Can someone explain to me how Dack Fayden is on every single plane we move through in printed sets and not relevant to the actual storyline that unfolds in the block?

He is a product tie-in. It would be poor marketing for them to move him to planes for which they aren't currently selling new Magic sets.
He's a thief! He steals his way onto the planes ahead of the storyline.
For real. At least give us a "Where's Waldo" aspect of him in cards. I believe he was in Bred for the Hunt. But we have seen him messing around in Innistrad and now apparently in Theros but no sign of him in the actual story of the set or in the cards. Even though Tamiyo was a pretty "WTF wizards srsly?" moment at least she had some sort of tie in on why she was there in card form/lore.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.

because 1. a location has to have two intertwining stories? or 2. a location can't have two independent stories? choose one or both.

Planes are big. I'm not involved in every major event that happens on the same continent as me. I have other stuff of my own to do.

Given how keen WotC is on tying their settings together with Planeswalkers, it'd be nice if there were hints of him in flavour texts and art in expansions sets. This is definitely one thing that I miss from the days of old school magic design.

Okay, this is actually really cool and makes a surprising amount of sense. It is totally my headcanon now.
Although, I don't read the comics (might want to start at some point), but does anyone who does know Dack's colours? I think I remember hearing that he's UR, if he's WUBRG then that fits with him being us much more (as each new land and spell in the new expansions are the new manabonds acquired and spells learned in each plane he walks through).

Someday, I will own all of the dragons. All of them. 43/111, approximately 39% complete. Over a third done.
(calling it now; there will be a cycle of Legendary dual lands with Basic Land types in Theros block)

Does someone know how I can buy these comics in digital version? I don't need the promo card and I want some previous ones that I can't find anymore in comics shop.
I heard that they released a digital version of it and wanted to purchase the first Theros which have been released.
Can someone explain to me how Dack Fayden is on every single plane we move through in printed sets and not relevant to the actual storyline that unfolds in the block?
Not even all the block planeswalkers are relevant to the storyline.
For example, Tibalt and Tamiyo had nothing to do with the Innistrad storyline, Domri and Vraska were irrelevant to Return to Ravnica's (and Gideon also didn't really do much in the overall scheme of things).

Maybe "we" are Dack
I like this theory for a lot of the same reasons I like the headcanon that Tamiyo writes the Planeswalker guides.
