The buy in to momir is only the avatar (10tix from the store, slightly less from bots), and basic lands (which can be free, or expensive if you want to play with good looking ones).
You can see stats on pauper deck costs here, although do note that they're sometimes wrong on the price of specific cards (eg. sometimes they track a cheap promo that's no longer available, or a more expensive version when a cheaper one is available):
So I just started MTGO and am trying to get used to it and set it up for easiest use. How would I make it look like that of Frank Leopore's videos? Sorry if these questions are dumb sounding, I am completely new to MTGO.

Are you using V3 or the Beta client?
A quick youtube search shows Frank seems to still be using V3. So if you're using the beta its going to look a LOT different.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
Click Download Now and then select the button that says "Current Version" instead of "Wide Beta".
Beware it will take much longer to patch the first time (and every time but mostly the first time) than the beta did.
I play most of my games on the wide beta, but the deck build and trade interface are still superior in V3. In fact I'm pretty convinced trading is nigh impossible in the beta right now.

Things are just so much more unreasonably complicated on the beta. In addition to that, I'd say if v.3 looks like 1998 then the beta looks like 1999! Anyway, I just really enjoy how simple v.3 happens to be. I have only seem game play, which just seems superior. The click noises are to the point, the chat is anchored to the left side of the screen instead of having a window that pops-up, and things seem to operate much smoother. Also, also, you get to see the dice roll! What a terrific thing! thank you very much for your help, though. I really appreciate it. Are you able to have both clients downloaded? I suppose I could just operate both like you said, using the perks of whichever one when I need to.
@ the OP:
I believe you removed the link to the list of bots that are good for new players,
They included a list of bots who do 4->5 and good pack bots, freebie bots, etc. I would like to get the link again or see a new list. Thanks!
I'll see what I can do. Was the OP to that thread up to date, or did you really have to dig to find what you were looking for?

I want to thank you guys for gathering all of this information and making it available. I'm looking at getting an MTGO account and was curious about some aspects of the how the game operates. This gave me a good idea of what to expect when I get around to getting an account setup.
This thread is full of good information. One thing that may be hepful to players, if such information is available, is "cycling" your collection. I spent a decent amount of tickets collecting cards for decks I no longer play. Some current standard and some Commander. I'd like to liquidate as much of it as possible to earn credit towards a modern deck. I'm finding the over all process extremely frustrating though. Most vendors want only 4 or 5 cards and the ones that will take more will only provide pennies in return (regardless of rarity or popularity). It would be nice if I could just dump my collection for a ticket or two to a single place. Does anyone know if such a bot/person exists?

There are several places that will let you upload a text file and make quotes on your collection. I generally find myself selling a lot less on MTGO than I did in paper because the uncommons and junk rares don't tend to be worth enough to make it worth my while. (I don't need that 1-2 tix for the headache, plus those cards might be worth something one day, who knows. Check out the bot chains listed on this site: http://www.mtgofairtrade.com/cards/370/ (left side). Most of the bots have email addresses in them. Email them and ask them if they will quote your collection. Just keep in mind if you've sold the good stuff they might not offer you much.

I appreciate the advice. Also, is there a Trading Post specifically for MTGO? I tried filtering Trading Post topics by MTGO and MODO but it returned no reasults. Is there a way to network with other members of MTGS for trading on MTGO that is as convenient and well organized as the Trading Post for paper?

Not really. I know we discussed it when the site was in beta and even on the old site, but prices are so liquid and rapidly moving on mtgo that a forum is kind of slow.

I can understand that. I just would prefer to trade with the community I know than Randos on MTGO if I can help it.

Hi I had a question about mtgo. Recently I was playing a match and me and my opponent were both low on time sub 1 min. He used a command that made it so that he basically never had to click anything again. so no matter how fast I clicked ok or pushed f2 his clock didn't decrease and there was constantly the yes or no boxes for me. I was wondering what button does this because I had like 10 more seconds then him and won game one but lost the match cause I didn't know how to do that. Thanks.

Silly question, not sure if this is the right place, but how do I choose to discard to activate a bloodrush? I right click the card, but no option is showing up.
EDIT: I was using the mechanic wrong, you need to execute it once already committed.
Is there some information on 5-card boosters anywhere?
Can I just bring 3 of these in place of a 15-card booster to an event?
It does say that they are legal for event entry..
Does 3x5 card boosters have the right amount of rares/uncommons/commons/basic lands for a draft, or could there for example end up being no rares or multiple basics in a pile of 15?

Just copy/pasting from a beginner's guide I've been working on:
5-card Boosters are not tradable, but the cards inside are. The rarity of the cards inside depends on which pack you receive. Four out of every five will be an "uncommon" pack, which includes 3 random commons and 2 random uncommons. One in five packs will be a "rare" pack, which includes 3 random commons, 1 random uncommon, and 1 random rare or mythic rare. Even less frequently, "premium packs" include a premium card in place of a common. These packs are the exception to the “never open up packs” rule - they have no other use, other than opening them up - so have at it!

Well, I'm not sure if that is a bug - they maybe can be used to enter events...there are just no events where the 5-card packs can be used to enter that I am aware of. I'm sure it is just really a technicality.

You cannot buy individual cards in the official WOTC store. Certain products, like the Commander series, come with specific known cards. Individual cards can be purchased on the secondary market - from dealers, bots, or other humans.
You do not get a free physical copy in the mail. The initial post links to a primer on Set Redemption, which is the only way you can turn your online cards into paper cards (in a quick nutshell, you pay a fee to trade an entire set for a brand new paper set sent to your house).

From that, delver will set you back something around 90tix the vast majority of which is in cloud of faeries, daze, snap and sideboard cards.
