Such an odd criticism. Do you want them to somehow print only cards that are not remotely similar to existing cards?
The Scry cards have been similarly criticized. Scry, like Cycling, Buyback, Flashback, etc aren't very much by themselves and generally need some other effect to be useful. If Scry isn't part of some other effect, it's just a jayemdae tome variant. Scry's purpose is to be stapled onto other effects.
Same here. Kaspersky Antivirus using Chrome blocks the first page of any forum as a Trojan. Just started a couple days ago.
There is a thread for this kind of thing in the Community Issues forum about bad adds. They are the problem, and that is where you should let the admins know.
Creature types and exact wordings of Eidolons.
Creature type of Nylea's Emissary.
Exact wording of Colossus of Akros.
Can we add to this Prowler's Helm? What exactly does "cannot be blocked except by Walls" mean nowadays? Is this still synonymous with creatures with defender? From a quick gatherer search the last time a card said this was in 10th edition.
Perhaps you should just send WOTC a resume and tell them why you're better at Magic than one of their employees instead of complaining here, where nobody really has any authority on the matter.

Perhaps not. There is only one creature in this entire set that can block it Mnemonic Wall. It is basically "creature can't be blocked... in Theros limited". So it does have its uses.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
Really? Someone may have violated an NDA/TOS to get this out and you publicly thank them? I know you are joking a little bit....but you might not want to do that in the future.
You don't sign an NDA to get a Magic Online Beta account (source: I have one). Wizards very well knew what was going to happen, and did this because they wanted people to talk about the cards over the weekend.
This is a part of WOTC's strategy, I don't think we need to blame anybody here. This is not the godbook for gods' sake.
EDIT: Sorry for the confusion. There is an NDA, however the most they can do is revoke your beta privileges. There are thousands of beta testers. When they put Theros up there for the weekend, they knew for sure that one person was going to leak the whole set. This is their marketing strategy, not anything else.
Blue's only draw spell is a 6 mana sorcery that draws one less card than Opportunity? I was hoping for a Serum Vision type cantrip, but can understand not getting it. But only one draw spell, and it's a 6 mana sorcery draw 3???
There's the bad enchantment too. Fate Foretold or something like that. Blue did not see post Snapcaster love.
As long as Colossus of Akros is monstrous, it has trample and if any enchantment creature you control would assemble two contraptions, it assembles three contraptions and an engine instead. (It doesn't lose defender.)

The issue is that blue is UNBELIEVABLY difficult to balance. I'm a blue player (and I've been since I started) and I'm not whining because I didn't get the overpowered BS that has been dominating the formats for far too long. I like having to think about how I'm going to build my deck with the balanced cards that are available to me. Auto-includes such as Snapcaster only make the formats very boring. Variance is a huge part of the game. When you see a large part of the format dominated by a single deck, it makes people quit (IE, OG Mirrodin). Wizards has been very careful since the printing of JtMS because the card made the game incredibly one-sided. That card was mostly lack of thought on WotC's part, but they're working on not allowing a repeat.
I like blue to an extent so I know what you're saying. I greatly enjoy creatureless or very creature light decks (the last year of the ~11 creature control lists were too many for me to really like them). Blue being a color of spells often goes into that style of deck, it's not something they're really trying to push lately though.
I'm not saying blue specifically got screwed, I think the set is just bad in general but I was expecting the instant/sorcery power level to go up now that Snapcaster is gone (or atleast stay the same as Ravnica as the rest of the set depowers). Instead it feels like the power level went way down. I think most of my complaints about blue are that they're just pushing the color in a direction that's opposite of how I want to play it. If I'm going to be playing creatures, combat tricks, and so on colors like white, green, and red just play that game better.

