This isn't all that crazy but last night someone stole my commander (Jenara w/ the sword of Feast and Famine equipped) with a Gilded Drake. I had Thada Adel out and was stealing his artifacts so I drew into my own Phyrexian Metamorph and decided that I was going to steal his Metamorph with my next Thada Adel attack.
So I attack, steal his Metamorph. Use his Metamorph to copy the Gilded Drake that I had control of as a result of him taking Jenara. Took back Jenara giving him a Gilded Drake. Then I used my Metamorph to copy another player's Rune-Scarred Demon using that to tutor for my Pact of Negation knowing full well that the first guy was going to be doing something evil to me in response to all the thievery and I was tapped out.
I managed to make it back to my next turn without him messing with me so I attacked him with Jenara. In response he tried to cast some removal spell on her (I can't remember what) so I used the Pact (didn't have another counter spell in hand).
His next turn he casts Obliterate. I can't pay for the Pact as a result and lose.
Sadface.
Meanwhile the other two players are able to recover from the Obliterate and gang up on him for board wiping them to get at me.
So basically in the end we cost each other the game by getting into a little war focusing on stealing each others stuff.
Haha I know how these wars go. Not necessarily a theft war, but my friend and I were in a game with 2 other people. One guy is a guy I just recently met, but I'd say we are sort of friends, and one of his friends was at the table as well. The first friend (we'll call him Thrax since he was using his thraximundar deck) knows what my decks do and often comes after me due to being such a huge threat later in the game.
Anyways, I had a really good start (my Tajic deck - even though it's a french list, I like to play it in regular EDH games as well).
Turn 1: nothing.
Turn 2: Umezawa's Jitte.
Turn 3: Goblin Assault.
Turn 4: Equip jitte to the goblin and swing. Then cast Stoneforge Mystic fetching skullclamp.
Turn 5 and on: I was drawing tons of cards, killing stuff with my jitte, and threatening huge battalion swings with Tajic.
To try to slow down my jitte, Thrax played and started using maze of ith on whatever I equipped with the jitte. I blew up his maze with encroaching wastes and was threatening him really hard with Tajic with battalion and my jitte on a goblin token.
After a while of duking it out with my friend, someone casts ashes to ashes killing my commander and something else. I'm slowed down quite a bit at this point due to focused removal (as is expected - but non-overloaded cyclonic rift from Thrax on my goblin with jitte is a little overkill lol).
The real deal was when my friend used wasteland AND tectonic edge to kill 2 of my lands (putting me at 4 mana and him at 5). My hand was full of crazy things that he really didn't want to see come into play, so he though that was the best course of action. (Note: At this point, he had set my life to 10 with sorin markov, which I later killed with a goblin token)
The whole game for us turned into a silly 1v1 in the midst of a 4-player game and we basically bogged each other down so hard that we could not compete lol. It was stupid of us, but it was hilarious. I think everyone had fun anyways.

It is always fun to be at a table watching two guys go at each other while everyone else just kind of sits back and builds. No matter where you are in the equation its hilarious and enjoyable for everyone. It almost always leads to some sort of a crazy play or series of crazy plays.
There is one guy in our play group that plays a crazy expensive perfectly tuned control deck that can just lock up the entire board when he gets going but when he sees the signs that two other players are about to start a side battle he just sits back and watches (even if one of the two players ends up with a massively favorable board state as a result).
Its just so fun to watch a duel in the midst of a multi-player game sometimes.
I get out an early Primsatic Omen and Exploration, but not much else. Norin lands t4 and 5 Possibility storm and Confusion in the Ranks. We durdle looking for enchantment removal but are stuck with bad creatures as norin lands steel hellkite and other bombs.
Then before we lose, i possibility storm into a Last Stand with 8 lands out. I kill the hellkite, take tokens which exchange for his good creatures, do 16 to his head, and proceed to valakut+prismatic omen to win the game over the next few turns.
Was really hoping to find Scapeshift to really nail them all in one fell swoop. But landing a lucky last stand made me laugh so hard.
Wow. A last stand indeed. I forgot you could combo that with prismatic omen lol. Tempted to stuff that into my karona jank deck now...
I had to nuke the hellkite, as i was afraid hed steal it back next turn and start removing things like omen and exploration, which he ended up doing to some other creatures
But yes, my first last stand went off in a truely epic fashion! The game would have been over the next turn too!
I remember a game we had a while back. I forget whatthe other 2 decks were but a buddy (Player 1) borrowed my Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, and me (Player 2) I was playing my Teneb, the Harvester. Player 3 cast Bribery on me and got Griselbrand (before he was banned). Player 4 stole it with Treachery after he drew Player 3 a lot of cards and sacced it to Birthing Pod for some irrelevant creature I don't remember. On my turn, I Reanimated it, drew myself a bunch of cards and passed the turn. Player 1 drew for the turn and cast Gilded Drake targeting Griselbrand. With Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind and Psychosis Crawler on the battlefield, he simply stated, "I think I win..."
I had an epic(?) game last weekend. One friend borrowed my Braids deck, I played Riku and our 3rd was playing Saffi.
T1:Briads has a Sol Ring! =p, lands for us
T2:Briads comes in, Saffi puts S. Primordial into play. >_>. I put Woodfall primus into play destroying one of Saffi's lands.
T3:Braids gets Blightsteel. Saffi get Conjurer Closet, plays Saffi, then bounces SP at eot, blows stuff up. I get clone copying Primordial - blowing up Saffi's closet.
T4:Braids gets Kozilek, gives Saffi some poison (blocks with primoridal but Saffi brings it back), Saffi get Nim Death Mantle, I get my own C.Closet - bounce clone, copy primodrial, blow up the mantle.
T5:Braids kills Saffi. I play Ingester eating Blightsteel. eot I eat Kozelik. =)
Wrapped up the game from there.

