3/3 and you scry off the first Heroic trigger? Not too shabby.

There are more gold cards than I'd expected in this block. Very interesting.

Oh snap. I like that. And a 2/2 to start? Sweet. Hopefully there will be a cheap, cantripping aura or something. However, I guess Heroic gets to be too powerful with cheap cantrip triggers.

I guess I'll be bestowing on this guy frequently enough, though.

This guy looks very fun for Limited.

For all the creatures with Heroic that we've seen so far, I really hope we get a substantial number of Auras, Instants and Sorceries so that they have some value in Limited.

Flashing in a deputy targeting him will really mess up combat, and the deputy can save a guy from removal if you really need to.

Love this guy, I'll at least try him in the new standard.

I'm sad that such terrific art is being used on a card I'll never play outside of limited, but this card is really neat.

Tons of multicolored here, but it seems to be even more so in UW. I wonder if this block has a color-pair breakdown similar to the original Ravnica block (though obviously at a much smaller scale).

Deputy's effect is an ability, not a spell. It won't trigger Heroic.

Hmm... not bad I guess. The Scry can help, but most importantly, it grows.

Heroic as a limited mechanic seems to have a lot of potential, between this and Phalanx Leader.

Why would you want to target him the Deputy anyway?

All you'd get is the scry,since he'd be bouncing to your hand and thus losing the +1/+1 counter and the Omenspeaker or w/e is a much better card to do that with since she costs 1U and has scry 2. (Combo doesn't work anyway so meh).


I am LOVING this set so far. I was originally just thinking a RW Martial Glory deck, but now I might do a 'murica Heroic deck

(you know... good ways)( the W scry, protection is fine but other than that what you will do? Magma Jet your dude?) ( soo far 9 ways to do that)