Yeah, they were going to release these Sunday at midnight anyways.
Man this set is SLOOOOOOOOOW. Gonna make for interesting limited play. Some pretty solid EDH staples, the devotion land is a must have for my Ezuri Elves deck. And Purphoros is a deck by himself.
Gotta say this is the slowest set I've seen in a long time though. Almost nothing Standard Constructed worthy. Maybe 5-10 cards at the very most, including the planeswalkers.
Oh, back to limited, Heroic seems awfully lackluster with very few enablers. Sure, the bestow enchantments are technically enablers, but they're so expensive. Honestly, I'm pretty disappointed with the mechanics in the set. They just seem forced and uninteresting.
One more thing: The cycle that destroys it's own color is unbelievably unimaginative and pointless. "Counter target blue spell!" No one will ever run that spell, yes including Legacy. I don't care if Legacy is 75% blue, it's not going to be better than any blue counter currently being played. Sigh...I miss Zendikar block
I for one am looking forward to playing blue in this Standard, whether in a control or tempo shell. Blue doesn't look super strong in Theros, but neither do the other colors. The power level in Standard is going down, and everything will look bad compared to Innistrad.
This, however, is good for blue. The format is going to slow down, making blue's relative power go up. More importantly, counterspells didn't get better but they didn't get worse when everything else did. This means blue won't be exhausted trying to keep up with the neverending bomb after bombs of Olivia, Thragtusk, Thundermaw Hellkite, Rakdos's Return, etc. Blue certainly didn't receive anything oppressive, but things definitely are looking up for everyone's favorite/hated color.
One more standard of "play U or go home", just like R&D likes it.
I still bet almost everything worth playing having scry and being undercosted won't be enough to keep control spikes from *****ing about only loosing cause of "bad luck".

Yes sir, I take fantasy art and character design commissions, PM me for rates.
Is it just me, or will Breeching Hippocamp be a strong splinter twin card? Flash it in response to your opponent playing their sided pithing needle or torpor orb if you've got out kiki jiki, and then create your full board before their spell resolves. Or wait until end of their turn, flash it in, then drop splinter twin on it next turn and immediately pump out your board.
You don't sign an NDA to get a Magic Online Beta account (source: I have one).
There's a reminder of the NDA in every e-mail they send, last I checked. Or do you not read the e-mails?
EDIT: "All invited beta testers must read and agree to be bound by the Magic: The Gathering Online Beta User Agreement and Software License prior to logging into the Beta, and must keep the nature and content of this Beta test confidential. We would like to remind all Beta users that participation in the MTGO UI Redesign Beta is a privilege, and that failure to follow the Code of Conduct and/or the Online Beta User Agreement and Software License may result in your removal from the current Beta test and prohibit you from participating in future Beta tests." In every e-mail. The full text of the agreement is elsewhere, and I won't reproduce it.

Art, as I have come to expect, is superlative. One thing confuses me though. Bronze Sable has the creature type satyr when the art and name appears to be a weasel. I mean a cursory google searching finds pictures of weasels. Am I missing something here?
The fables of Æsop mention some weasels (a woman turned into a weasel). Maybe it should be the existing creature type Ferret
Maybe I'm not that dissapointed on case of "enchantment-doesn't-matter" because I've read several times how MaRo explained it's just a subtheme. Still I can understand that some players (many of them, actually) might feel deceived, as not everyone reads MaRo's blog and articles, and what was said about it at other places seemed vague at times.
Still, I like the set. Maybe not many format-spread staples, but the cards are fun, and the flavor is great. Can't wait for prerelease; Limited looks promising to me.
Although I must admit, Scry looks poor in Theros. I understand what they wanted to do with it, but it looks terribly uninspired when compared, let's say, to M11 (Many nice scry-cards there; I had the U/W Power of Prophecy intro pack and it was great).
Oh and Meletis Charlatan has SWEET flavor. Perfect translation of Sokrates'/Plato's philosophy of ideas into Magic.
Kinda dissapointed with Sea God's Revenge, though. I was hoping for a card that returns three creatures to hand, actually - but 6cmc... Eh.
Anyway, all in all, I dig Theros. Really, really like it. Maybe because I'm a sucker for flavor, maybe because I don't care about cards being bonkers if they're fun. Theros has me bought and I'm waiting for prerelease next weekend.

obvious trolling, why in the world would they give it trample if it still has defender? not to mention the complete lack of contraptions otherwise in the set.

Seems like a gaseous form variation, but a broken aura in limited without a fog stipulation.
Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't be surprised for it to be found to be so written.