As a connoisseur of fun, interesting matches, I still to this day have not been able to craft that "perfect deck"; the deck that I can play and have fun over time, doesn't get boring, but simultaneously is fun to play against. I honestly don't think it exists. It's like a unicorn. A ninja unicorn.
Sitting at a table with 2 friends, im piloting The Mimeoplasm against Krenko and Rhys. About 10 turns in Rhys goes infinite tokens with Luminarch Ascension, Earthcraft and Doubling Season. He passes turn to Krenko. Krenko then makes infinite tokens with Thornbite Staff or something and casts Goblin War strike targeting Rhys, and passes turn. With Krenko tapped out I drop Massacre Wurm for the win doing infinite damage.
Im proud to say I stared down two infinite combos and won. /flex
I haven't played commander too much to really specify a crazy play but I did pull out some nice moves tonight using chainer to dig out Phyrexian Metamorph from opponent's gy copying arcanis drawing into nekrataal, phyrexian plaguelord, and disturbed burial unfortunately he played some card to return all black permanents to their owner's hand which I was down to 7 and of course I lost, we did manage to go through about 90% of our decks in 2 hrs though. I think the craziest game I've ever played was against my bro and a friend of our's, he had a soul foundry out imprinting a platinum angel and I drew into a sculpting steel imprinting my platinum angel to it and we ended up with around 1000 platinum angel tokens
Yesterday I was playing my Karador deck against Krenko, Shirei and Maelstrom Wanderer. Shirei was stripping everyone's hands with Thrull Surgeon and a few other cards, so we were basically relying on a topdecked card. Krenko had a lot of tokens, and Wanderer had Primeval Titan + Clone. The only one without a board was me, only with Karador and 8 lands in play. I topdecked Akroma's Vengeance and wiped everyone's board. Everybody just passed without doing anything important and then I topdecked a Rise of the Dark Realms with the 9th land in my hand. I ended up with Sylvan Primordial, Clone on the Primordial, RestoAngel on the Primordial to blow up everyone's lands, and Kiki-Jiki + Resto to combo everyone out of the game.
Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
In a 4 person game I was playing Kresh the Bloodbraided. All of my opponents are tapped out and I have a Doubling Season on the field. I drop Vraska the Unseen, immediately ultimate her creating 6 tokens, then cast Insurrection and kill everyone at the same time.
Obzedat's player had both Sanguine Bond and Exquisite Blood in play and was gonna Exsanguinate us all. Everyone's all "oh god" but then I calmly respond with SkullCrack. I never thought announcing that I would crack a kid's skull would get me high fives.
Playing my Thrax deck against Omnath, Mimeoplasm and Karador. Omnath has a defense of the heart in play and a bunch of tokens. Karador and Mimeo have their generals and some random creatures.
I have Mystical Teachings in my yard and Zealous Conscripts in my hand. EoT for Omnath I flashback teachings to find Teferi and flash him into play. During my untap I flash in conscripts to steal Defense of the Heart.
During my untap I flash in conscripts to steal Defense of the Heart.
This doesn't work. Players can't play spells or abilities until their upkeep steps - and even then it's too late for defense to trigger. There's no good way to zealous conscripts a defense of the heart unless you've got something like staying power in play.
3 person pod, Rith, vs Teneb, vs Azusa (me). Threats were played, then answered, then I landed doubling season, earthcraft, and vernal bloom, with a known sprout swarm in hand. One gaze of granite later and the board was cleared. Everyone drew blanks for several turns, until I drew genesis wave (with 2 saprolings in play). G. Wave for 8 nets me, little Garruk, Coat of arms, Ritual of Subdual, recycle, and mana reflections. With an empty board, this locked the game long enough for me to make enough tokens to kill the other players one by one.
Genesis Wave: winning games. All day, every day.

