Advent of the Wurm is a big green/white creature that doesn't get hit by Lifebane Zombie. It also works very well with Sundering Growth which could prove to be a powerful card with Theros (it's kinda funny seeing people going on about how Naturalize will be a powerful removal spell when there's such a better alternative right next to it.)
Speaking of cards that are good with Sundering Growth, as much as it pains me to say it, I believe Voice of Resurgence will be much better with Theros. Not only because its only good answer is leaving (Pillar of Flame) but also because of how good it is with auras, often being one of the best ways to not get 2-for-1 when you attach an aura to creature that your opponent kills in response.
Ethereal Armor and Sphere of Safety are obvious ones. Before, you had to dedicate your deck to those cards by running a bunch of auras/enchantments you wouldn't normally run over more reliable cards like creatures. Now, your creature themselves will be enchantments! (Sure, we don't know exactly what those enchantment creatures will look like, but it sure won't hurt decks that like to run as many enchantments as possible.) If there's also more stuff that encourage you to play enchantments (like an enchantress) this could get really ugly.
Though my personal favourite has to be Mana Bloom. It is an enchantment you can play again every turn. If they print more cards that care when you play enchantments, it could be very sweet. Once again, an enchantress would be amazing.
I'm calling Lavinia of the tenth, maybe in a bant shell with primeval bounty, and faerie impostor to repeatedly bounce her, plus what with the new legend rule and all.
Can you imagine? I can't conceive any reasonable situation in which it would be true, but it would make me the happiest person in Manhattan.
well you can shut down monstrosity

The new Garruk; however I think he sees play now. I think Obzedat's Aid will become a more prevalent card in reanimator Strategies, and especially with a bunch of Enchantments in the next block.
Someone mentioned Trait Doctoring, which is possible because of the Heroic Ability.
How does trait doctoring shut down monstrosity? Monstrosity is putting counters on a creature, presumably followed by some effect. It has nothing to do with land types or colors.

If MTG is a part of your life, the formats are like relationships:
Standard/Block = The on-again, off-again holiday fling
Modern/Vintage/Legacy = Stable, homely. A ***** after absence/misreading
Limited/Sealed = Heart breaking free spirit
Commander/Cube = Agreeable, needy and expensive
Pauper/Peasant = Sweet, kind, practical, but shy and boring
Battalion abilities and just think combined with Young Pyromancer and Xathrid Necromancer and a slew of Boros Charms, Brave the Elements, and Silence can do.
Can you imagine? I can't conceive any reasonable situation in which it would be true, but it would make me the happiest person in Manhattan.
The Theros gods each have a basic land in their art, so it's possible that Trait Doctoring might end up being able to hose them (if they're mechanic involves, say, P/T equal to each Island or whatever you control).
that's not what happened at all. kamahl stabbed phage, akroma, and some old lady and they became korona. then korona got stabbed by her "prophets" and kamahl got drunk with a mutant centaur
Istvan if Trait Doctoring makes it into a winning competitive list (and not as a singleton in the sideboard for lols) I will ship you a playset.
I think the shocklands will eventually be worth more than they are now although that has very little to do a change in standard play. What does everyone think about Duskmantle Seer, Plasm Capture and/or Rakdos's Return?

Duskmantle Seer will continue to go nowhere. There's no combo cards to draw into with him, and if you stuff your deck full of cheap dudes, it becomes a bad deck. PPlasm Capture is cute but 4 mana counters need to do more than what Plasm capture does. Also the color requirements are really horrendous.
Rakdos Return already sees a lot of play, if my jund prediction is right I suspect it will keep seeing play.

I agree with everything you've listed here, though for Plasma Capture I'm a bit more skeptical. If it does see play, I think it will be more likely that it became playable due to stuff like Clan Defiance becoming playable.
My personal list of sleepers are Wrecking Ogre, Clan Defiance, Master Biomancer and Wrecking Ogre. Right now, WO would be much more playable if it didn't eat into the same space as Thundermaw, and Thundermaw's just much more consistent.

Duskmantle is a good guy post board against control. I was running him with cheap undying creatures, cheap counters, and playset of Deathrite and a few blood artists for awhile. Was a solid tempo deck. Dropping the seer and playing index is a real thing. The same can be said to play dimir charm at end phase and make sure your opponent takes the most possible damage at your upkeep before you swing 4 up high.
As for my thoughts on "sleepers." Spell Rupture Might be a thing if we keep see lots of huge dudes in Theros.
Voice of Resurgence is already a bomb, and Pillar of Flame and Terminus, the only "good" ways to deal with it are gone.
Tajic, Blade of the Legion will be a fcking house.
Boros Reckoner will still be monster
Trostani will be solid.
I could go on an on, but I think Azorious, Selesnya, and Golgari have some serious conteders waiting for rotation for their chance to shine.
Precinct Captain! Dude is a beast, and there's going to be some big shoes to fill in WW post rotation.
I agree with this...Not only is it going to be in a Aggro deck but I can see it being in control as well. A 2/2 First Strike that can make a token blocker for you for 2 mana is a beast of a card. It sees play in block in control allready
Sire of Insanity+1. How is this guy a quarter rare? I have won so many games when he's played. I love this guy. Criminally underplayed right now.
I think when the format slows down and control takes over Sire will be played more. I bought him when he made some appearances in Jund and then his price tanked.
And on that note in the same colors is Rakdos Return. Just a great card that will probably go up as well and be played more frequently if Grixis or DEGA can translate over from block
Zegana and Progenitor Mimic both have a reasonable rate for what they do if the situation works out for them... with mimic really depending on just what / how good the Theros ETB mechanics are.
Lavania may be a prove to be a solid 1-3-5-6 ramp card to hit your top end against less interactive decks /decks which lean on red removal...

Slingin' cardboard out of Yokohama, Japan. (if you're local and play EDH or want to test competitive, drop me a line!)
It's possible Deadbridge Goliath will see more play. I always thought it was a good card. 5/5 for 4 mana with upside has always been quite rare in magic. It saw a little play in Kibler brews, but with a lot of innistrad's green creatures rotating, I can definitely see this one seeing more play.

Survives shock, curves out, it's just so good.
Okay, for real sleepers, I think Desecration Demon is going to see boatloads of play. You just can't go wrong with a 6/6 flier for 4 mana.

The only reason it's not huge in Standard now is that Restoration Angel totally trumps it. Angel rotates, and this card becomes amazing.

Aetherling, Mizzium Mortars, JaceAoT will definitely increase in play/price.
