@Yonekura: Yea, let's stop making artifacts too. I hate those little machines.
Why exactly would they stop printing one of the best selling-machines of their supertypes?
I understand that the "flood" of PWs makes some of these rather dull or uncreative and they may quite quickly run out of new intuitive abilities which are also interesting.
Generally we have a few archtype-abilities for PWs:
Generating Mana: Xenagos, Garruk 1, Koth, Ral Zarek
Generating Tokens: Elspeth 1;2;3, Ajani 1;3, Garruk 1;2;3, Sarkhan 1;2, Sorin 2, Vraska, Xenagos.
"Negative" interaction with singular permanents: Ajani 2, Chandra 1;2;3;4, Domri Rade, Garruk 2, Gideon 1, Jace 2, Karn, "Koth", Liliana 2;3, Nicol Bolas, Ral Zarek, Sarkhan 2, Sorin 1;2, Tamiyo, "Venser", Vraska.
I guess we got the point, we're already pretty much cycling the abilities with variations by different loyalty-effects, different requirements/restrictions or a different effect: Exile, Destroy, Deal Damage, Tap, -X/-X, Sacrifice.
However just stopping printing Planeswalkers will not be a good decision for WotC.
I am just a person that doesn't like planes-walkers or creatures that much. I will use them competitively if they are strong. I am myself do not like the rule changes to damage spells or combat with introduction planes-walkers. I also find it a bit annoying to make a super-type for cards that will never appear at common rarity. Every other super-type can be found at all rarities. They are also annoying since there is very little mono colored removal for planes-walkers. Red is probably the most effective color at destroying walkers. Blue can counter them, but that's about it. There are spells with the catch all of hitting any permanent. I feel magic should be more spell orientated, it is called magic after all. I am little more excepting of creatures because summoners are a type of caster. I just think there is too much emphasis on creatures. You can run creature removal main deck and it's generally a good idea. I just would like the game to reach a point were creature removal is a side board card. Planes walkers just irk me because they are not a spell you can cast flavorwise. You the player is a wizard/planes-walker so it's kind weird casting a planes-walker when you more likely would call upon them. Wizards owns the game and will keep doing what works for them. I just wish they would do somethings differently from time to time.
I know right, But don't quit yet, my best friend's uncle's former room mate said his cousin works at WotC and says Jasmine Boreal, Marhault Elsdragon and Stangg will make flavour text cameos.
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
With the exception of Sarkhan vol and Ajani, they tend to rotate walkers every other block.
I personally dislike Jace. It didn't start that way though. Agents of Artifice is one of the best magic novels. However he has received no character development since then. He has become an emotionless face, and while logical for a blue character, it makes him cold, distant, and unrelatable.
And the other main cast of walkers are similar. Liliana is probably the exception. But for instance, Garruk needs to do something. We get it, you're a hunter. There is only so much you can do with that. Green embodies other traits as well. A walker that seeks to overthrow civilization, a plant based walker, a walker that seeks to be the pinnacle of evolution, a walker that uses the terrain itself to fight, etc.
The classic five are quickly wearing out in my opinion. Ajani has probably received the best development from enraged to calm unitity mage and liliana has room to grow as the veil consumes her. Chandra refuses to change, jace ignores any change, and garruk has room as the curse worsens, but wotc is ignoring the curse. (They should have had avacyn remove some of the effects but not all of them permanently).
Tamiyo is a better face for blue imo. Green needs a new walker, red needs a new walker or a good chandra, white should be gideon, black could be new or sorin.
I don't think they necessarily rotate walkers, because we've seen characters in succession (Ajani, Sarkhan).
I think it's that they don't want more than one character in back-to-back settings to help the different sets stand apart.
I would like to know where the hell Nissa is, that is for sure. She ran off to bring Sorin back, but she was not on Innistrad... hmmmm.
I figure the biggest issues is that the A-plot already had a green walker tracking a black walker, and they didn't want the B-plot doing the same thing.
Has anyone done a list of 'I'd like to see this character as a Walker?' I think that'd be more interesting - would certainly be a worthy Create The Card event.
I'd love to see Serra as a Walker - but there would have to be a serious hunt for artwork that would be worthy...
Nope. I'm calling you out on this.
Show me where she blames him for releasing the Eldrazi.
Give me a source where she holds him accountable for their release at the Teeth, and not herself.

Just my little rant.

Or maybe he's like Santa, except he doesn't watch you if you're sleeping and he doesn't care if you're awake.
Also, just realized that Garruk is totally the male counterpart of Poison Ivy.
I guess she's just not as good at tracking other planeswalkers as Garruk is.