Shirei was stripping everyone's hands with Thrull Surgeon and a few other cards, so we were basically relying on a topdecked card. Krenko had a lot of tokens, and Wanderer had Primeval Titan + Clone. I was down to a Patron of the Moon player and a Zedruu the greathearted player as my opponents. I had to leave soon so I wanted to go out with a bang on my final turn for the day. The Patron player had a Caged Sun for blue, the Zedruu had two Stolen Identity copy of it for Red and Blue, and I forked that Stolen Identity when it was cast to get me a copy of Caged Sun for Black. Also on the field was a Conjured Currency being passed around, currently in possession of the Patron player.
At the beginning of my upkeep I cast Word of Seizing to nab Conjured Currency so I can take the red Caged Sun from Zedruu's player. My Runescar Demon couldn't really get damage through because both players had flying blockers so I decided to sac my demon to Altar's Reap to see what I'll draw.
I got Mind shatter and Zealous Conscripts. This was exactly what I needed to screw one of the other players out of the game completely. The Patron player rarely wins so I decided to make the Zedruu player discard his hand, take his copy of my Runescar Demon with Zealous Conscripts, and attack with both for a total of 11 damage. I had to go and the Patron player had an overwhelming advantage over Zedruu's player so I actually decided the entire match.
Thankfully we are all good friends so no hard feelings were had.
I lost the die roll and went last, casting Enlightened Tutor for Land Tax. I was fortunate to have drawn Scroll Rack in my opening hand. For whatever reason, the other players left me alone and I actually managed to "outdraw" every other player by 10+ cards thanks to Scroll/Tax. Compounding matters further, I cast Gauntlet of Power on turn 5.
For turns 6 through 8, I'd Scroll-sculpted my hand into some absolute silliness. I was the only player without creatures on the board. Everyone else had their commanders out—with Ghave at 10/10 thanks to Corpsejack Menace—and one player also had a Vorosh, the Hunter with 6 counters on it. On turn 6, I cast Catastrophe for creatures (much to the relief of the player who'd already taken 10 from Ghave).
Turn 7 or 8 is where things went bonkers. I'd made every land drop since turn 1, in addition to an early Coldsteel Heart and Darksteel Ingot. On turn 7, I successfully cast Dreamstone Hedron and then proceeded to tap out floating all of my mana. I then cast Armageddon followed up with Faith's Reward. With the lands returned from Reward, I immediately cast Austere Command naming large creatures and enchantments. This took care of the creatures folks had just cast since the Catastrophe the previous turn, as well as another player's Privileged Position. AND I STILL HAD MANA LEFT thanks to the Gauntlet.
Needless to say, everyone scooped.

At the beginning of my upkeep I cast Word of Seizing to nab Conjured Currency so I can take the red Caged Sun from Zedruu's player.
This doesn't work. Conjured Currency's "at the beginning of your upkeep" trigger doesn't happen unless you control Conjured Currency when your upkeep step starts.
...that being said, if you were sure it was going to be your last turn I suppose you could have just cast word of seizing directly at the caged sun...

Well stealing something that steals another is flashier than stealing 1.
Though we swear that would work because it's still the beginning of upkeep...

beginning just happens once, and is when the beginning of upkeep abilities trigger, then, on the upkeep, they are put on the stack. then you can cast spells
Untapped my lands and cast Demonic Tutor for Seize the Day. Cast that targetting Thraximundar, swung again on the Sen Triplets player and knocked him out. Untapped my lands flashbacked Mystic Retrieval targetting Seize the Day, swung at the Ruric player, then untapped again and flashbacked Seize the Day, swung for Game.
