make the cut,
surely Pernicious Deed isn't too valuable.
Reprint Stasis!
Control needs more love.

Vraska's really much more about putting people in graves than raising them from graves.
Wow, that's a zinger.
