No, I absolutely hate those types of cards. Are they going to make Kraken Hatchling in every color now? Realize this; I am a Control player usually and I hate that card. I barely like Spellskite and that card has an amazing ability. Need I go on?

I was grinning when I saw Tietze playing the Ox and doing well with it. It was especially entertaining to see the games where the players were battling over its presence.
Reprints the one card that people point to when saying that art objectifies women.
Well done Wizards.
Liliana does not objectify women in any way at all. We have gotten to a point in our society that every single picture of a women must be objectifying a women in some negative way......blah blah blah.. That is not the case. (((Sarcasm)))Picture of a girl drinking a milk shake, must be sex related and putting women down, picture of girl sitting on a beach, picture of a girl driving a car, picture of a girl on the moon at a new space station.)))
You have a picture of an attractive strong power women who girls dress up as for anime conventions. What more do you want? The picture is fine, happy to see a reprint. Sick of of seeing people claim that everything in existence must be putting women down. Then all I have to do is replace the word "women" with anything else to get the same mentality; fish, cats, arabs, blacks, jews, men, environment, whites, chinese, old people, etc. It doesn't matter what word I put in. Stop sucking life out of everything man. That artwork of her is awesome. Stop putting stuff down man. Just stop. If the picture was really as negative as you claim she would totally nude, in a kitchen, making sandwiches and giving blow jobs. Her abilities would be horrible as well. +1 do nothing -2 do nothing -6 do nothing. Instead liliana of the veil is an amazing planeswalker comparable to jace, the mind sculpter with great art to appreciate.
My suggestion listen to some comedy radio for a while, pandora is free, youtube is free there is something out there for you. ***** go make fun of somebody. The whole world is so serious and campaigning for some cause, or someones rights, everything is a hate crime, racist, sexist. blah blah blah.
"O no mcdonalds must be slandering a hate crime against skinny people every time they make a big mac." hahaha jeeze You're just someone perpetuating another groups negative perspective that they've made you believe is correct. Look at the picture for a hour and tell me what's wrong with it? I don't see anything.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
I never thought I'd see the day that Wall of Cow was an effective method to dampen aggro.
Me neither, but hey, wall of omens was a pretty good card back in its standard days.
But I guess that's what happens when voice of resurgence is a thing. Why get punished trying to removing the threat when you can just block it forever for 1 mana. It even stops boros reckoner without a second thought.
I couldn't care less whether people play "bad" cards in main or side. What saddens me is a format where this is seen as acceptable or even logical. Basically, I don't care if you want to run the Ox, Exava, or Isperia in your Standard deck. I'm not a card elitist in that sense. But if bad cards are being deemed more playable in today's Standard, how horrible must the format be for that to happen?

This is... actually pretty cool. I like when cards that make expert players go full-on elitist(i.e. "vanilla creatures or defenders are terrible by definition") are played widely.
EDIT: What do you mean, cards that suck? Cards that suck are the cards that are not played. That's like saying "I hate when evil people do only good things all of the time".

Wizards can start putting booster packs inside dog poo and dog owners will still complain.

It's not being "played widely". It's seeing usage comparable to One with Nothing, probably less.

at first I thought "yoked" like "ripped", but "yoked" is actually a thing referring to an ox having a wooden crossbar attached to it.
so I learned something. good job, Ox.
I think I'll still imagine it wearing a bro tank and Sperrys lumbering around some gym, though.
It's derived from the same thought process. The more common term was "built like an ox" until someone decided to make fun of body builders "big dumb ox, not good for anything other than putting a yoke on them and put them to work"
I still remember in the '80s we referred to body builders as an ox. Than there was some news story where a guy got punched for saying something about a "big dumb ox" than sometime in the '90s the term "yoked" sprang up and took over the reference
It's been almost 20 years later and I'm not sure the body building community has caught on that they are still being called a big dumb ox every time someone refers to them as yoked. My friends and I still joke that you can judge a body builders intelligence level based on whether or not they think yoked is actually a complement or a put down.
As with most slang though, if you know it's history it typically starts out as an insult until enough stupid people start to think you are complementing them with it and the masses begin to use it as a complement. (I could point out historically a wide variety of insults that evolved into complements due to social stupidity...)
So there you go, yoked means big dumb ox not good for anything but putting a yoke on them. If you translate that as ripped/muscled, that's up to you to ignore the rest of the phrase it's derived from.
*shrug* but than ignore is the root of ignorance; and ignorance is bliss, some people choose happiness over intelligence
If that comes off as me being a miserable curmudgeon I apologize, we can just blame it on me being old
I think it is hilarious that some people get upset over a card like this being in standard. I also find it funny that it can block 20 to 50 dollar cards all day long.
I am happy some are looking outside of their narrow view of what is or should be playable, and dip into the other 95% of the card pool.
I think its great some are using a 0/4 do nothing creature. All it does is slow down the problem decks for the deck they are playing. Sounds like solid deck building.
I started playing this by my second Theros Limited event (the same night as the first Pre-release). I also played the 0/6 for 3. Im not surprised that this is seeing Standard play. Its basically a half price Wall of Omens which can actually attack if you need it to, without the card draw.

In a format with creatures that can be cast as enchantments with bestow, I wouldn't be shocked if it saw even wider usage
It's a first turn wall that stops anything they can cast that early and by the time they can put down bigger you can buff the thing yourself
And with lightning strike around it's safer to use it as shell to build/buff off of than most other 1 or 2 cc creatures
Me too, I love seeing cards like Yoked Ox in the competitive scene. It's always nice when a card that looks like it's limited-only becomes part of a deck. Sort of like Doomed Traveler in The Aristocrats earlier last year.
Anyone else?

Apparently the card isn't cruddy since it is seeing competitive play
Here's to hoping more commons and uncommons can make a difference in standard play this season.
U Soramaro, First to Dream U (decklist)
W Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite W (decklist)
Nath of the Gilt-Leaf (decklist)
Glissa, The Traitor (decklist)
Jhoira of the Ghitu
Melek, Izzet Paragon
Borborygmos, Enraged (decklist)
WBG Ghave, Guru of Spores WBG
WRG Uril, the Miststalker WRG (decklist)
It's just 0/4, and it's pretty cruddy. The fact decks need something like that to deal with aggro is pretty disheartening.

He's not trying to get, like, shredded, he's just trying to get, like, yoked, bro. You know?
